Today, I purchased a 6-inch lift kit by Pro Comp. It has a life time warranty. The salesman said he and his co-workers also have Pro Comp lift kits on their trucks and they have had no problems.
I have 6" Pro Comp's and really don't have any problems. 04 Chevy Silverado. Rough Country on 2011Chevy Silverado is only good if you install drop torsion cross member, this way you have more travel. Any and all kits should be installed with drop torsion cross member.
I've got a 6" BDS with Fox 2.0 and remote reservoir front coil overs up front. 2012 F150 FX4 Supercrew Ecoboost. Could not be happier. Great ride. Sick looks.
I bought a Pro comp stage 2 6" lift kit for my 2004 F 150 in 05 and 2020 some squirrels ate some wires on my truck so i called a roll back and he broke one of the coilovers inbetween my house and the shop. I called pro comp and my kit had been discontinued but they sent me all new coilovers and rear shocks for my truck no questions asked. Pro Comp For Life.
I have had the 6 inch Pro Comp, Rough Country, and BDS on Ford F150,Ram 2500, Ram 1500 respectively. The BDS is hands down the best out of those in my personal opinion. I also had a Bilstein lift on my Ram Power Wagon and it was pretty good but I am not counting that.

Yea I have a 09 Silverado z71 with a 7.5 inch lift and it does the job from what I’ve put it through I mean they wouldn’t sell these kits if they were always breaking but like I said it does the job and I only paid $950
My husband’s got the 6” RC lift on his 2018 F-150 and I just bought the 6” BDS lift for my 2020 F-150 from your website. The ride quality’s not bad at all for the RC lift. Can’t wait to feel the difference between RC and BDS, though.

I got a RC 3.5 installed on my 3rd gen Dodge and I love it. I have had no problems whatsoever. Plan to upgrade with shocks and loaded struts. About to install a 5 inch RC on my 2007 GMC Sierra next.
Still think my fab tech is one of the smoothest rides lift wise I’ve rode in had if for around 5 years never had a problem other than was doing something stupid and broke a back shock (totally my fault) called them told them what happened got a new one shipped free of charge
I know I was considering getting a BDS kit to work with my ICON leveling kit, but I probably would have stuck with a 4 inch kit. If I keep my truck long term then I still might decide to go that route, but since I've been doing more baby hauling duty lately I decided now wasn't the time to make it harder to get into the truck.

BDS!!!! I put the 7in on my 13 tundra. Have almost 100k miles and no issues. I love this thing. They have a lifetime warranty and are crazy heavy duty...
I had a 6" rough country lift on my 4th Gen ram, although I never had any mechanical issues with the kit in the 6 years I ran it after about the first year and a half the entire kit was completely rusted out and looked like COMPLETE shit on my nice ass clean truck.. After about 4 years the rust was so bad on the crossmember there was literally little chunks of metal that would just fall off in my driveway under the truck lol... The shocks were completely covered In rust to the point you couldn't even see the rough country name on them anymore.... Again, the kit lasted and held up the 6 years drove the truck and the stance was amazing, I got compliments on my truck all the time, but the shatty quality of the finish on the RC lift components is what will keep me from ever going with RC again! This time around on my new 5th Gen I will 10000% be spending the extra money on the BDS kit... Noway I'm saving a few bucks to drive a nice new truck around with terribly rusted out components exposed to ruin the look of the truck!
Everyone bashes RC yeah its cheap but you cant bash something you personally haven't tried. Ive got a 3.5in RC lift and I bent the upper a-arms before anything on the RC kit. My next kit will either be the RC 5in bracket kit or a fabtech 6in
I have a 4in BDS on my GMC Sierra truck with the fox shocks in the rear. The ride quality is amazing. I rides better than my Grandmothers Lexus. Never driven/ been in a truck with a Mcgaughys though. Also the warranty on the BDS kits is amazing.

