This is a demo vid for the Lowlander bass by De Gier Basses. There is another vid where we explain all the details, this vid is sounds only. We choose to demo it in a musical context, sometimes with a little use of effects like overdive or reverb, which you'd also do in a band situation.

I have a '76, which I adore. I've had it a long time and it's changed everything about my live performance.
I insist on playing stage left to make sure nobody gets headstock-side of me. It lives in its case - everyone thinks I'm mean because I shout at them if they touch it. I can't lead audience clap-alongs because my left hand is welded to the neck.
I have dreamed of being able to get Gibson to make me a custom one - with a volute and a couple of other changes to make it what it should be - a thunderous extrovert beast that you can have confidence in.
My '76 now lives in my bedroom and I take a Musicman to gigs because I'm scared to take the T'bird - a neck break would ruin it for me.
I reckon this Lowlander is what I needed all along. The looks. The sound. And the construction promises confidence in its integrity.
Maybe I could even leap around on stage like the dick I always wanted to be ;-P
If I can find the cash I'm having one. Promise.

I wouldn’t have thought it possible for that bass to sound better than it looks, but then...Michel. That tone is as good as it gets. Fantastic demo, all-around.
Recognisable reaction. Often people judge by the looks and think 'cool but not for me'. Then I invite them to play it, and all of a sudden they are intrigued and don't want to let go of it.

I love this bass ! I would love a black Lowlander bass ... but I need money first. I think that a lot of people would have gone crazy if you had chosen to build the Lowlander with the exact same body as a Thunderbird !
Maxime Mestres / Les Vaudous thnx! About the shape, I did an interpretation and not a copy. And it also helps to keep brother Gib at a distance.. But mostly because I like it this way. Thnx anyway!
