Nice ride around Liz.The 800 is a bit top heavy to manoeuvre, although the big horizontally apposed engined Gs are heavier they dont feel it because of the low center of gravity that engine has. Got back just in time by the look of that rain. Cheers
Thanks! I noticed this immediately but then got used to it - not a huge issue due to the low seat height. The big GS is vaaast - although I have only tried the GSA from the 1250 range - maybe a regular GS isn’t so monstrous.
I have several GS models one is the 750GS, second one I’ve owned. I would have considered upgrading to the 800 but it is exactly the same (even the TFT) as the 750 apart from a small increase in CC’s power and torque so there wasn’t really any point. Nice to see a review though👍
Once agin Love the vid. Now, after watching all of your vid's, gonna have to be patient, for your weekly vid's to come out. Curious if you have replaced your Gopro with something else yet? The F800GS would be a dream bike for me, surprised the one your riding, didn't have a windshield.
Oh boy the pressure is on 😁 I have no idea what to do next, these are being put together the day after they’re filmed at the moment. Still haven’t replaced my GoPro, I need to get a wiggle on or I’ll run out of time 🤦♀️ scared of the commitment here. The 800GS ticked a few boxes for me, I enjoyed our 45 minutes together. I’m sure a screen would be easy to get hold of.
If that was yesterday then you were so lucky. I went to get my easter eggs and it was sunny but on my way home it absolutely poured down withHal stones 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣. That GS suits you
@@R1_Liz lol. Yes they were fine I’d put them in my side paneer’s 😂🤣don’t know if you would remember but I was parked next to pinky I had the silver FJR and you let me have a picture. 😂🤣😂🤣🤗
I actually do like the look of this bike until you said it was keyless, and where is the screen. I'll stick with my Guzzi but thank you for the ride and walk around, I doubt I'll ever try one. Sorry about Pinky.
I guess you can get a screen for it without too much fuss, but keyless seems to be the way bmw is going - I’m not a huge fan of it either. Pinky will be back soon, hopefully no drama 🥲
Looking at your walk around that engine is not like the super reliable Austrian Rotax engine in the old F800 / F650 twin. Maybe BMW have started making them in house. Love your mates comment "this bike is like a bus". Also fuel tank is not under the seat is it? that is a shame as well, I like it because filling with a tank bag on is so easy. Got back just in time by looks of it. Just had a look online and they have put a 900cc engine in that f800 this year. Same as my F650 is a 800cc.
I was on the low seat version today and the seat is all black, with the front being a lot lower than the one Liz was riding. Liz's bike had the red side on the back of the seat. I'm not sure you can get the lowered suspension without the lowered seat, looks lie its a package on the BMW site.
I'm jealous! I really enjoyed my brief ride out on it today. I'd just been out on an R12 and hated it, the F800 was joyful after that. I had been really keen to get the 1300, but had to give up on it, when I could only barley touch the tips of my toes down, even with the lowered suspension bottomed out. No matter, the F800 could be my choice after todays ride. All the best with it, I think your buying a quality, comfortable and quick bike.
@@R1_Liz I love it I came from a 390 duke. I found that bike kinda boring lacking in any real personality (you know what I mean). I love my lady tenere yeah I not flat footing it too a while to get used to. I'm only 5"10 on a good day reversing is kinda daunting more so on off cambers. When it's got a full tank it feels like your riding with a big bag of sand on your lap. I'm hoping to do some more off roading on it. The tyres are kinda crap for it anything more than gravel or wet mud they ain't great.
I thought about that! Could have been an opportunity for a roast 😂 this subject is actually interesting because I remember a debate in uni about eating roadkill, there must be people who would look at that twice - it’s fresh, maybe someone grabbed it. I have a friend who will remove roadkill from the road so animals trying to eat it don’t also get run over.
@@R1_Liz id eat it f0 sh0 if eye seen it get pl0wd, fresh. ur friend iza very th0t full h00man. ima r0adside scavanger f0r birds m0stly cuz eye luv feathers but deer antlers will get me t0 st0p t00. 🤗
I have a top spec F750GS and I cannot see any difference between the "new" F800 and mine, apart from the tech now comes as standard and a slightly more powerful engine. The F900 is a genuinely new bike but this looks like a very lazy rebadge.
I’m unfamiliar with most of the GS range so didn’t really notice the new ones come out until BMW started promoting them - it’s nice that they’re upgrading little bits for the ‘new’ models - even if it isn’t a majorly exciting refresh at least the bike you love is now up to date with the rest of the range - maybe there wasn’t much wrong with the original 750.
Very enjoyable watch on a rather wet miserable Monday evening 👍
Thank you! Glad to have improved your evening somewhat
Everything about that was very enjoyable!
✌️
Thank you! 😁
Nice chilled vid again Liz 👍 not a bike I would have much interest in but it looked handy on those roads.

Great vid … so glad it’s not just me that sings in their helmet like no one is listening 😂
well...not Vengaboys tho...
I don’t even know why I’ve got that song in my head ☹️ it’s been 3 days. Make it stop.

@@R1_Liz 🤗🤗 thank you that’s nice to know. I’m going to try and pop over to Loomies for your birthday as it will be great to see you and Mike again.
Bonsoir, pourrais tu me donner la marque de ta caméra de guidon ? Merci et superbe vidéo ... 👍✌ ... 😎
It's not always about having the biggest it's how you use it😉😂
After riding Svarty with my sportsbike friends yesterday, can confirm, you’re absolutely right

I had no idea that 750 and 850 were replaced, even though they were popular for many years.

Poor bird 😅 I hit a hedgehog once that darted out in front of me... 10 metres on and the tires were completely flat 😂 felt awful 😢

how do you feel about the suspension fork?

@@R1_Liz Thanks! And you could flat foot the F800GS?
Hi Liz, was this the lowered chassis + low seat version?

@ronrussell1652 I believe you can get a regular seat with the lowered suspension version. I've ordered one! So excited!!

I think that bike siuts you. I almost got it but choose a tenere WR instead as they wouldnt let me test ride one,
Thanks, I liked it! How is the Tenere? I’ve never tried one - it’s stature is terrifying

It's as heavy as the F750, 227kg wet weight. 10HPmore for $1000. I don't know if that's a deal. For me 10hp for 1k, I'll take the 750