Because Pro Comp isn't even on RC's quality level yet. They can't even successfully package their products let alone make a kit that isn't missing something or fabricated incorrectly. I work for a dealer and all we are insured to install is Procomp lifts and they are absolute garbage. We probably install about a dozen 6" kits on Tundras and about 10 6" kits on Tacomas a month. Once our insurance policy is up we will be switching for a different brand because quite litteraly EVERY single kit we have done over the past few years (hundreds at the point) has had something missing, fabricated incorrectly, misboxed damaged etc.
Ordered a 6" zone with fox shocks for my 14' f350 with 37s a while ago. So seems I went with a good choice for just casual work l, trail ridrs and just casual show
What about brands like Pro-Comp, FabTech, Super Lift, Tough Country, Rancho and last but not least RCD, I have a 6" RCD on my 2003 4 door short bed Chevy 2500HD 4wd with a Durumax diesel and I'm running 37" tires on it, it looks good and rides good and even with my super aggressive 37"x12.50"R20 tires it tracks super straight, I've had stock trucks that don't track as straight, not to mention I've only had my truck for 3 years and it came with the 6" RCD lift on it so who knows how long it's been on there and still it's in great working order! Of course I know you guys can't list all brands of lifts but besides Rough Country it seems like you stuck to expensive brands so of course they are good but whats a good affordable brand for us regular Joe's who can't afford to spend a fortune you know.
I plan on going 6" Rough Country.. I am on an entry level considering i havnt had a lifted truck but i have had a custom lifted Jeep. I need affordability and good ride quality and from what ive seen RC is the best option. I dont off road like i used to and just want the look and ride quality. I live in flood zones and want a higher ride and good look which is why im going for RC.
You all have helped me from making a expensive mistake yes the last company of course makes quality kits and you brought the question to my mind and I plan to hit the trails and dirt so now my build is still the same just changing up my parts list choices to even out a smoother ride its a truck not only for work but hiding and chasing dirt in the woods.
I have a fabtech 6" with uniball upper control arms. It's on my 2014 Silverado 2500hd duramax. I'm replacing all joints in the front end this coming weekend. I don't know if they are great but my Chevy road great even with grapplers. My uniballs are in the worse shape. They are expensive to buy the replacement bearings. Order the kit without the new nut and save a hundred dollars a side. Part 14 instead of 15 last 2 digits.
I have the 3 1/2 rought country lift on my silverado right now on 33's. Did the upgraded upper control arms and front diff drop as well as the new struts. Debating on upgrading to a 6 1/2.
I had a 7 inch mcgaughs on a 08 tahoe and the ride quality wasn’t bad but wasn’t good either I did have there front struts and belstein rear shocks as well never had any problems with the kit but for the money the ride of a bds would have been worth it
I got a rough country lift last year and my 2011 Chevy 2500 rides on the front bump stops now witch makes it very rough on the smallest bumps. I really need to figure out a way to fix this.
6 inch lift from rough country is good. It just needs to come with new front wheel hubs and bearings because youll have to most of the time get new ones for the new knuckles that come with kit unless you have new non corroded hub and bearings. I recommend ordering some new ones because if you hub and bearings are corroded you will not be able to reuse an old hub. I think rough country should offer an option for new hub and bearings like they do with the different struts and shocks.
I also have an RCD 6" on my 2003 Chevy 2500HD 4wd with a Durumax diesel and am running 37" tires with it and it's an awesome lift, i looks great, rides great and the steering geometry seems to be really high end since I can let go of the wheel and even with my very big very aggressive tires my truck still drive straight as arrow, I've had stock trucks that don't track that straight.
Rough country is a great starter kit but the more you learn about ride quality and reliability you will find out that spending the extra money on a quality lift
Just watched your video about about what is the best lift kit, I've just installed a 3.5 super lift on my 2015 Sierra 1500 and as far as the ease of installation and the price I really could not complain about it. I've seen rough country kits and the components seem of less quality than other companies,
Why do some lift kits come with spacers on the front axles is this a benefit factor to widen your wheel track is there some kits that don’t need them spacer
I put a RC my 18 Denali but it's not level, any clues? Installer error? It's been a while since I've had it and I'm about to have it taken care of but any pointers would be appreciated so I don't get taken for a ride.
I would just do a rough country a lift is a lift it doesn't matter what it is. It's like comparing truck's everyone has a different taste in truck's. Some like Ford,Chevy,Dodge exc...
So what if I just bought a rough country lift with bds shocks and upgraded leaf springs as well as upgraded control arms... Will that work or will they just likely not work due to different sized bolts and such?

