@@WrongTimeWatch You could purchase 2 Super Sea Wolves and two Zeros, maybe more, for the cost of a Submariner. So while it clearly a superior watch, it cost at least 6 times more than a Zodiac IF you can find one...soooo perhaps the better comparison would have been against the other diver released in 1953, the Blancpain 50 Fathoms.

The first Zodiac Sea wolf came out like one month before the first Submariner came out in 1953. I have this green model. In pinpoint lighting like sun light or other pinpoint lighting the forest green really shows but is conservative and not too loud or bright. As I remember this model has a ceramic insert on the bezel but is mat finished instead of polished like the submariner. I like the thin bezel of the sea-wolf allowing for a larger dial and crystal diameter. Since there is only a 30 on the bezel, it can be used as both a count up timer or a count down timer . The fact that the bezel is fully lumed makes it a more practical timer than the submariner. I like how small the crown is so that it doesn't dig into the wrist when doing pushups. The spring loaded bracelet makes it always fit nice and one side of the butterfly clasp can be opened to fit over a wet suit if necessary. A well designed watch.
I like the way the the dial changes color in different lighting. I do also prefer a matte ceramic bezel over the shiny ceramic bezel of the Submariner. I am working on reducing my collection, and once I do, I hope to then add a Zodiac dive watch to the collection.

I have at least one Zelos vs Omega video. I compared the omega style clasp on a Zelos to the Omega clasp.
Rather have the Zodiac I think the Rolex name screems " im a portentous a hole" maybe i know too many Rolex owners.😅
I don't think all Rolex owners are like that. Everyone that I have met is a "watch guy". I suppose you could say the same of BMW owners though, some are "car guys", and others are just buying them because they are expensive.
Zodiac came out first!

@WrongTimeWatch they mailed my super sea wolf back to me saying that they dont have the parts to fix their own watches. they sent it back to me with the bracelet broken! they pulled it apart because they were either too lazy or incompetent to remove the spring bars
