The problem was although they had recently only over several thousand years discovered the trick to liberate hydrogen and use it, they hadn't had the time to evolve protection to oxygen. I kinda find it perfect that “America personified” rides what is essentially Godzilla. Mainly because the king of the monsters is often used as an allegory not just for nukes but the USA specifically. Thus making Godzilla literally be America personified.

As amazing as the Ouroboros Proposal is, the thing that always blows my mind is that it’s literally less than half the story. This series was written by DJKaktus, and he’s implicitly confirmed that yes, it is indeed canon with the Kaktusverse, an even bigger and more ambitious story that’s actively in progress across such articles as SCP-4812 and SCP-6666.

In the original way it ends document the first intro to the overseers is really interesting It lists the crimes of all the overseers but for 05-2 it just reads “The Second Overseer: Is complicit.” Which is a super interesting line that I really like
I might be that Since O5-2 helped Calvin to destroy the Foundation, she did good enough to be excused of her crimes, but since she still continued to work at the Foundation, she is still complicit. But since the Summa Modus Operandi was written at the founding of the Chaos Insurgency, it doesn't make sense.
...does that mean the entire Overseer Council made up of 13 different JoJos. Cause if that’s true, then holy crap Dio is about to get fuuuuccccckkkkkkkeeddd
@Bubba Its a tale not even the other O5s would tell. Infact, its one only five people at the Foundation know, yet five others know as well, not of the foundation.
"It's likely somewhere in the 2020s that there will be some major public event, and within 5 years of that, thing will be too much for even the foundation to contain." Did... Did 2020 just confirm the SCP foundation's existence?
Let's see a virus with the ability to change its form, mass stupidity and deaths caused by leaders response to it(potential anomalous property that affects the intelligence of specific individuals in leadership positions making some (usa for example) open there borders and just ignore the sweeping deaths it's caused) Maybe maybe it did prove the foundations existence especially since it feels like 2021 is just a repeating timeloop of 2020
DAAAAAANG, this took me DAYS to read ( including all the links throughout the script ) count your blessings if your listening to this instead of reading it
I personally see “Normalcy” as canon because it makes the most logical sense, but “When Day Breaks” is the most thematically compelling so it’s my favorite XD
At first I thought this story was heroic, but after listening to it a few times I realize Calvin is just a petulant child that is mad an SCP killed his mom. He isn't a hero, he's a terrorist. He's every terrible thing the Foundation says about the Chaos Insurgency.
How? the foundation did a lot of wores things its true tf does it matter if they die bc your saving everybody do you know how many people the scp foundation killed people to save everybody
I mean, right around the time anyone starts rambling about their ideals being too important, the socially acceptable response is to make a handjob gesture, roll your eyes, and ask them if they're feeling cranky and need a nappy-poo. Or, if you have the positional advantage, pants them. Ain't a goddamn man, demon, or god that can make their ideals look good with their pants around their ankles, and the bend of shame to get them up will kill their momentum.
I went a amusement park the first time listened to it and it was thoroughly entertaining while waiting in lines. Ik its weird but it started when I decided to listen to sarkic scps while going to a Halloween themed amusement park. Would recommend it makes you throughly terrified why’ll walking around in the dark
Part 1) : Evil kids Part 2) : The Iron Giant but not so friendly Part 3) : Dr. Manhattan origin story SCP style. Part 4&5) : How to kill the 05 council in 13 easy but brutal steps.
Started off really strong, incredibly well written and well thought out, but as it went on and on it got a little bit more unbelievable a few sentences at a time. The turning point, in my opinion, was the scene where the team is sitting around the campfire and Anthony reveals "the engineer's true nature". From there it started to depreciate. Definitely still worth the 3 hours though.
I decided to watch this instead of listening and I realized that the church of the broken god are just bunch of weebs that just want to build an anime mecha
I used this as inspiration for a D&D campaign. My players call it D&D the Anime. It is absurd and just bonkers on so many levels but it has been so much fun.
@@Zeke1460 it is indeed, but , for me, it left me a kinda sour taste. Not in how it is written, but , in little details, that personally kinda makes it less enjoyable. It is a good alt-canon story, dont get me wrong, but i dont like it that much.
