That just makes the zombified the saddest end someone can meet in the Zone. Catching a bullet, mauled by boars, slashed by a bloodsucker.... All of those ways to die, at least you die. They are cursed to wander the zone as a husk of their former self.
Yeah, there are even some zombies phrases that's about the zombie yearning for his daughter. That is pretty sad.
Interesting. When engaged in combat they seem to focus. Like their mind clears up a little. It points to the zombification process being more then just random, more like a targeted lobotomization.
Nice catch.
Definitely that way for the monolith too
I'm not sure how targeted it can be for stalkers zombified by psi storms. Perhaps it's like relaxing zombies remeniss about their homes, fighting brings up memories of combat cries. They likely still have more going on in there than it seems
Well, yes, because their brains along with nervous system has been reduced to mush.

@Mialisus dayum
@shadik1337DAMN
When they get heavily injured, it's like the person inside them is a player telling their character to get up.
The monolith.....
It’s a cut out phrases , this should say not injured zombies to injured ones
"Sometimes... death is better."
And sometimes, the zone isn't even kind enough to grant you that much
0:15 "We will fucking bury you!"
Sometimes zombies say something like it:
(when you dont disturb them and just listen)
"Daughter, my little daughter. You grew up so fast! Papa (dad) will return soon"
"Zone, Zone... I will get out anyway, anyway"
"Just a little more and... I can go how...
I just need... to find a way..."
"Give me a ration - Im hungry. I wanna eat, please give one!"
"It shines so brightly in the night... Beautiful! Just like sun, but cold"
"Spring is coming, soon it will be warm... just like at home"
AND THAT hits deep
P.S. thats not a clear translation, cuz some sentences have only one word and I need more than that to translate it to english. But I definetely saved the original meaning of these phrases.
UPD shit i didnt know that there was already a video about it, sry
Correction: i think they say something like „the zone, bitch!” (зона, сука!) and the rest of the sentcnce
Zombification are both terrifying and saddest fate that could happen to any stalker in the zone, forced to wander the zone for eternity while having little to nothing left of their former selves. Doesn't matter if they were Mercs, Duty, Freedom, Bandits, or unfortunate loners. Putting them down is the best thing we can do.
Also military groups who also ventures to the brain scorcher and become a zombies u kinda missed another faction group when u played stalker if u play stalker and go yantar or u find a group zombies u can actually see that there is military dudes aswell who have become zombified by the psy emission or the brain scorcher
How do they hunt for food?
@@MGrey-qb5xz not sure, there are hints that they wander around with no concern for food, example for this are the "dried up" zombified ecologist stalkers that are pretty much dead.
0:54 "Давай! Давай!" Hits me right in the feels like a semi-truck, every time. Like he knows what's ahead, he knows that he'll die, but he's happy with the concept of dying as it'll remove him from his misery. Poor lad...
0:56 "Вставай! Вставай!" And again. He knows that he's badly wounded, and what does that mean, but the self-preservation instinct is stronger than all the brainwashing he has received, and he urges himself to don't give up, stay in the fight.
The fact that the last thing ther refer is mother making me cry uncontorlably. Even if they are brainwashed, the first thing that will make everyone safe is mother.
Some of the i think loner death voice lines cry for their dad... Makes it even more sad because it means he probably didn't meet his mother..

Knowing that zombies can actually speak coherent phrases give whole new light on them.
What is worst of all is, they still feel pain. They first one says so while dying 'so painful', they wouldn't even bother to shut down pain nerves when making zombies.
Zombies are not made in a lab, they are made by controllers or emissions

