In Halo: Escalation Admiral Hood offered to make the Master Chief an Admiral stating that very few people would find fault with the promotion. Maybe it was to keep him under tighter control.
Master Chief declined because it didn't have the same ring to it. imo he declined because it gives him a lot less flexibility, altho he would be able to carry out his own operations as the highest in command always, but isn't necessary since everyone just hands command to Chief since he is clearly the most qualified to lead.

How powerful are the Infinity's Mac guns since the Orbital Mac guns in Halo 2 were about 42 gigatons and the Infinity's guns are said to be more powerful then how much? Like 50 gigatons, 60 gigatons, maybe 80 gigatons?
@@TheRacoonGhost they were able to damage a Forerunner ship, so that is an understatement. They also used one at low power on Sanghelios which did massive damage, nearly destroying an army of, I think it was Storm Covenant, but I could be wrong. Where did you get Gigatons from? Do you have any idea how massive that explosion would be? 42-80 GT, yeah and look at how massive the explosion of a real-life 50 MT Nuke was.
This is such a well thought out idea that is so detailed. It would be amazing to see the devs use this group as the true enemy as humans, a group not talked about too much in games.
I wonder if we could see ONI deploy whatever Project: JAVELIN is. Halsey mentions them in her journal when theorizing who the S-IIIs on Noble Team are.
Really makes me want a Battlefield-style game set in the Halo universe revolving around a legion of Marines responding to an Innie outbreak. The player would take control of a squad of your average grunts uncovering the truth that the Innies are actually being manipulated by more powerful forces, such as influential corporations and the Office which lies in their pockets. Lot of 'deep state' stuff. It could come with it a strong message as the initial culture of fighting the Innies is one of 'Vietnam-style' 'Kill-em-all!' irreverence, only to slap the player with the dark truth. That the only winners in this war of lies and propaganda is the ones who stand to profit from it and maintain their invisible puppet strings. Some Deus-Ex/MGS style anti-war red pilling.
@@novemberguy True that, but I think the Spartan II Program is more of an accomplishment made by Halsey, now she wasn't the best person in the world either, but she is definitley responsible for the birth of heroes like Master Chief, Noble 6, ect.

I REALLY want to see a halo game about taking down oni once and for all. It would be best implemented as the final game in the franchise as the only threat left in the galaxy would be ourselves as humans.
What is it called when Spartans are severely injured and they need to self destruct to avoid info being taken from their suits? Like Omega 13 or something? It pops up on their VISR
@@dr.catherineelizabethhalse1820 Harvesters would need time to do that, whereas NOVA bombs destroyed worlds almost immediately. To my knowledge the Covenant didn't have anything that powerful.
This is an quite incredible video with the lore and theory with Oni. I am getting more and more invested in this lore of Halo and I can say that I am impressed. I enjoyed this video as well as listening to this. You eared yourself an subscriber and I love to listen to more of this. It is very interesting and dark I just might look into the history and play the games of Halo if I can. Oni is very dangerous and it would be quite something to see it in game and narrative form of how it would be viewed and think upon.
As a mandalorian I may not come from the same galaxy as you, humans from earth, but I know what's honorable and what's not. If you should need me and my clan to fight against ONI we will stand by your side.
That would be an interesting twist. And it would showcase why spartans are terrifying opponents for humans given that's who spartans (Spartan 2's and 3's specifically) were originally trained to kill.
What's funny is that this theory makes a little more sense in halo 4 & 5 atm. And it would be an awesome story idea. Imagine that Oni nearly losing the war cause a flood outbreak once again, or maybe a finalized controlled flood form as a new enemy. And imagine fighting other Spartans. That would be hard af but fun af
I've been wondering if ONI would ever get shown as the self-serving spooks for a while now. Glad I'm not the only one that thinks they may be the Halo 'verses next big problem.
I still maintain that it was a horribly missed opportunity to not give Chief an auditory flashback to Keyes telling Chief to keep Cortana safe from the enemy when Del Rio demands Chief surrender Cortana. I think it would have really helped to explain his actions further, and been a nice nod to CE.

Can you imagine chief leading an innie rebellion? Watching him drive rag tag armoured vehicles with a mix of rebels civilians and deserters on raids and ambushes... that would be a freaking amazing game.
I really hope after Infinite they will actually make this into a game.
How powerful are the Infinity's Mac guns since the Orbital Mac guns in Halo 2 were about 42 gigatons and the Infinity's guns are said to be more powerful then how much? Like 50 gigatons, 60 gigatons, maybe 80 gigatons?
the infinity "super" macguns are forruner enhanced, what that means powerwise idk but lets just asume they can kick some ass.
@@TheRacoonGhost they were able to damage a Forerunner ship, so that is an understatement. They also used one at low power on Sanghelios which did massive damage, nearly destroying an army of, I think it was Storm Covenant, but I could be wrong.
