I lost my father to lung cancer just before christmas. Some weeks passed by and this song came up out of nowhere. Ive never heard it before. "I never said thank you for that". I never got to thank my father for what he has done to me. And it really rips my soul apart. When these lyrics hit my eardrum i feel so numb and empty. Its a beaututiful song and it hits me in a beautiful way but at the same time it hurts me so deeply.

It is a beautiful song, to paraphrase a famous poem that states grief is not something you get over but endure. To those innocent, yet fellow citizen, strangers that lost their lives on 9/11, who had no way to save themselves. As the 10 year anniversary approaches, I still feel the pain of these strangers' loss as if it had been from someone of my own family; as if it had happened yesterday. Never forget, and never take your life for granted.

I lost my father to lung cancer just before christmas. Some weeks passed by and this song came up out of nowhere. Ive never heard it before. "I never said thank you for that". I never got to thank my father for what he has done to me. And it really rips my soul apart. When these lyrics hit my eardrum i feel so numb and empty. Its a beaututiful song and it hits me in a beautiful way but at the same time it hurts me so deeply.

Hands down one of my favourite songs of all time!
My son had some lyrics from this song in a post on FB to honor his brother and try to heal. It is a beautiful song, to paraphrase a famous poem that states grief is not something you get over but endure. Songs like this make you sad but in some strange way makes me feel the love my son had for life, a life cut too short. His brother honored him well.

Just want to send everybody here my love and all the strength they may need with their pain and grief! Earlier this year met Jimmy at a concert in Amsterdam, what a genuine nice and down to earth guy. Absolutely love JEW, The Middle always puts a big smile on my face.
