In this episode, we take an excursion to Benny Kim, in Phelan, California. Scrolling through social media, I've noticed a quick advertisement that the nursery is having a 50% sale! On a deeper inspection I've noticed that he will be closing the nursery as of the end of the year. I've been there about 10 years ago when I started out in this bonsai journey and he has been a major nursery in the early 90-2000's supplying many people in the LA area. So I had to invite and record this place once more before the doors shut down for good. I also wanted to wish Mr. Kim the best in his retirement and wanted something to remember the nursery from so I went on Saturday December 23, 2023 and this is that recording. Mr. Kim and his daughter Hannah will be taking appointment visits to the nursery to the end of the year, so please show them some well wishes in person or virtually on Facebook or here! Tom. The Next Time someone leaving or Retiring you should do Numbers On the Trees that are On sell so we Can Buy Them and Have Your Club Members help out for a Small Commission for There Work. There was some Small Shohin Trees you blew by that I would have Brought if there a Number System. Please let us Out of State get a Chance before there Die from No Water. So sad to see them or the Club should take them for the Bonsai Club to sell.
