Ah, that’s clever! I did one auto edit my first day. The titles were over the top (Eg called my video an awesome trip-it was just a bike ride around the neighbourhood testing the camera; I wanted to change the titles and now I know how, providing I use the app again). Thank you
I would love to see an updated version about your video editing workflow (focusing on the Insta360 Go 3). How much pre-processing of clips, e.g. keyframing, do you do in the phone app before you import into Lumavision? How does Lumavision (and other tablet-based apps) deal with large video file sizes? How do you work with (and source) b-roll, sound effects, music on the tablet? Do you shoot in LOG and color grade in Lumavision? Do you archive projects somewhere and retrieve them for later use?
Sorry - not sure about Android - I use iOS only on mobile. Maybe hunt around a little - maybe it's not all that different? I honestly don't know apart from what you'll be able to find yourself on the net.
Its there. Choose your clips and length of the video. Press "Export" and then "Create a story". Voilá 😊 And dont forget that you can reframe clips. Choose your clip, and hold into the video and you can reframe the clip (if you missed something or the angle is wrong in the clip you can fix it)
@@BangBruceProduction thanks. I was missing it. Thought it should be on the edit screen like it shows on the video. Maybe the iphone version is different
Thank you for your wisdom. Do you know how to transer the raw files from the app to a tablet? Do you know how to transfer the raw files from the camera to a portable hard drive?
i had no idea the auto-edit feature existed. i assumed it was the ai trim option and thought it was underwhelming. Thanks for all of the tips and keep up the great work
Awesome video, love it. I learned a lot from it. Thank you. I don't believe you have the most recent video editing app. I downloaded it in June when the new GO 3 came out and I some different options. You can go under create video and it gives you a blank editing timeline to insert music, stickers, title and videos. I was trying to insert some screen shots, but I don't seem to have that ability.
It’s the most recent version. You can create a blank story for sure and start from scratch. But this video was about tweaking an auto-edit. Thanks for you kind words :)
Hello! Is there a way to add your own audio using the app? I’m will be using an external voice recorder and I want to add the audio in post when editing the video! Thank so much for your knowledge and insight in advance!
What I don‘t get is: where should the Video for extracting music go to (ipad and iphone). So far I made one, have it where all the pictures and videos live in my tablet and phone, but the insta360 app tells me there are no files for extraction…
Hi! Did you test this GPS remote without life preview, which should be compatible with GO 3 and GO 3s. Would that be possible to get speed overlay in the post software?
any recommendations for setting the go 3 up for a cat? I've been using 1440p freeframe 50fps with the horizon lock and stabilizing maxed, but my cat is a bit of an unusual specimen. He trots, and often times runs, but the camera is swaying with his shoulders, which is making for some super jittery video. The mojority of his videos are in trees, but again, he is very fast and often times jumps branch to branch or tree to tree. If I slow the video down then sometimes it looks okay, but I know that it could look better. The other cat videos I've seen look much better, but those cats are just kinda walking around, and not very active. You can see what I mean by searching "The Adventures of Purrdy & Big Boy", on UA-cam. I haven't put much on there because of this. oddly those videos look way compressed in comparison to the ones on Facebook and Instagram.
Slowing down the video if shooting at 50fps would be what I would have tried, so you've covered that. From a mounting perspective, would your cat tolerate some kind of harness to help with stabilisation? Most likely not, if like most cats ... But you're right in that comparing and active cat versus a cat just walking around will produce very different output. Have you tried using an additional stabilisation plug-in to whatever you're editing on. I suspect it probably won't help, but maybe worth a try if you have one easily available (on a free trial or something like that).
@@PocketCams I haven't tried any other plug in, no. Good idea! As for mounting, we started with epoxying the hat mount to the chest of his harness. That's mostly not great, and now we testing a collar, but I haven't reviewed any footage yet. Got to caught up with getting out and making footage :-P looking at it though, it says more and is less comfortable for the cat :-/
Sounds like it would be best to skip the tedious audio stuff and just export the video as is, then quickly open it in another editor like Capcut or iMovie and do the audio removal/addition there.
Thank you Sarb, Now you can add music file from your device in mp3 format without the need to add them to the app library nor covering them to video (Im using Andriod version of the app, Ver 1.54.0
That's great to hear! Adding music files from your device in mp3 format without any extra steps is a game-changer. It's all about making the user experience as smooth as possible!
Hello. Like your videos alot. Can't seem to find the option to add motion blur on the smartphone app when editing a timeshift video. On 360 studio it is available. Am i missing something? Thanks
Hi, that option to remove text or entering the timeline mode from template mode is not avalable in version 1.54. thankfully the audio only import has been available
Great video well done ! Looking to buy a fast video editing tablet ,i noticed export of a 4K video from 360 camera footage is very slow in the insta360 app. Which of the following would you recommend for very fast exports ? -samsung galaxy tab S9 ultra -Ipad Pro
Hi there - sorry, I’m not in a great position to compare as I haven’t used an Android tablet for years. I do have a 3rd gen iPad Pro and it is excellent. Renders pretty fast from insta360 app. Hope that helps a bit.
Not using this method it seems. There doesn't appear to be a way of putting a transition in front of the first clip. Not that I've found anyway. Tried building a story from scratch too.
Not sure what you mean. When you press auto-edit you can choose which video segments to include. When it has created an auto-edit, press 'next', and then select create story. On the top row, you can drop in other video segments. Think of it as a head-start to creating your own story. Hope that helps.
Thank you for answering. But the ‘frame’ I am referring to is those effect when I choose a template from auto edit. You may refer to your video at time 2:11 , the bottom right part, there is ‘frame’ in the sticker section. And I want to add this ‘frame’ effect when I want to edit my own video. But I donot know where to find those ‘frame’ effect.
het heeft me goed geholpen , maar in de laatste versie van de ap versie , kan je het niet meer toepassen , is er een andere mogelijkheid , of moet ik de software terug downgraden ?

After exporting how to do gain access to the video to edit again in future?

Not that I know of - which is disappointing. And thank you!
