New sub here! Great info clear and concise! Been saddle hunting about four yrs and started one sticking last season. Really want a jx3 but wonder if will work with my one stick method.
You can one stick climb with it for sure, but it takes some getting use to.

I’m getting old and weigh 250lbs and have bad asthma. I only one stick with my JX3. It takes a few times practicing to get it down but then it is easy and fairly fast !

What about noise when transitioning from seated to leaning position? From the stand itself or stand against clothing noise?
I didn’t notice any. If your clothes are prone to noise I suppose there could be some.
The JX3 is the best stand I've ever used in the past 50 years...

What stick/steps would you recommend for this system to get 25' off the ground?
JX3 offers sticks but I have run the Tethrd One sticks with a Backwoods Mobile gear aider
Don’t forget you can take off the shoulder straps when your at hunting height and get way more mobility

I just switched to a hybrid system where I one stick up and rappel down but hunt out of a lightweight hang on. I just find myself moving around too much when I hunted out of a saddle. I find I can be more still in the sitting position in the hang on. So my question for you is can you sit still in the jx3 ? Or is it like a saddle where you are kind of floating around when leaning?
Once you get positioned in the JX3 Hybrid , you just sit there. You have the ability to move, but essentially all of your weight is on the tree, fork and it you just relax. If you are a fidgety person, then I still think with all scenarios that you have to be intentional about not moving.
Wouldnt it make sense to just use a Summit Climber VS the JX3??? The weight would be about the same.
No because climbers are super limited by straight trees without limbs whereas the jx3 can be used in a wider range of climbing scenarios.
I destroyed my shoulder a few years back I stared using a crossbow. What’s your thought on using this saddle with one?
My daughter likes shooting her crossbow out of it. I feel this provides great support for gun hunters and crossbow hunter via the side straps and the bridge as a resting post.
How does it perform in leaning trees? Does it constantly want to pull to the “downhill” side?
I don’t think it is much different from any other sling saddle. I think gravity pulls them all the same.

Can you do a video on how easy/hard it is getting down using the JX3. I’m still saving up for this saddle and before I make the commitment/justification to my wife on the price I need to have all my ducks in row.
Yeppers… what is your method climbing down? For me personally I ALWAYS rappel and rappelling is a breeze with this saddle!
@@platinumpursuitoutdoors Honestly, I’m new to saddle hunting, like brand new. I’m hoping this will be my first one. I’ve done so much research on saddles and how to get up a tree however, with the excitement of it all I forgot about the getting down part.
I would rappel if it were me. You’re always attached and it is super easy.

All this navigating the tree is as long as the tree is navigatable, limbs could prevent this.
You’re absolutely right. Pick the tree carefully. There are some more advanced tip I hip to put out soon. Picking a smaller diameter tree is helpful.