Omg I just listened to this series again and I came up my own interpretation to the last part where Calvin Lucien answers the phone at the end to the Administrator. I feel that Frederick Williams, the original Administrator, was the reason that The Foundation ended up becoming an anomalous idea that took a conscience of its own when " he tugged on the frayed strings of reality.". Listening to what he was saying about how Seigal was the only thing that stood between him and the rest of humanity, it had me thinking about one SCP that really has it out for humanity. So my thought is that The Administrator is The Scarlet King.
You know, I'm just revisiting this, and the Administrator being The Scarlet King is very plausible, actually. People don't see the connection, but it's obvious, if you know the Cactusverse and Scarlet King stories. Glad someone else noticed.
I know it's really dumb, and the ever infamous "Yes, we've gone full anime." line comes from his scene, but I don't care. I absolutely love the utter meme that is Rufus King, or O-5(?). The American is such a stereotype of hypermasculine generals from various media.
He is 05-6 and I agree as well, with his whole scene being a tad bit unrealistic, and hyper, along with the overt stereotypes of the americans peoples associated with him. He is absolutely one of the most coolest 05s I've heard of
Fell asleep with autoplay on and woke up about half hour through this video, even though I was watching like an escape from tarkov video, decided to listen to the whole thing, pretty damn good I must say
This is genuinely one of the best collection of stories I’ve ever heard, the way it ends was so well written it amazes me, it’s such a grand homage to the SCP foundation and it’s done so well Everything is done so well I can’t get over it The little detail of Adam being the man that was friends/lovers with the leader who turned to the foundation out of seemingly no where, turning his back on everything he’d fought for perfectly mirroring Arian is just insane to me It’s hard to believe this story came from the same universe as peanut boy and orange therapy slime but it’s still so amazing that it adds to all of that
The only thing that really disappointed me about the Cycle was how little the Darkbody really contributed to the overall narrative. It sort've felt like a plot device just to kill Blackbird, but there's so much that could've been done with it
Blackbird existed in every reality if I'm not mistaken, so the Darkbody was used by the Black Queen out of necessity, and had to be recontained to prevent what I would presume to result in the annihilation of all other Black Queens from all other realities. Had Calvin's crew prevented her from recontaining him, they could have completed their mission then and there, a dramatic irony of sorts, as they knew not what he was capable of.
This came on thru auto play after I fell asleep and I could barely remember my occasional waking up to it but I had such cool dreams and checked my history to find that my vague memory was correct!! Back for more. Night y’all
I love how the third entity story 100% alludes to the fact that someone always picks up the phone. He killed everyone else in the reality as someone always picks up the phone and becomes the new O5-1. There is not escaping the Administrator.
Double fun fact the red right hand is actually close to a biblical quote from Jesus. Basically meaning the red right hand is the Jesus to the the Administrator who is the god to the red right hand. Depending on your outlook you possibly could kill the foundation by killing the red right hand.
@@gaigetucker6242 "What if the breath that kindled those grim fires, Awaked, should blow them into sevenfold rage, And plunge us in the flames; or from above *Should intermitted vengeance arm again* *His red right hand to plague us?"* The CI motto (and the name of the red right hand) is from a line from Paradise Lost, where Satan and his demons are talking about betraying God (The original betrayal of killing the Administrator), and Belial makes this comment of not angering God again so that they don't have to bear the punishment of betrayal again. In the case of the CI, they fear the full wrath of the Foundation should they attempt to destroy it again. In the case of the Red Right Hand, the MTF is literally the "Red Right Hand" of God, with the power to destroy the CI if it so wished. But the CI, as it is stated at the start of part 4, is a necessary thorn to keep the Foundation in check.

I kinda find it perfect that “America personified” rides what is essentially Godzilla. Mainly because the king of the monsters is often used as an allegory not just for nukes but the USA specifically. Thus making Godzilla literally be America personified.

Omg I just listened to this series again and I came up my own interpretation to the last part where Calvin Lucien answers the phone at the end to the Administrator. It’s hard to believe this story came from the same universe as peanut boy and orange therapy slime but it’s still so amazing that it adds to all of that
The only thing that really disappointed me about the Cycle was how little the Darkbody really contributed to the overall narrative.

The CI motto (and the name of the red right hand) is from a line from Paradise Lost, where Satan and his demons are talking about betraying God (The original betrayal of killing the Administrator), and Belial makes this comment of not angering God again so that they don't have to bear the punishment of betrayal again.
