I've loved this tune since I was a kid in the early 70s. Thanks so much for the tutorial! Can't wait to try it.

Man, this is awesome! I thought an average human could NOT play this! You nailed it really good! Now, could you also do For A Few Dollars More too?

Thanks! This is a great version and excellent lesson. Hope you can do The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald sometime, it must be the most haunting song of all time.

haha...cowboy...that is fun...had to "learn" that...and its soo old and good....Clint Eastwood burst through the barn door back then...!!
and these guitar riffs where so inspiring....as well as the shadows "apache"...but they were already going in 1960.....

Cool, stuff! I was curious, what made you play it in those positions?
When listening to the original, it sounds like he was using more open strings-in first position. And it feels like a more natural way to play it, than moving around the neck so much… and missing out on the nice shimmer of open strings.
    Thank you!

No reason. And I think I agree it's probably all played down in first position

Wow!! Sounds great!! I always Wanted a Poncho like Clint had in those movies. I was Born in New Mexico and I was Exposed to those Design images Early, so I really Resonate with them. We even had a THUNDERBIRD DRIVE-IN, in the Little Cattle Town, I was born in, Clovis, New Mexico, right on the Northwestern Border on The Texas Panhandle - on an AIR BASE, CANNON to be exact. What Model of Epiphone is that? I can't afford a Gibson 335, so I'll have to go with a Lefty EPIPHONE, or some Other brand...??? But, I definitely Want a 335 Style - too Many Players Sound I dig that Play them, JUSTIN HAYWARD #1!!! I guess he played thru a HI-WATT..??? I've seen him play a Tele Early on, but that may have been for the Show.??? A Live, RIDE MY SEE SAW...
Here's a Link to the version where he uses a Tele, but there's also one with hmm Playing a 335.... in case you're interested...

The model Epiphone I have is a Casino. Similar to a 335 in shape, but is fully hollow (335 is semi hollow) and has slightly shorter scale length. They are great guitars. The Gibson version is a 330. Both were made in same factory backnin the day, so they were the same guitar. Today you can find new casinos from $500 ish on imports to US made for $1-$2k ish I think.
