Man after playing FF13 for the first time in 2011 (my first FF) I instantly fell in love with Hamauzus composition style... Then after FF7R in 2020 I literally etched some tracks of it into my brain. And then in Rebirth! IN THE INTRO! A Hamauzu composition while running around as Zack, man my jaw was DETACHED So much emotion with so little amounts of notes, magic (Also when the short Zack parts appear in game, this theme, just magical)
2:22 reminds me so much of XIII & The Final Boss theme of FFX. The amount of nostalgia of different FF games I've had during this battle due to the music is simply amazing. *chef's kiss 🤌*

Hamauzu was such a perfect choice for this theme, or at least I think it’s hamauzu it definitely sounds like his style.
I'm pretty sure he is, they reused some of the themes from Remake he made before this part. If this is him, then yeah, absolute best choice
