Have you ever played Sunset Overdrive? It's made by Insomniac and a lot of gameplay mechanics from the R&C games are used in that game and in my opinion at least it's better than the entirety of R&C

I haven't played or finished every game in the series, but my top 4 are these: 4. Tools Of Destruction 3. Up Your Arsenal 2. Rift Apart 1. A Crack In Time

Am I the only one who liked A Crack In Time more than Rift Apart?

I think Insomniac would be unintelligent to not continue the series, even if it won't be soon. With the roaring success of Rift Apart, and its ambiguous ending, it is inevitable that a new game will be generated. As for my opinion, it should mark the tie up to the Lombax storyline. It has been around for a lengthy time, it is time for something fresh. The villain should certainly be my darling, Emperor Tachyon. Not only was he drastically underutilized in the 1 game he is physically present in, he is an integral part in the franchise's history, and he would be the sole logical antagonist. If anything, i do NOT want the next mainline installment to be solely dedicated to Rivet. A Miles Morales type of game with her is not negative, but she already stole the spotlight from Ratchet in Rift Apart enough in my opinion. Whatever happens, I am interested.

rift apart was honestly really good if not a masterpiece told a wonderful story and had great gameplay as well

Finally somebody tells the truth about this trash game. I'm sick of everybody praising this game with zero arguments.

It's much higher now. It sold 4 mill, that is about 240 mil in rev. minus 81 mill costs, this is about a 159 m profit and definitely worth a repeat for another Ratched game. I hope they won't make PS exclusive anymore since obviously it does much better with sales on PC.

ratchet and rank 2 is very hard and it isn't as good as dealocked on not being boring and hard and i prefer quest for booty than this

Not at all! Far from it! One of my favorite video games movies along with Paramount's Sonic, Illumination's Mario, Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, Resident Evil: Death Island, Tekken: Blood Vengeance, Mortal Kombat 2021, The Rock's Doom and Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie.

The demo of the original Ratchet and Clank was the first one I played when I had the PS2 Demo Disc, but the 2016 remake was the first full game I played and finished. It made me interested in trying the other games in the series. I think Crack in Time is my favorite from the ones I played so far (I played 5 games)

I’m proud of how far ratchet has come since the first game. No longer a selfish, immature teen, but a kind-hearted and selfless hero.

With how much was revealed during the leak I think after finishing Wolverine and all Spider-Man 2 DLC, Insomniac Games should put a hold on all the non R&C projects they have in the works, maybe even cancel/downsize some stuff. Not only would this push up the release date for the next Ratchet & Clank game, but the delay could help make people forget what was leaked, as some sites did help IG by taking down leaked content. I'd also be okay with IG releasing a small R&C game in between projects. Imagine a "Into the Nexus" length prequel game where we play as Ratchet's father Kaden! Not only would it be fun but it could do what IG didn't do in Rift Apart and explain certain events (this time in more detail) leading up to the day the Lombaxes had to escape Tachyon by fleeing to another dimension.

Well i think 2002 is better cause he feels like a actual threat,you can feel his presence throughout the game(like orxon, oltanis and veldin-you can literally hear a laughter which is likely his in veldin ost at the beginning of the final level which I like cause it really feels like there is no hope) Also as you said he is satisfying to take down And his bossfight is very creative First you fight as giant clank then as ratchet and then at the end you have to deactivate the deplanetizer which is climactic 2016 is maybe bit more redeemable but he makes so much jokes that are not funny which makes him a bit pathetic Also the fact he isnt a final boss also ruins him as villain and as a threat It is also bad that ratchet has no conflict with him unlike in original Also in the game there is no model of drek since he only exist in cutscenes which is funny btw. In 2002- him being a irredeemable villain ties to the whole theme of the game-capitalism materialism and so on In 2016 - well he isnt tied to any theme which is a shame So therefore i find 2016 version boring and pathetic When 2002 one is maybe generic but he feels like a villain

Of the original ps2 platformers, I’ve spent most time on Sly Cooper. Never played Ratchet and Clank, but was always interested in it. Is it still worth playing today as a newbie? Where should I start? Is it worth playing the originals if you don’t have nostalgia for them???

These people who hated this movie are blind. If they were expecting the same from the game, then they should've checked the gameplay. Every video games are long. It isn't about kill or collect things or whatever, you have to explore every worlds you're in to collect the rest and other stuff to reach a 100%. All I could say is, they just don't understand. The creators who can make a video games into a movie are doing the best they can and other people just didn't take it from granted!

not only did Ratchet loose cronk and zephyr he lost Azimuth and that also what caused it and it just makes me feel bad for Ratchet

I like this story because it really shows how much Ratchet has changed and that Rivet is sourt of going through what Ratchet did

Saying UYA is better than GC is so bs. UYA has less paths, less enemy variations, no grind rails, no ship battles and if you didnt notice the color and atmosphere of UYA is the most ugly in the trilogy. Even size matters feels much a RaC game than UYA. UYA = Overrated AF

Honestly it look like spin off in 2026/2027 and 2029 big episode with ps6 and so new possibility for the game.
