This is the best video I’ve seen in UA-cam to understand how to return serves in table tennis for beginners and more. I’ve looking for this 2 years. Thank you !!!. And please, if you could record a longer quiz to read serves and how to return them it would be a huge help 🙏 .
All these returns are okay for amateur and beginner club players but as soon as you get into decent club player level they will destroy you on the 3rd ball attack
Sometimes I know I can return my opponents strong drives and loops but they have a deceptive serve. I know if I can get their serve on the table I can win… eventually I need to dominate the serve returns but for now I just want get it on the table… this certainly helped but I believe it will be a combination of increased practice and experience to progress.
Good work but also remember that sound is also an indicator of type of spin. Soft vs loud impact sounds when serving the ball. On sidespin, if I hit the right side of the ball (your left) you guide the ball back by hitting the opposite side (your right).
Thanks for this very useful video..❤ One suggestion though, if you can, pls recreate the video by showing the service from the far end table and showing the return of serve from the near end of the table. It will be far more easy to follow.
This helped alot! Thank you for making this video. But i need some help, im a beginner and im currently learning how to give the ball as much spin as possible but anything i try doesnt work. Do u have any videos about that?
Glad it helped! In my opinion, a good place to start will be to master the brushing motion with the backspin serve: ua-cam.com/video/5chB1d3gdLw/v-deo.html . You can also watch my other videos for more understanding regarding spin and all. Also, make sure your bat rubber can grip and spin the ball (no grip, no spin). Hope this helps!
@@pingpong9668 Thank you for help! My rubbers have very good grip but i for some reason cant brush the ball. I always hit it too hard and it goes into the net or it doesnt have any spin
@@pingpong9668 i have a really hard time reading the difference between side-top, sidespin, and side-under with the 3 strokes of pendulum, reverse pendulum, and banckhand.
One more advice : if you can't read the spin immediately don't hit the ball to early, wait until it starts falling, it's more forgiving if you hit it as late as possible.
Terima kasih untuk pertanyaannya! Kalo servis panjangnya topspin, bisa diblok aja seperti yang ditunjukkan di 7:42. Buat servis panjang yang backspin, bisa pake chop seperti di 2:57.
The difficult part is the serve did not come at the middle table as demonstrated..the pendulum serve usually comes at the extreme left for the opponent which is hard to receive for beginers like me.😂
Want more practice in reading serves? Watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/F8RB_WXIthk/v-deo.html

And even more if you miss it completely . These return are far better.
@@cyrillehurstelas he said at at a decent club. At amateur level these returns are fine

Nice one. Got 2 out of 3 . Missed the first one. Thought the bat went up but looking at the contact it was underspin.
Still a great job! Thanks for watching!
The second serve in the mini quiz was confusing, cus you hit under the ball. Could you explain how you generated topspin?
Its true that I hit below the ball, but my wrist and arms moved upwards so it is sidetopspin.
Great video. Can you do a longer version just focused on the quiz at the end.
Thanks and noted!

Bruh is that your house?
I think it's the background
does he live in the fucking buckingham palace like bro???
Great video,an improvement would be having someone serve to you.(Since you show the serve and receive from the same side.)
Thanks for the feedback!

For a left handed beginner player.. all is confusing.. i want a physics lecture😂
Meanwhile.. i got a lot of advantages for which i am a left handed😂
Bagaimana cara mengembalikan servis panjang, terimakasih

Nice house but god i can only imagine how many balls went missing
Hahahaha a lot did went missing 😅

😂

That's true 🥲
would have been better if shown from the players angle who will pick up the serves
Thanks for the feedback
Ok
nice house
Bro rich as hell
True but we watch this vid to study the serves not to study the background 💀
Would you please collect the transcript in one comment for easy revision ?

Comment below your quiz scores!
I could answer correctly but it may take time for praticing, since I do not have that much time to think like doing the quizz
Yep, it will take a lot of prectice to get used to, but great job in answering correctly!
1/3. I thought the second was plain sidespin? Didn't see any topspin...😢