That literally didn't answer the original question, you just said the same thing as in your intro which was and I quote "depends in your purpose for the truck". If I was to be more specific and ask which lift is best for a $1200 budget on a daily driven 08 Silverado, which would you choose?
Question I’m 17 and have a 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 and I plan to daily drive it but I wanna put some mean tires that stick out and make the truck look badass but I don’t want to spend 3000 on a lift I also want a lift 5 or higher but if I plan to daily drive it want something I could take an hour or 2 away and not complain about the ride quality but since I’m also 17 I don’t have money laying around so something under 2500 for sure any help?
Well I have seen a lot or at least all yall videos. But I have one question. That really has not been answered yet by yall yet. Hi, I am from Qatar. I bought Rough Country 6 inch lift kit for my Tundra 2012. I also seperately bought fox2.0 shocks as my lift kit is without front shocks and coils. I spent big money on both kit and fox shocks but now one mechanic here told me that its not advisable to install fox front shocks with the 6 inch kit. Is this true? He said its better to use OEM front shocks. I bought fox2.0 as I thought to improve the ride in desert drive(occasionally where i go). Whats your take on this? Thanks in advance.
Custom Offsets thanks for the swift response. Just to add bit of info, the guy said since 6 inch kit will give lift which has been worked out properly by RC. But you add fox 2.0 shocks to it, you will have 6 + 2 inches lift which might disturb the CV geometry etc. I told him fox2.0 shocks give 0-2 inch lift so keep shocks lift to 0 and let lift come from the kit to achieve correct CV geometry. I have anyway asked him to install both lift kit and fox shocks. I will let you know how it goes. Cheers 😊

Best way is to ask locals where they recommend!
I have the 3 1/2 rought country lift on my silverado right now on 33's. Did the upgraded upper control arms and front diff drop as well as the new struts. Debating on upgrading to a 6 1/2.
best way to lift older trucks. i have a 2001 f150 wanting to put a 5” lift
Got a 95 f150 wanted to put a 6in lift
If u wanna ball out than get an Any level lift or a Stryker Offroad lift
I had a 7 inch mcgaughs on a 08 tahoe and the ride quality wasn’t bad but wasn’t good either I did have there front struts and belstein rear shocks as well never had any problems with the kit but for the money the ride of a bds would have been worth it
I'm looking at the Zone 4 inch and Zone 6 inch. They're the same price. Sell me on which one I should go with?
I got a rough country lift last year and my 2011 Chevy 2500 rides on the front bump stops now witch makes it very rough on the smallest bumps. I really need to figure out a way to fix this.
Take it into a shop to be looked at man!
You need to cut the bump stops
Which lift kit would you recommend for a 2002 jeep wrangler sport
6 inch lift from rough country is good. It just needs to come with new front wheel hubs and bearings because youll have to most of the time get new ones for the new knuckles that come with kit unless you have new non corroded hub and bearings. I recommend ordering some new ones because if you hub and bearings are corroded you will not be able to reuse an old hub. I think rough country should offer an option for new hub and bearings like they do with the different struts and shocks.
Don't really know about lifts but I have a RCD 6" (racing car dinamics)
I also have an RCD 6" on my 2003 Chevy 2500HD 4wd with a Durumax diesel and am running 37" tires with it and it's an awesome lift, i looks great, rides great and the steering geometry seems to be really high end since I can let go of the wheel and even with my very big very aggressive tires my truck still drive straight as arrow, I've had stock trucks that don't track that straight.
I know I’m late but Can we get more info on the lead installers Silverado set up (Banker) I think his name was. Love the look at 1:40 Thanks!
Rough country is a great starter kit but the more you learn about ride quality and reliability you will find out that spending the extra money on a quality lift
You did a great job explaining that !!!!! The main thing is. It all depends you what you want and how much you want to pay
So what about pro comp
Is there a standard mcgaughys kit for the 99-06 silverados, all I see is the premium on the website
Shoot us an email to info@custom offsets.com to see if that is something we can get you!
I always had issues with lifted trucks. Not sure why but I had ball joint and ride issues.
I love Zone 6 inch got mine powder coated lime green 😁
Just watched your video about about what is the best lift kit, I've just installed a 3.5 super lift on my 2015 Sierra 1500 and as far as the ease of installation and the price I really could not complain about it. I've seen rough country kits and the components seem of less quality than other companies,
What inch wheels are u riding on ? I have a 15 Chevy high country 1500 but I want 30 inch rims what kit inch should I get
Why do some lift kits come with spacers on the front axles is this a benefit factor to widen your wheel track is there some kits that don’t need them spacer
All kits come with everything needed to install the lift and work like Factory. Some need the spacers due to the track width widening.
Are there any lifts where I don’t have to cut any part of the truck out like I’ve been seeing on videos?? I’ve got an 06 Sierra 1500
So what if I just bought a rough country lift with bds shocks and upgraded leaf springs as well as upgraded control arms... Will that work or will they just likely not work due to different sized bolts and such?
Send an email to info@customoffsets.com and they should be able to help you out with everything youll need to know!
Best leveling Kit whether sold by custom offsets or not
Hello i have a question about suspension lift kits and which one would be best for my truck? I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 V8. These are the ones im currently looking at , Max Trac 7-Inch Front / 4-Inch Rear MaxPro Elite Suspension Lift Kit with Fox Shocks (02-08 2WD 5.7L RAM 1500, Excluding Mega Cab) ,Debating against a Rough Country 6-Inch Suspension Lift Kit
(02-05 2WD RAM 1500)
Looking to lift more than 6 inches
With great suspension
My 93 suburban that is now a shortbed truck needs a 6 inch lift and I need to choose between Superlift or zone....anyone advice?...and I want it to ride like a truck, not a Cadillac.
Take a look into our Superlift suspension kits! We are currently having a 10% off all Superlift kits as well for a limited time!