Edit: It was the Servants of Abiding Truth not Storm Covenant.
@@avatariroh0543
So over a hundred gigatons?
@@thorshammer7883 probably around there
Where did you get Gigatons from? Do you have any idea how massive that explosion would be? 42-80 GT, yeah and look at how massive the explosion of a real-life 50 MT Nuke was.
This is such a well thought out idea that is so detailed. It would be amazing to see the devs use this group as the true enemy as humans, a group not talked about too much in games.
I wonder if we could see ONI deploy whatever Project: JAVELIN is. Halsey mentions them in her journal when theorizing who the S-IIIs on Noble Team are.
343: WRITE THAT DOWN WRITE THAT DOWN!!!
Real life ONI is watching every video about *Halo* *ONI* and read every comment and say, "They know too much."
Doubtful ONI is too busy for this
ONI reminds me of Cerberus from Mass Effect.
It’s a damn shame we don’t have you working on the lore for Halo. Keep up the awesome work.
ONI then releases the flood as a last ditch effort to quell any resistance with unthinkable consequences...
Fun fact, United States Navy has an intelligence branch called the Office of Naval Intelligence, much like the UNSC has their ONI
That's probably what they evolved from.
So, basically the plot of Captiain America Winter Soldier but Halo? I like it.
I want an ODST horror squad based game fighting the flood soooo bad
this is the most emotional video i ever seen😭i love you installation00
ua-cam.com/video/yrek39abz7Q/v-deo.html
This one may be a little more emotional! :D
Thoughts on Cortana exposing ONI secrets to public, also?
What are you talking about? ONI has always been the enemy.
I`m %90 sure thats a 1984 joke
ONI is the only reason humanity exists but people are so fucking fickle.
@@fuzzydunlop7928 and ONI is the reason the Mona Lisa Incident happened
@@WhyTho525 so what? Who care that a bunch of felons got feed to the flood. ONI created SPARTAN II, without it humanity would have long perished.
@@novemberguy
True that, but I think the Spartan II Program is more of an accomplishment made by Halsey, now she wasn't the best person in the world either, but she is definitley responsible for the birth of heroes like Master Chief, Noble 6, ect.
The scene you described at the end brought me Winter Soldier flashbacks with Cap's speech "The price of freedom is high, it always has been and it's a price that I'm willing to pay. And if I'm the only one the so be it. But I'll willing to bet I'm not."
It brings shivers down my spine to think Chief would expose ONI like this. I think we all know however, that 343 won't do it. It's too great to ever become a reality.
0:46
That was a sexy trill, not gonna lie
Great theory! I think that would be an epic game or even series!
Both videos legit gave me some chills if you breakdown and examine the details
Man, I just want a whole game were all of our allies are the Sword of Sangheilios and we play as the Master Chief.
Now this... this is what I have been waiting for since the beginning.
I really would like this to be the main idea for Halo Infinite. Love the ONI stuff and hunt the truth had me so excited before Halo 5 completely crashed and burned. Do more ONI stuff, 343.
Perhaps they will once the story beat with the Created and the Banished is concluded. Right now ONI and Blue Team are on timultuous terms and are only working together because of the current threat advertised in the trailers of the campaign. Cortana and the Banished are still a very big threat, so ONI is not their main issue right now.
I do really have to thank HiddenXperia for introducing me to this channel, this is exactly the type of content i just devour long detailed explanations and theory crafting with genuine time & effort put into them, so thank you Installation 00 for providing me with a sizeable backlog of information to just absorb, Cheers.
You really had me with this story line, absolutely epic.
Man you are really good with your videos very detailed and honestly imo this is your best video yet.
Bravo my man. I remember when you had less than a thousand subscribers. You've grown up so fast.
NGL, this sent chills to my spine.
Also, that feels something like John Cornor stuff in Terminator Salvation. And I think I'd like if things do turn out that way
Chief going open mic doesn't seem like it would work. He's a man of few words, and powerful actions. He's not captain America vs hydra
I think open mic could work, we could see chief give a badass speech about everything that's happened to humanity. We could also finally get a face revel to push significance.
Man I love these collabs! My two favorite halo community content creators working together!!! Never thought I'd see the day.
Love the vid man. I think you channel is by far most original given the original way u show / give us a glance of halo through another perspective factually through out halo’s lore.
I'm surprised chief isnt actually some kind of messiah, I know he is a legend but being a legend isnt nearly the same as a god given saviour.
If ONI's tyranny is actually the reason why humans still exists
The whole ONI question is quite a moral conundrum - and I'd like that
I think Hiddenxperia put it best; ONI are a "necessary evil".
Most people who do evil convince themselves its necessary.
