I started this year hunting. I only use a bow cause that’s what I got and I only hunt public land cause again that’s all I got. Id love to go hunting with you just for 1 day to learn a little of what you know. If you ever come out to west blocton holler at me. We’d be glad to feed you a warm meal.

@thecedarridgechronicles thanks! I've done a few mounts before in the past and I'm still learning myself. Seeing your videos has helped me learn alot. Only thing I haven't tried myself is salting and tanning as I'm unsure how to do it all so I don't have to take my hide to the tannery. Again congrats and I look forward to see it done! Excited!
I actually shot a old mature doe this season but not a buck yet so ill be doing a doe mount along side with my first big 8 point I shot couple years back. Excited for that as well. I'm sure cutting the back of the head/neck area is the same process? Just minus the rack?

@southernslipping4225 we do have to wear an orange hat unless we are 12 feet or higher off the ground, and our rifle season is so long we don’t have the number of people hunting on any given day. It gets insane in states with a shorter gun season. The first time I hunted Kentucky I thought I was going to die wearing a hat and a vest 😂
