I played it recently with 6 players, and we had the impression that the game is unfair. The Harkonnen have three advantages: 1. their Noble knows his Warriors from the start 2. They win when points are equal in the end. 3. They wound the Atreides Nobles twice when they attack them. - - - But the Atreides only have one advantage: the Sigils only benefit Atreides and the Assassins only harm Harkonnen. Even if you count that as two advantages, the Harkonnen still have one more. And the Harkonnen advantages always work, while the Atreides need some luck to get the right action cards with Sigil or Assassin and to target the right Players with them. - - - All the other Action cards seem not to favor the Atreides as well. It could even be said that they favor the Harkonnens. For example the Harkonnen Drone is a card that you want to use even if you are Atreides, because it's one of the few ways to find out who your enemies and friends are. But using it only gives you a point if you are Harkonnen. So, as I said, it is much easier for the Harkonnen to win. Is this intended? Or am I missing something?
Thank you Cameron, i had never heard of this game till now but it looks very fun. I think i might get this as a Christmas gift. Does this game have longevity?
It's a party game, so think along the same lines as Resistance or Avalon, but bringing the Dune theme. Playing will be different with different groups of friends, and it's different with varying numbers too.
Please find a new host. This is unwatchable. Don't add "flare" or try to make it "fun". Just tell me how to play in a timely manner. This video should be half this length.
That's a shame, Cameron seems to be a firm favourite with our regular viewers. Keep your fingers crossed for coverage from 3Minute Boardgames, he will no doubt do a stellar job of explaining it even quicker.
@@tomuchasd You're right, it was quite rude. I probably could have found a more constructive way to have said it. However I do still stand by my overall sentiment. As for a reason to watch a video, everyone has their own. I'll watch it for mine, you watch it for yours, and the other 79 people who have seen this video at the time of writing this can watch it for theirs.
Hey thanks Cameron! Always love when you are on to teach games :) Great work here and cannot wait to receive my copy! Keep at it!
