I love how Gary is always positive about the amounts of gold he finds from .10 of a gram to many grams. If you enjoy prospecting it’s not just about how much gold you find it’s about getting outdoors and exploring. Your videos are always a blast! 👍

Thanks Gary. Based on what I’ve learned from your video, even when I don’t get much gold, I’m always panning out lead or iron in every pan, but I know I’m looking where the heavies are settling. This summer has been the best one in many years thanks to this new hobby. Loving it and thanks for sharing your wisdom.

That's some nice gold as usual Gary, this fall is treating you well i'd say! I'm getting the hang of the new tdi and found a nice piece with it this weekend. A buddy of mine was telling me he saw a guy ina white ford detecting up near where we were this weekend, sounded like possibly you were up that way? probably not but the description was very similar! Anyways take care and heavy pans!

Another great video TT! Sure do appreciate you taking the time to educate beginners like me. Few questions for ya... Where does one get a crevice tool like the one you have? For a beginner, is there a metal detector you would recommend? Lastly... Let's say you accumulate an ounce of gold, how does one cash that out? Looking forward to the next video and good luck!

Hey so at about 8:25 to 8:30 just below that large picker you found looks like there is two smaller pieces of gold idk. Not the same as being there in person as I see through the lense but they looked shiny to me I looked a few time at it.

I was out with my group (keene engineering group) and used a gold bug for the first time I found 2 pieces of wire a pull tab and a staple first time digging in like a clay type of dirt (randsburg Ca) desert everybody was finding small amounts of gold going back soon to play in the dirt maybe I'm not gonna have new guy syndrome and no gold oh ya hoards of hot rocks

So glad I ran into this video. I bought a Bounty Hunter Tracker IV about a year ago. Picked up a 4” coil so it would pick up gold better. I bought a small bag of pay dirt to check it too, and nothing with the standard coil. It would hit on something with the 4”. I had to laugh when you said, basically, to look for targets, not necessarily gold, and that exactly what I was thinking. It should definitely pick up split shot, and gold and lead are similar if not same in weight, right? So I’ll just look for lead and pan for gold! And save up for a better detector down the road. Thank you. Love the videos. Been subscribed for awhile. Maybe I’ll run into you guys on the Trinity at some point. Looking to buy property up there soon. 😁👍