@@PlasticShitlord and yeah, at 00:32 I heard not "Idem vpered", but "eto d'ira"( this is a hole) before this video
As a guy, who knows russian, this is true.
This might be the best portrayal of mercy killing in video game history.
the game describes them as being more mindless and dumb, as you'd expect from a zombie. this translation however disproves it, showing us they're mostly humanoid in behavior and speech. they don't seem to realize what has happened to them, and still continue on as if still normal. killing them is a mercy. the worst thing you can do is leave them alone.
Them talking of "getting up" and "come on" makes me really sad. They seem to be somewhat aware of what's going on, but of course the mind control makes them delirious and trigger happy.
That is why Duty is right.
Good point, but maybe it’s because duty is fighting the zone so relentlessly is why the zone feels the need to create its emissions, creating more zombies in which to defend itself. Smoke a joint man, Freedom is the life
Duty is right. But for many more reasons than Zombies.
If you want to pin blame on anybody, it is Clear Sky & Loners who are responsible for The Zone being as volatile as it currently is, and without the C-Consciousness to control it, it doesn't matter if there is, or isn't a Duty to fight it. It will continue to grow, produce more mutants, zombies and anomalies regardless.
The lack of any such force to contain The Zone justifies Duty's crusade alone. There is only so much they can do, but it is a lot more than Freedom is willing to do for anyone.
The most you can really hold against Freedom is their Cease-Fire with the Bandits. Because I suppose keeping rampant murderers and criminals in-check is just too much effort for Freedom to care about. Although, I personally believe it is because Duty carries out frequent Raids against Bandits, for picking on Loners. The more Bandits they have to deal with ensures Duty is not solely focused on them.
Imagine letting organized serial killers run around free when you sure as shit have the capabilities to make their lives Hell, because you simply want to preoccupy people you don't like?
While Freedom is killing the remainder of their brain cells with weed, Duty is probably busy culling Mutants, Bandits, Zombies, Monolith, or otherwise putting their asses on the line for people who will never recognize, nor appreciate their selflessness.
Put the joint down.
Pick up your gun.
Make yourself useful.
Or get out of the goddamn way.
@@Broken_Savior Freedom only has a ceasefire with the bandits by technical means. By which I mean it’s only a simple value easily changed in the game files. In reality, freedom hates the bandits just as much as anyone else. It shows by how they talk about them negatively and fire upon them on sight. Also idk if that loudspeaker at Rostok has completely destroyed your brain, but the only thing keeping the monolith at bay is freedom’s defense at the barrier. Duty is too busy having trouble fighting dogs.
It would be nice if duty actually did what they claim to do. But there isn’t enough loudspeakers in the world that will protect them from their blatant and obvious lies. They are a corrupt organization, claiming to protect the world from the zone, yet they collect and sell artifacts just like the other factions, as that’s the only way to keep them afloat as a faction. But I thought their goal was the destroy the zone? They’re a bunch of hypocrites. That’s not to say that freedom doesn’t have its own corruption, but at the very least freedom doesn’t have a traitorous asshole like Morgan working for them. Or whoever those duty soldiers are that ignored the ceasefire between freedom and duty and planned to raid the freedom base just because “they don’t like them”.
Duty is just a group of abandoned soldiers left in the zone, so scared of what they saw that they vowed to destroy it forever. The only problem is, they aren’t qualified to destroy the zone. They only look like fools getting themselves killed for no noticeable progress whatsoever. The zone is a gift. After all, we wouldn’t be playing stalker at all if Duty’s plan actually worked (it never would).
Btw it’s all fun and jokes as I’m sure you’re doing the same thing lol. I love all the factions of the zone.
@@sleepshouter5017 There is a lot that can be changed in the game files. A wide litany of things. You can even remove files entirely, or replace them with your own. So, what?
This goes for nearly any game. It means nothing.
Do you often form alliances with people you hate? They still shoot at each other, of course, because like any Anarchist Utopia, it doesn't work in practice, and tends to go to shit in record time. It still does not change the fact that they allow Bandits to thrive, as long as they don't cross each other. Which is not at all dissimilar to how the Military and Loners get along in SoC. In other words, it is not a first for The Zone.
Naturally, they cannot trust each other, because Freedom is extremely noncommittal, and Bandits will skin you for a handful of rubles, be you friend, or foe. But the point isn't that they trust each other. The point, from Freedom's perspective, is threefold.
More Bandits means less pressure on themselves. As Duty actually give a shit about common people in the Zone before themselves, and will go out of their way to cull them. Given the fact that Freedom is getting fucked in a two-front war, this is immensely important.
Secondly, Freedom need a steady supply of drugs. Withdrawal is a bitch. Supporting their high takes priority over anything else. Naturally the smugglers within Bandit Crews are a fantastic source for this kind of thing. Yes. Freedom is willing to let Bandits diddle and murder your average Stalker, just to score some dope.
Finally, Freedom don't like rules. You could say there's more to it, but unless you're referring to smack, you'd be lying. Bandits don't like rules. Ideologically, they have no reason to fight. In fact on that basis alone they both desire the same thing.
As for The Barrier, Freedom deserve no credit for this. That is the simple result of Freedom defending their holdings. Same as any other Faction. Loners would do it were they in the same place, and Duty would do it far better. I can only assume Freedom don't want to give up the spot. It is no favor to anyone else that they remain.
There are several types of Dogs in the Zone. Nearly all of those breeds being far more lethal than any real life counterpart, and already deadly enough to threaten seasoned Stalkers. Even the weakest of them are major issue if allowed to form a pack.
If this is one of the things keeping Duty busy, don't forget their uncompromising hostilities toward Bandits and the scarce, but far more threatening Mercenaries. That is five more things they do for the benefit of others.
Five more things under their belt than what Freedom bother to do. Because they are disgustingly selfish. And do not desire Freedom for anyone, save themselves.
If those dogs are troublesome, they must really need to be slain, given that Duty are handling a several front war without much issue.
Duty have had a long, good history with the Ecologists, how does this make them hypocritical in any sense? Knowing is half the battle. They also trade with the Ukrainian Military for a steady supply-chain. Where do you think they get their shit? Understanding Anomalies and other mysteries of the Zone can only make their efforts more efficient. Thus it is within their every interest to work with the Ecologists. Because Duty actually have the humility and wisdom to listen to people who are actually smarter than themselves. As for the Military, Duty won't survive with steady supply lines.
I shouldn't have to explain this.
By the way, where do you think Freedom get their stuff? Out of curiosity.
As for the traitor in their ranks, every form of organization absolutely will suffer from a issues such as this. It says nothing about Duty at large. Not to mention that Freedom is waging an entire war on the basis "waaaaa, let us fornicate with mutants, mean f-fascists!!"
I will remind you that Freedom are hostile, or at least uncooperative with the Ecologists, meaning that Duty have contributed more in the long run toward the ultimate understanding of the Zone than Freedom ever has, or will. Because they have no higher philosophy other than basking in the sun, keeping their weed reserves full, and ensuring that they are absolutely useless to everyone and everything. They can't even go into the closest thing Humanity has been to Hell On Earth, and succeed in creating their Anarchist Utopia, thanks to both their noncommittal attitude, and mad bastards in black kicking their asses at every turn.
But now I've strayed from the ultimate point, that being that the Zone remains unchecked and without a dedicated restraint being forced upon The Zone, the number of Mutants, Zombie's and everything in between will continue to thrive. That is a problem for everyone. A problem nobody is interested in solving, except for Duty. It doesn't matter if they can destroy the Zone, or not. That is silly. But can they protect the world from the unrestrained, untamed, wild and expanding Zone? Absolutely.
Well, they cannot stop it from growing, but they can slaughter the foes it produces.
You know who else has the munitions, manpower and capability to do something as selfless for others?
Freedom. Who choose to do fuck all unless it directly scratches their self-righteous itch. Or their craving for another hit.
For this they will never be worthy of respect. Looking at it from a Loner's perspective, only one side here is interested in saving me from a ass-fucking. It's not Freedom.

