@@PocketCams This SHOULD have been how it came packaged. Relying on wifi connection for precious footage when on remote locations is foolish. After the controversy over sponsorship+ swaying reviewers content, I wonder if it's too little too late. Have they also added lens covers such as ND & polarized options? Been away from Insta360 for a while now
Then the package would have cost 50.00 more and would have kept people from buying and those who don't need it don't have to pay for the extra item in the package 🤷🏻
@@markmasaki1480 Better yet, an SD card slot should have been built into the Action Pod itself. It might have made it slightly larger, but it would have been a worthy sacrifice.
I've had the Go3 for awhile now, and I think it's time to bite the bullet on this. It will be much more convenient. Just too bad it doesn't come in black!
I am buying a Go3 in October b/c I want 4K for when the twins are born. My workflow has zero use for the Quickreader. Ha!!! Good video but you sold me with Go3 with earlier vidoes but the Quick Reader would sit in a drawer.
So i didnt catch if you mentioned if it could record while on the reader? It would be great if you could extend the recording time by comnecting it to a battery while recording
Getting about 30-40 MB/s transfer rate from the quicker reader to iPhone with insta360 app. This speed normal? Seems slow. It is about the same speed as WiFi transfer. Expected it to be faster.
Oh thank you - you can use one of my other Amazon / Insta360 links and it will still count for me if done shortly after. I’ll update the links later - thanks for the reminder. I totally forgot!
ANDROID!!! , somehow ive had problems doing the setup, it sounds easy but mine still hasnt let me change the root file or acsess files, sure theres an easier way than how there tutorial explain as that menu is different on my device, bought last month but still not used sucssesfuly
Do you mean that when you copy you clips from the GO3(s) to the Quick reader SD cards, it replaces the real time stamps of the footage by the actual time when you copy the files on the SD cards ? I guess then that overlay data from, for instance, your Apple Watch are not in sync anymore ? Correct ? If so that’s a huge drawback indeed…
I have both the Go 3S and Quick Reader and it makes so much sense to use it together that I feel it should have been part of the sales package.
That would be my perspective too - be interesting to see what happens next time around

i know!
Totally agree. Game-changing bit of kit.
Totally
I no longer own a lightning iPhone/iPad but that is pretty cool they included that!
I agree!
Wow, this is what they should've had ALL ALONG. Finally a microSD card slot!! Thanks for the review.
You're welcome!
I really like my quick reader! Small simple and fast!!!
😀👍🐾🐈⬛👏
It really is!
Great explanation. I didn’t realize it could do all that. 😀
Hey - yes, It's pretty versatile and capable
I’ve been a huuuuge fan of the mighty go3s
same!
You can also use the Quick reader to charge your camera with a power bank while recording... Try It
True!
@leowilkinson2854 who
So, Go 3S is useful or available for use it on Iphone and other devices with USB-C connection ?( like samsung, xiaomi, etc..)
i think you'd be able to use with the Android Insta360 app, but also use the straight mp4 video files as you usually would
I love mine 😁
Mine's integral in my travel kit now

I can see how that would happen - how's life preparing for the twins arrival?
Can I buy the standalone camera without the screen part and use this piece to update etc?
Afraid not. You need an action pod - screen bit - to update the camera unit.
@@PocketCams thank you!
What type of sd card?

What's the Biggest SD card that the Quick Reader can support?
I asked Insta360 - they say 1TB
@@PocketCams any special specs for the SD card? eg. speed, etc.
would this work well?
Lexar PLAY 1TB microSDXC UHS-I-Card, Up To 150MB/s
Brother, can you edit the video of this camera with an Android phone, please tell me
Sorry no - don't have an android device
Can you connect this Quick Reader to a SSD (e.g. Samsung T7) and directly backup the files?
I doubt it. There's no software to manage that process of a direct plug in to T7
OMG! Sold @ 3:11 ….. I don’t see a referral link to this on Amazon; too small not worth it?

I wonder if the product engineers agonized, adding lightning connection…. When the lightning connector is being phased out.
I hear you - though there are a lot of legacy handsets out there still in use - still worth the effort I think.

Sorry. Don’t have an android device.
Not bad, but little expensive.
Still think it's pretty good value for the price
@@PocketCams it's fair. I have the Go 3, so I might have to get one eventually. Lol. Vary convenient for this product.
Too bad with respect to overriding timestamps

This is true. i tend to use the offload for archiving only - but would very much prefer timestamps to be preserved and will raise with Insta360