That literally didn't answer the original question, you just said the same thing as in your intro which was and I quote "depends in your purpose for the truck". If I was to be more specific and ask which lift is best for a $1200 budget on a daily driven 08 Silverado, which would you choose?
I don't know much about it but I get a BDS lift kit 6 inch on my 2014 ram 37s 24×14
That’s a good choice! 🤘🏼
@@CustomOffsetsTV Thank you it was a gamble I did not know what I was buying it just looked cool lol
What 6 inch lift can go on a 2005 Ford Expedition 4wd
Question I’m 17 and have a 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 and I plan to daily drive it but I wanna put some mean tires that stick out and make the truck look badass but I don’t want to spend 3000 on a lift I also want a lift 5 or higher but if I plan to daily drive it want something I could take an hour or 2 away and not complain about the ride quality but since I’m also 17 I don’t have money laying around so something under 2500 for sure any help?
Well I have seen a lot or at least all yall videos. But I have one question. That really has not been answered yet by yall yet. An no I am not a old guy but what 6 in life can I get but keep my tires tucked in. As it would from Factory with I know we touched on it when he was talking about Rough Country history. I got a cat eye z71 four-wheel drive extended cab
Anybody got an opinion on the skyjacker lift for Ford F-150??
Why don't you carry Pro Comp lift kits and rims and tires??
I local shop nearby was trying to sell me a Superlift kit with King shocks because the BDS lifts are on back order. Are these lifts any good? I've only heard of these on older trucks not 2019 F350s but I did read that they are making them for newer trucks now. Are they a copy cat of another brand?
What are your thoughts on Rancho 6" lift kit for 2108 Silverado 1500? A local lift shop highly recommends Rancho over BDS.
Its mostly a personal preference and depends on what you will be doing with the truck. Both good kits though!
i need help on buying a lift for my 1999 chevy silverado 2500 4wd but i can’t find one
How much more is the same day rough country or zone lift kit but for a 1 ton dually?

Fuller I’m looking to lift my 2018 Nissan Titan, I don’t think I want to go a full 6” probably just 3 to 4 inch, have you lifted any titans? And which brands did you use?
Checkout our gallery on our website and see what other people have used to lift their Titans!

We have not personally installed a lift kit on any Nissan Titans as far as we can recall unfortunately.
How about a Tough Country lift kit?
what size rims and tires are on that silverado at 4:10 with the ZONE kit ? thank you
I was orcharged to have my lit kit taken out and now my truck doesnt run right
Hi, I am from Qatar.
We would recommend fox over stock shocks for your situation! 🙏🏻
Cheers 😊
@@CustomOffsetsTV i intalled kings 2.5 all around. Its only a 2.5 inch lift up front. What do i need to buy for me to convert my truck into a 6 inch lift? Do i need to sell my current kings and go with a company like procomp?
Fabtech? Bulletproof? Skyjacker? Theres so many options out there. The bulletproof kits are really expensive but are supposed to be the best lift kit you can buy.
We are currently not offering Bulletproof or Skyjacker kits, but we have heard good things about them!