Some morally questionable things were required for humanities survival but emphasis on some. They still do immoral things for the sake of it with no care in the world or repercussions and not necessarily only when its "necessary"
All I have to say is that this was one *ICONIC* Collaboration. You, hiddenxperia and Eckhartsladder are my favorite sci fi youtubers. Lol
Personally i dont think this plot will happen any time soon but i hope it does happen one day
The Admiral: "The S3 plan does not stand for the Spartan III program. What it does stand for is Selection for Societal Sanity..."
I want this to happen in a game, this is why I love halo, the lore is so expansive and you can be searching for hours and still find something new, great video man.
What a time to finally become a Halo fan. I have never had an Xbox and when the game first came out (The first one) I liked it but I had Tribes and Unreal to fill it's FPS void. Now I have a chance to play all of this how I prefer, on my PC in HD and all in one go.
ICONIC collab, good to see stuff like this happen. Came from Xperia's video, will be staying.
Your content is always on point. New favorite Halo youtuber for sure!
13:37 Nice
Oh and I was sent yr way by hidden Xperia . Another good halo lore tuber that I’ve been following for some time now.
To all those on this thread the stand by the Office of Naval Intelligence will be in touch shortly please make yourself available at the requested time we highly recommend it.
Cheif does what he wants lol I think he's earned it more than once, also in a Mark 3 suit a team of SP4s would not stand a chance.
I think you mean GEN 3. The model of GEN 3 MJOLNIR Chief is using is Mark VI.
I REALLY want to see a halo game about taking down oni once and for all. It would be best implemented as the final game in the franchise as the only threat left in the galaxy would be ourselves as humans.
You guys are awesome I just recently got into halo lore and y’all keep it good
Working with him must of been very... ICONIC
Really unrelated but at 1:18 anyone see the opitical illusion with the oni logo? Like i shake my phone the logo jiggles over the place
you two are like the best halo lore youtubers
You two are my favorite Halo UA-camrs!! This is great
What is it called when Spartans are severely injured and they need to self destruct to avoid info being taken from their suits? Like Omega 13 or something? It pops up on their VISR
?????
Did the Covenant have any super weapons of their own that could destroy planets like how the UNSC had NOVA bombs?
I think the gigantic scarabs like harvester could eventually drill through the planets core which apprently would effectively destroy the world.
@@dr.catherineelizabethhalse1820 Harvesters would need time to do that, whereas NOVA bombs destroyed worlds almost immediately. To my knowledge the Covenant didn't have anything that powerful.
Although Halo Silent Storm sees a commander touching off a supervolcano on Biko, as I remember?
@@avatariroh0543
Why didn't the UNSC use NOVA bombs against Covenant fleets like at the battle of Reach?
I like the idea of Chief embracing the demon and taking the fight to oni
This is an quite incredible video with the lore and theory with Oni. I am getting more and more invested in this lore of Halo and I can say that I am impressed. I enjoyed this video as well as listening to this. You eared yourself an subscriber and I love to listen to more of this. It is very interesting and dark I just might look into the history and play the games of Halo if I can. Oni is very dangerous and it would be quite something to see it in game and narrative form of how it would be viewed and think upon.
Hearing you and Hidden's theory mashes me as for what Halo 5 gave us. You guys are great
As a mandalorian I may not come from the same galaxy as you, humans from earth, but I know what's honorable and what's not. If you should need me and my clan to fight against ONI we will stand by your side.
That would be an interesting twist. And it would showcase why spartans are terrifying opponents for humans given that's who spartans (Spartan 2's and 3's specifically) were originally trained to kill.
More videos with HiddenXperia please! you two are both great and I love theorys for halo 6!
LMAO boy! You are describing Captain America: The Winter Soldier😂😂😂
It’s people like this that need to be writing our halo games
I like your voice and the way you present your videos glad hidden sent me over! Subscribed
Wow... such an amazing theory... such an amazing concept. I wish I'd had found you sooner.
ONI is like the halo version of serberus
Great video keep it up, looking forward for more!
This was when hiddenxperia actually made lore videos, he needs to get back at this.
I've been wondering if ONI would ever get shown as the self-serving spooks for a while now. Glad I'm not the only one that thinks they may be the Halo 'verses next big problem.
Convent + UNSC + Resistance V ONI = one big ass blood bath and one good game
I still maintain that it was a horribly missed opportunity to not give Chief an auditory flashback to Keyes telling Chief to keep Cortana safe from the enemy when Del Rio demands Chief surrender Cortana. I think it would have really helped to explain his actions further, and been a nice nod to CE.
This crossover is ICONIC
13:37... nice.
A Halo game involving fighting against humans would be very intriguing.
A Person reads a myth and becomes a solider
A soldier then becomes a hero
The hero becomes a legend
The legend becomes a myth
And the new myth makes people become soldiers
