    I love those Webra Engines. Those Engine was the first one i flew, early 2000s, was the old Trainer of my Dad. We also had a 10ccm, wich i still have. I bought it for a few bucks, because i liked the Minivox Silencer wich was mounted. The Engine looked like a piece of crab, but turned out to be a solid and strong runner, 10ccm Blackhead with Dynamix Carb. It was mounted to a 60 sized beat up Trainer. The newer Webras are ven more powerfull, they were real screamers... Had a .60 in a .40size Currare, that thing was a Rocket, 11x7 3/4 Woodprop and unsilenced tuned Pipe......
    HP also made really nice engines.

    Great engine, have a Webra 61 and some small diesel Webras. All work and I'm using them in different planes. Here in Sweden it's cold now so I envy your nice weather 😒

    I had a Webra 61 Blackhead engine in an airplane about 35 years ago. Wonderful running and reliable. I always thought they gave OS a run for the money!! Enjoy your videos.

    In our model flying club, we used to run our 6.5ccm Blackheads on a tuned pipe muffler and a 10x6 prop, which gave us about 16.500 rpm give or take. that was in the 1990s. Good times 😊

    I bought a TTGP42 and it had a silencer on it which I didn’t recognise. Until now, looks the same as this one! Thanks for helping me ID the silencer!

    I ve got the identical Silverline 410 model, except for silver head, which starts on first flip, here in the Ozarks. I did not know it was so old.

    Hi Mark, great to see this old Webra running and yeah they felt always a little bit on the greasy side, but back in ‘93 I had a 20ccm (just came out that date) and it was a brilliant engine👍…just for the 61 sizes I preferred OS max. Cheers from Munich, Sven🍺

    Hey Mark!
    A little fine tuning, and I'm sure you'll have that thing singing like a bird.
    Webra made fine motors. And they were very popular here in the states. I myself have two, a 61 ring, and a Speed 32 with the Dynamix carb.
    The 32 was, at the time, the hottest "20 size" motor you could find.
    Are you familiar?

    • @MarkRobinson555
      @MarkRobinson555  Рік тому

      Hi Richard, yes, Webra are certainly great engines, I have a couple of the 61 as well, but not familiar with the 32 unfortunately

      The Webra Speed .32 ABCD (Dykes ring) was a bit of a late bloomer in the Webra lineup. I bought mine around 1983, I think.
      The most interesting thing about this engine is the Dynamix carb. Rather than using a conventional rotating barrel for throttle control, this is a slide-valve carburetor, with an accelerator pump, no less.
      When properly tuned (easy to do), the Dynamix carb provides a steady idle with instant acceleration without any hesitation whatsoever. This is a really great engine.
      See you in the next one!

    What is an idle bar Mark you referred to when you mentioned the plug ? It reved at a high range ok, nice.

    • @MarkRobinson555
      @MarkRobinson555  Рік тому

      With old crossflow engines the glow plug had a bar across the end to protect the element from being flooded out by surges of fuel into the cylinder. You don't see them any more, but they can make a big difference on some old engines. My Merco 61 would not run right without one

      @@MarkRobinson555 Those days Schnürrle intake system didn't exist so such idle bars were common. After Schnürrle system applied, bar need eliminated.