It seems that zombified stalkers are unable to eat and drink by their own anymore. Their brains are too damaged for that, so they are slowly rotting away, while aimlessly wander around. Couple years ago i had very bad tonsillitis, and after my tonsils ware cut out and off of my tongue, that last one swolle to the point, where i almost couldn't eat and i could barely speak. And i'd sounded just like those zombies...
Its not because of that, if they can operate guns then eaiting is a child's play, even for them, their arms still have fine motor skills, the way they talk is because of their brain has been scorched, they still remember tid bits of their former life but thats it, nothing more, their animal instinct will always get the better of them

You’re a rookie, who has never seen more than boars, fleshes and blind dogs.
Then, your first zombie. You think it’s another stalker, and get too close. If you’re lucky (and sharp enough), you could get the jump on them before being shot.
Confusion, then anger sets in. You take shots on them, maiming them. As further shock and horror set in, you remember what the more seasoned stalkers talked of around late-night campfires.
Knowing this fate worse than death, you give to coup de grace: one quick round to the head.
Murmuring, the poor brain wiped soul says : “BLEEDING…. BLEEDING… MO…THER….”
Having lost the last morsel of hope you thought gone and destroyed, you ask yourself: “What hell am I now in? Where the fuck am I?”
I'm glad these videos exist because it paints zombies in a new light for people who don't understand Russian. It's interesting they didn't take the normal "zombie" approach. They still retain a small amount of their memories, sadly think they can fight their fate, but are still husks of themselves only driven to kill. Even when they are put on the ground they are begging with their bodies to keep going. I'm not sure what exactly motivates them to that point, their memories, or the urge to kill, but it's a sad fate nonetheless.
Stalker zombies exist in a delirious state, they are so brain damaged and confused that they cannot comprehend what is going on exactly, but can feel pain, agitation and etc. To them it all feels like a strange dream or a nightmare, a confused jumbled of shapes and sounds in which they are lost. Thats why they fire like this - barely aiming, they are not fully “aware” at all.

Zombies in their "traditional" portrayal tend to have undergone (often accelerated) necrosis so as to render them unrecognizable and thus readily dehumanized. These guys, OTOH, not only do not have outwardly-visible degenerations but do have enough of them former selves left to remind anyone that, yes, they were formerly fellow Human beings with their own loved ones and aspirations for the future.
The dramatic tragedy becomes all the more readily-perceived when all that is lost is in the open to be seen.
One fact: the phrases "Get up, get up" were in early versions of the game, in the latest version... They just keep quiet.

hmmm wonder what music you used
its wasteland 1
Even when i didnt know what ther were saying i felt so fuckin bad for them, now when i found out what are they saying i NEVER pass by them - its allways quick headshots and kill em all, let the mother zone hug them to sleep, they suffered enough :(
0:15 Sounds like "Погнали!" ("Let's go!"). Or maybe it's just misheard.
Aim for the head...but it's not for your safety anymore.
✨Slaaaaaaay✨💅
this... actually made me sad.
Could you do One for Monolith Combat Quotes?
1:29 is Hurraaaa....hur....aaaa
Было бы интересно увидеть эти реплики на русском. А то есть огромные сомнения в переводе некоторых неразборчивых бормотаний.
Ну вот как "Нашатыря!" превратилось в "Go ahead!" ???
What's the music used in the video? Please give link
