Can’t believe I just heard about this game today. Any suggestions for simplifying it so I can play it with my 80 year old non-gamer dad? He commanded a battery of mobile howitzers during the Cold War in Germany and tow behind artillery in Vietnam so I think he’s gonna destroy me and ask about upgrades immediately but it needs to be “non-intimidating” to get into.

I still can't figure out where the Wanted tokens go...

How long did the new war in this alternate history last? There's a logical progress from Flames of War to Team Yankee but Clash of Steel doesn't fit in there between them.

Question for GF9 that I havent heard answered anywhere. How does mixing the away team sets work? Lets say i mixed charachters from Riker and Picards? How many members can i take? Who can I take and what is the system for fair balance?

Will there be an expansion with the 12 doctor and bill pots and nardol. I wish the 12th doctor wasn’t removed in the second edition. Especially since 13 was already available in an expansion. Now there is no way to get 12. Still fun game though. Really enjoying it. 😊

I just received mine. I absolutely love it, I just wish the four inserts were different and not identical. There's not quite enough slots for every token, which means some tokens you're splitting between all four inserts, some you're splitting between three and some you're putting all in one. There's enough space, but the slots don't actually differentiate between every token, some of them yes, but not all. The game book also doesn't tell you precisely how many of each token you should actually have - cards yes, but for tokens it's just "Tokens". I already see an issue for years down the road when players are wondering if they're missing pieces.

Great tutorial and fantastic game, i hope there will be more expansion and a solo/coop mode!!! But i have a question about the team composition. In the rulebook, it is state that i can swap a specialist with a specialist and a commander with a commander so, for example, i can change Riker with Piacard and Shelby with Laforge. However, in case I want to change other characters (besides Specialist and Commander), I could for example also include Deanna and Wesley in my team and then go beyond 4/5 members or is there a limit to their number and so I could do for example 1 commander, 1 specialist and 3 at random? I read the rulebook many times but this rule is not specified… Thank u!

Do you need 2 sets of breen/dominion starbases to play or does the dominion just use other people's starbases and not have any of thier own?
