    You getting me into perlite is multiplying my plant collection faster than I can keep up lol. So thanks! What I'm super happy about is that I can't propagate my golden or neon pothos in water as they always rot, but they do great in the perlite lunch box.

    • @EverythingPlants
      @EverythingPlants  2 роки тому

      I love hearing comments like this! And that is pretty crazy about your pothos rotting in water. Those are some of the quickest rooting plants for me.

      @@EverythingPlants yeah I don't know if it's my tap water or what. Most other cuttings work well for me just putting in water, but pothos starts going black at the stem very quickly. Now I get them well rooted in perlite and transfer to leca where they continue to do well.

    • @EverythingPlants

      @@jonmcintosh8653 I have the exactly the same problem with Pothos too! The only one that is doing ok is an N-Joy but Golden and especially Neon just keep rotting 😔 I've been inspired by Jeff too and have cut up my Neon and Golden and have them both in perlite, fingers crossed 🤞 It's weird as all other my other plants are doing well, especially a few Philodendron varieties which I assumed would be similar to Pothos? 🤔🌱 I wondered whether it was something to do with the UK temps etc as I don't use tap water?

      @@ShakiBee541 that's really interesting! I thought I was doing something unusual as they're supposed to be so easy to propagate but it's strangely good to know it's not just me rotting them 🤣. Hopefully you'll have the same success as me with perlite 🤞.

    .. I propagate all my cuttings I perlite and it works perfectly.. Back in May I had to clean up one of my golden pothos, and I tried to propagate two leafs that had broke off.. They have been in my mini green house, in perlite, ever since then.. I completely forgot about them, and about a week ago when I did a check up, I saw they had made new roots.. It was just the leafs, no node or anything.. So you just wait, with patience, and your leaf will give you roots.. But things takes time, and you need to be patient.. Good luck..
