Ooooh I broke both my legs, ankles, fractured my hip, dislocated my shoulder, broke my wrist, displaced my kidney, tore my bladder, and fractured my spine on one of those........
I agree the dry clutch makes it sound bad and in addition to only two cylinders, it doesnt sound smooth at low RPM. Also that single swingarm scares me. Only having one support to hold the only back tire seems dangerous, but it is tough. I like that under tail exhaust though which makes me wonder why they have that if it's actually not as good performance wise. Ducati is all about performance, hense the dry clutch...and looks too, which I guess explains undertail exhaust
@@moralrevulsionLive the 1198 is basically the 1098 R motor. It depends what you are riding: street, track, etc? If you are collecting wait for an R. If you do a lot racing and or high speed runs, get the biggest one you can get. There are also a lot of aftermarket options. You can buy the 1098 S for the suspension and pull the motor and put an 1198 engine in it= basically R motor. If collecting and waiting to sell then just get the R with all the extras. Or you could get the 848 and just swap internals OR buy S model suspension 2nd hand and flash ecu...yea! Lots of options!
@@jacksaysfuk-u4863 i didnt know that about the R on the 1198 and i believe few people know that so thank you so much. Basically i am a street rider commuter daily on my cbr i also have a nitrous busa but thats another story. Kinda underground street racing. But i want a ducati cause ive ridden a 1098 base model some years ago and boy it spoke to my soul. So i bought it for track bike but end up rolling it daily. The day i sold it felt a part of me died. Hahaha. Also the new owner went on to a wall third day of ownership so bye poor duc. Yet the issue is where i come from few 1098S left around and heard a lot of horror stories for the reliability mine however was ok except for the stalling issue. Fewer 1198 around though so fewer stories😂 but yeah i need to feel that soul movement on a ducati i guess again even if its gonna be twice weekly.
@@moralrevulsionLive the 1098 series of bikes is way more reliable than the older 996 series. The early or 1st year 1098s had a bottom end issue. Other than that is just checking belts and valves.
The reason you dont see many Ducati's other there it's the awful sound that comes out of it. It's not the price or even the ugly plain yellow color. We all like powerful, fast bikes but to be honest 99% of us ride bikes to show off and if people don't hear you coming what's the point.

Doesn't deserve those dislikes. Its his honest review
Except he gave hp and torque at the crank, not the wheel. And not to nit pick but top speed is 173 mph.
The more and more I see this bike the more I want one in white.
This guy gets it. “It’s a Ducati.”
Air keeping the clutch clean, straight six cylinders in the triumph...I cant listen anymore.
The queen of ducatis❤️
AnerNetwork 1098 very true. Is the most beautiful and raw ducati ever made in my book.
Love the yellow I’m thinking about getting one of these bikes
Do it!!
single sided swing arm, top exotic brands... like Honda and their VFR tourer... er...
Or a Honda 650 Hawk, or a Triumph.
Talks about everything under the sun, no mention of the desmodronics he should have gotten the red one to match the shoe laces

Beautiful Gorgeous Bike
Triumph has a straight 3 or inline 3 cylinder engine not a straight 6
Once I heard that, I was done. Coupled with him perched on the foot peg...
Dude what are you sitting on, the rear peg?
That's what I was wondering too, anyone know? Also very good review!
It's digging deep into his ass crack
Is it common for Ducati owners to insert foot pegs into their rear?
You don’t even have a bike mike
1:13 not sure what he’s sitting on? Hope he’s not centered on a foot peg

Can someone with 5 ft 8 inches height flat foot on 1098 in a seated posture?
Nope, Just the balls of your feet
Have you ever crashed?
