Reboot would definitely be the best way to go, Naughty Dog could start fresh and establish a proper game with a whole new story, updated graphics and gameplay. It would also be a great way to explore Jak and Daxter lore like what was haven city like before Praxis and Veger's takeover, who Mar is, I could even see Jak's friendship with Daxter being the one thing that keeps him going considering they are like brothers
Exactly! There are a lot of great storylines in older games that could be reused, but better. They can dive deeper in the lore of Mar and Eco powers, give more attention to some characters and so on. I think a reboot could bring back what people loved but also improve what didn't work and allow developers to add a lot of new stuff!
I came up with new games about Jack and Dexter, Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank and Spyro the Dragon. And they will have realistic worlds and these series of games have different settings. Spyro will have a superhero beat-em-up map, Ratchet will have a third-person shooter (like Mass Effect with space cats), Sly will have third-person stealth action, and Jack will have an MMO-RPG. And all these games have an open world.
Reboot would be the smartest way to go. It would be cool if they started it before the actual jak got set back to the past and give a little bit more backstory to the metal heads. I would only hope though they keep the same humor and tropes from the original series.

I do have some thoughts about that which is the only problem with the reboot is that it will never stay like the source material that fans grow up and love as I seen every other movies or a classic cartoon get ruined trying to make it fit in to this generation or failed to keep it feeling like the original , Also yes ,Jak did saw the precursors and stop the dark ship but at the end of Jak3 they open up doors for many adventure meaning more Jak games in the future leading to that storyline of them fighting with the dark makers and Jak time traveling to complete his destiny, Honestly I don’t feel like Jak story line is quite finish even though they did answered some of the question from precursor legacy and they did hinted that of gol and Maia returning from in the precursor legacy when samo’s said probably, I still feel like Jak3 was kinda rush and a sequel can probably fix some of that such as Keira having more development time to shine and become a sage as it was hinted that in precursor legacy and ending the series with a high note and also even if they would to return of a reboot or even a sequel it won’t be the same with out samos voice actor and the farmer voice actor, And them trying to make Jak and daxter realistic and trying to make him live action just wouldn’t work, and by Naughty dog leaving more questions like is Jak the Mar or not the Mar and than make a racing game behind it and left a cliffhanger at the end of JakX combat racing and ignoring that story line behind Jak3 story line just lost a lot of potential of what could had been in my opinion.
The reboot needs to have a T rating, implement eco in a more fleshed out way and I personally think Jak should drop the guns (outside of some vehicles) and focus on more deep melee combat with only a few ranged abilities. The only huge roadblock is a potential narrative unless it just focuses on the Mar concept, sucks the eco shortage concept was wasted with high impact.
Yeah, I really would like to know more about eco powers and I would like them to be implemented more in the gameplay. It has potential! As for weapons, I think they should be in the game, because right now I can hardly imagine playing a Jak and Daxter game without them. Thanks for commenting!;)
I want a brand new mainline game of Jak and Daxter franchise by Sony, PlayStation Studios and Naughty Dog with only cartoonish animation style instead of realistic animation for exclusively on PS5 into the future.
I think a more realistic art style would suit Jack and Daxter better. Especially the reboot I described. In my opinion, the cartoonish style would have been more suitable for the remake of the first game:)
