Hi, i am trainer of martial arts and did alot running and intense cardio, at age 43 i got knee arthritis. Many doctors say that running is harmful for cartilage and some say even walking make knee worse. I don't know what should I do? Can i walk long distance? I fear i get worse and even can't walk.
Not knowing your specific case, I can't give you any individual advice. However, in general, walking is good for knee arthritis, but with the same parameters as running: how much, how fast, how often, and how you walk (your gait pattern). Here's a video about walking with knee arthritis that may give you some insight: ua-cam.com/video/63SJMytfL08/v-deo.html
Thank you so much Dr. Candy, i appreciate your knowledge, wisdom and care. Have a great night.😊❤🎉
