If I’m wanting to keep the backup camera as factory, is it as simple as connecting the wire/harness during the install from the stereo to the adapter on the vehicle? Also, anything need to be done to ensure the usb from the car still works and connects to the radio?
Is there a video that show the cable hookups better? For a non-auto person it was done super fast with no explanation. Also, I have two cables coming from my dash that didn’t have places to plug into the kit. I’m guessing one was my factory mic as it’s not reacting to me when I ask Siri something.

Can I still use my anytime backup camera with this? I’ve got the new head unit installed but I’m stuck trying to figure out how to get the anytime camera relay working now.
@@anthonycerase7725 It kind of works. There's an option on the Sony head unit to view the camera and then you can switch inputs with the anytime switch.
There's no easy way to get the factory wiring down from the mirror to behind the head unit. The easiest thing to do is to add an aftermarket backup camera system to the kit and that way you'll have the backup camera image in your head unit.
Are you sure it will fit a 2011 4runner limited? Because 2010 2011 2012 2013 4runners have different wiring... my bad experience with t9 head unit nothing worked except the radio because only 1 connection fit.
Thank you! Well, Moritmoto headlight install, raptor light install and interior LED light upgrade ... and our Sony 7000 bundle going in a 2018 Toyota Tacoma! Stay tuned and thanks for watching!
Looks like an awesome bundle with a super easy and clean install. I am drawn to this particular receiver as I do not have an integrated JBL amp (or aftermarket amp) in my 2016 SR5 Limited and as such am not doing any justice to my aftermarket Focal F+R speakers. Is it unnecessary to install an amp wiring kit that connects to the main battery as this head unit has a built-in internal amp rated at 45 watts RMS/100 peak x 4 channels? If not are you still drawing enough juice to safely and sufficiently power the unit to get the most from the built-in amp itself? Really wish Sony gave the screen size of the 8000 with the amp output of the 7000 but oh well. Thanks in advance for your time!
Great questions! You know what, we also kind of wish the 8000 had the power of the 7000 as well, but if it did - it would certainly be more expensive. You’ll still need to connect to a battery to install an amp for sure. I get that question a lot so it makes sense your curious! If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to contact us: trailgridpro.com/contact/
@@TrailGridPro Appreciate the reply. The original question, to be more specific, is whether or not you guys use or suggest using an *amp wiring kit from the main battery that connects to the 7000 as the 7000 has a pretty powerful built-in/integrated amp* (for those of us who do not have a existing aftermarket or OEM JBL amp)?
@@jasonbecker9181 Ahhh, thanks for clarifying. No, you absolutely do not need an amp wiring kit if you're running our 7000 bundle. You won't need to connect it to the battery. It'll do just fine pushing the power on its own. Sorry we misunderstood your question the first time!
So I bought one but i cannot find any videos of people installing these bad boys into a 2.5 Gen Tacoma (2015). Do you know if it is a plug n play system?
@@Youngtradder Ah, we’ll have a video out soon for a 2015 Tacoma. We don’t have one at this point yet … it’s coming soon! If you have more questions, feel free to contact us here: trailgridpro.com/contact/

Yep, the Limited had the upgraded JBL system with the subwoofer. Our bundle works whether you have the upgraded JBL system w/ sub or if you have the non-amplified JBL system.
Sorry, not sure exactly what you're referring to. We show the removal of the factory head unit and then the install of the new head unit in this video.
@@TrailGridPro i don’t think you showed mounting the new radio to the new plastic piece around the head unit. My radio unit came uninstalled from the head unit replacement and not quite sure how to install it since it’s loose and falls out

Sony should have made a Tesla style extra large screen to cover the entire space. There is too much plastic leftover on either side. Not liking the look, Dasaito and T9 look better IMO.

I am with you on this. While the overall "clean" look is really nice, especially if you have a Limited, I feel there is too much wasted space on the sides. Not fully sold on the 9" either. I do wonder if the head/media units for the 2020+ work for the older 5th gens.
@@jimgleason3062 Totally understand! I believe you can make the 2020+ head units worth in conjunction with adapters, however the unit itself goes for around $2,500 unfortunately.
