Yeah i used to struggle with this too! Just try focusing as much as possible on the contact, look at if he is hitting under the ball, or going up on the ball
I got caught out on the first dead spin. How can it be dead when it bounced more than twice? Surely you need backspin to keep the ball on the table that long?
Thanks for asking! Actually you can do any type of serve short, even topspin, you just have to contact it softly so that it doesn’t have a lot of momentum. Backspin of course makes it easier since the spin is helping you, but you can do it with any spin
Failed most of the quiz questions. The coach needs to do a more detailed video with slow mo’s and close ups. If I was facing those serves I would have no idea what to do except for the blatantly obvious underspin serve
Hahaha. We can do a more detailed video if you want, but as for the quiz, if we put it in slow motion and zoom it in, it will not be like a normal match. We want the quiz to be just a like a normal match, so that you see how good you can return serves.
@@Technical.Table.Tennis cant identify these serves at all until it’s too late. By that time the point is over. Have no idea where the guy is making contact . Is it 5 o clock or 12 o clock or 3 o clock or what. We need to see the contact points on the racket and the ball and the full motion is slow motion to understand where the ball is really being hit and how to identify that at the moment of contact. Otherwise there’s no use
@ slow mo returns on serve and how to read serves before it’s too late , meaning at the point of contact or release how can you tell what kind of serve is it and how to deal with it ? Also how to consistently hit under spins on your forehand or back band side . An example would be hitting the 3rd ball as the second ball may be an underspin return of serve
Actually you do see it, but it is so subtle you can’t see it. There is no way they serve without after motion, cause the opponent will just read the serve every time and crush it
How did you do the quiz at the end of the video? Make sure you let us know how you did, and give us some video ideas you want us to cover next!

@@Technical.Table.Tennis after two three consecutive chops, I miss the table. So something on chops. How to tackle chops after 2 chops
Nice
Thanks
I struggled at the quiz! I got the side under spin and side top spin mixed up most of the time!
Yeah i used to struggle with this too! Just try focusing as much as possible on the contact, look at if he is hitting under the ball, or going up on the ball
Will you start uploading again?
We will! We will try to upload at least once a week, and sometimes twice a week

I watched this video and couldn't return any serves from Serena Williams. I want a refund.
We're sorry to hear about your experience. We plan to release another FREE lesson to make up for it 🤣

There are too many!!!!

I hate fake motion, I think it is a lame way to play. That is why we do not see any fake motions for serving in pro level.
