Typically jobs with "evaluation" pay will pay you hourly for the first few pay checks to prevent newer people from losing money as it will usually take them longer than the route is "evaluated" for. Also the "evaluated pay" will go out the window once you go over 40 hours as overtime kicks in, which means there is a window you want to avoid where you will actually lose pay.

Hi there! I’ve just been hired as an Amazon driver. My first day is coming up and I’m wicked excited. I thrive working alone. Dream job. I’m now binging your videos. Thank you for posting! ❤
New viewer here, and I have already watched about 10 of your videos. Very interesting! I have never worked delivery, so it's all new to me, and I learn at least a few new things with every video. Thanks for sharing your life as a delivery driver/concierge. Until last week, I had never seen an Amazon EV in my neighborhood, strange as that may seem (I guess the Long Island NY warehouses have had a lot of the older Amazon vehicles and third party cargo vans until now). We have a lot of private cars delivering Amazon packages too, mostly early in the day before 10AM or late in the day after 7PM. Oh, and with this video, my dog went nuts with all the beeping (scans, door access codes, Amazon locker accessing, etc.). Thanks for that. 😆 Rock on Chris! 🤘
Worked as a driver during covid when I was between jobs. This was just before the netradyne cameras were installed, and we CERTAINLY didn't have those high tech EV's. Those things look so nice haha. This video gave me some war flashbacks for sure. Much respect - this job is mentally and physically taxing.
I just became an AMM and it's amazing to see all the elements that I don't get to see within my site's scope. A part of me hopes to eventually work with the EDV's one day, thanks for sharing your experiences!
I have been a rural mail carrier for 30 years. That means I deliver not only mail but parcels(yesterday I had over 400 half of which required me to depart my USPS Metris because they would not fit in the mailbox). I have seen a lot of videos on here from Amazon delivery or former delivery drivers quitting or saying how much it sucks and its too hard or whatever. Thats fine because its not the kind of job for everyone. It doesn't make you a bad person or a bad worker if a particular job isn't for you. Having said that it is great to see a video from an Amazon Driver with a positive outlook and attitude. I will offer one word of advice. When you place a parcel in front of a door, place it up against the side of the door that is hinged. This is so if someone exits the door not knowing or expecting a parcel to be there they will not accidentally step on it and possibly lose their footing and take a hard fall. Great video. Keep up the great work.
Thank you for all the content you put out there for us, Chris. I’ve seen a lot of your videos tonight, and it was my first time seeing you. You gave plenty of insightful tips during your video sharing, but what I found more useful was your positive attitude during your workload. That kept me motivated honestly. Always stay true with who you are. Wanted to comment, so the algorithm works in your favor. Great stuff.
Damn this is crazy. Im a delivery driver (well student) for the belgium delivery service (bpost). Whilst we have like an app and electric evs we basically just get like a big containers full of packages. (which I have to sort manually) in the back of my car. Every package basically has a number on it eg res-208 001 means its the first package on round 208. I just sort all the high numbers in the back of the trunk and like the low numbers next to me or like near the back. You could just throw all packages unsorted in the trunk but you'll have a bad day finding the right package.. Im an IT student and programming enthusiast and I know things could be more efficiently made, am watching the proof right now! Would be crazy how much money could be saved actually integrating the displays in the car, using maps like Waze, not having 2002 UI, ... Keep it up bro
I was a manager at a delivery station and this takes me back :) One thing i noted is that our drivers were not allowed to move an inch once they parked in the loading area until every vehicle was present and nothing moved anymore. Only then would the person responsible for safety "release" the drivers to step outside and start loading. The hustle at that time seemed chaotic but there was method to the madness. I had a really great team and i really miss them, crazy MoFo's! :D
All of the stops are close though. I get 170 stops in a wealthy area where each stop is spread out and has long driveways. If you aren’t running all day you’ll be behind
Are you shitting me??? Ive been pressing the damn button on the screen when I walk back into the van to find the next stop and I always tap the screen wrong and it won't open unless I try like 4-5 different times 😭😭😭LIFE SAVER!!!! Thanks for sharing that bro ‼️

As a Dutchman I really don't get the American way of just leaving parcels at the door. You don't even try to ring the door. Haha. Over here they'll take em to a pickup point. No wonder so many packages get lost over there. :p
Same here in the uk door dashing we call it where u just drop and go it's a instant sacked if your caught doing that PLUS doing this means the route gets more and more drops as it tells amazon AI that there is enough time to add more making it harder for the next driver..... Sometimes we get ahead by 10 which is fine but when you see yourself getting up to 30 ahead u literally stop even though finish early can get u home faster just means making the route bigger for no reason and no extra pay.
We average 190 stops with my dsp or with the multiple stops like 220, 300+ packages it's crazy, I averaged 28 an hour the day and finished 183 packages 2 1/2 hours early but my body was feeling it.
this reminds me of the anime "cells at work" if yall havent watched it its the cells in our body animated and the red blood cells are the delivery people in the body
I wasn't expecting to watch this whole video when I clicked on it. I was expecting just to see a little bit, because this video was long, but somehow I watched the whole video without skipping anything, keep doing, what you're doing.❤
Bro your route seems pretty chill, I deliver in sandiego and it’s ghetto af. A lot of traffic, no parking anywhere all apts closed and they smell bad and lot of crazy people
Its so interesting to see how loadout differs from location to location. At my station NOBODY can leave their vans until everyone is parked or leave the building until every person is done loading and in their vans (Or if they take too long the traffic controllers will make them load outside so the rest of us can leave)
I have been watching Amazon employee videos for a bit now, and it's interesting to see how work is like there. I love these long videos. Keep them coming, Chris!
This whole set up is a lot nicer than at our hub. The fact that you guys can driver inside and load up is awesome and those EVs look great. We've got a high volume small center so our launchpad is outside and half of our vans are Pro Masters in various states of disarray while the other half are small chevy work vans. It can be difficult sometimes.
@georgejunior-x2l sounds about right. Most Amazon Delivery drivers could care less. I always waited to get back to the warehouse and disposed of them. It takes just a few minutes to clean out your van. I mean if you had time swing by a gas station and pick something up and ask for a sack. They make a great garbage bag
I just stumbled on your videos and I really really like them! So I'm a lifelong subscriber to your channel now! Amazon drivers need lots of love! I always send the anonymous message with all the good things checked when I get a delivery. Does the driver that did the delivery really get those messages of appreciation?
There are so many people trying to escape this job, but then there's me, absolutely loving it several months in. This is my second job on the weekends. I can get home any time between 8-11pm and feel sore, accomplished but with energy and vibes to spare. Mon-Fri I go to my corpo finance job where I make considerably more money, but I can barely keep my shit together by the 4th hour in the office. I'm so ready to be home, staring at the clock, and I'm generally anxious and unhappy after leaving.
long vids are great chris. watching from Australia. thank you for the entertainment. I love looking at the surroundings to see how different your country is to mine. houses and cars are all very different, building are relatively the same i guess.... roads and yards are different. one day I will visit.

Delivering for amazon is great if you work for a good dsp. Good luck finding the good one. Worked 60 hours per week in Minnesota for 3 years for a great dsp. Moved to Virginia and worked for a terrible dsp before quitting after 8 months. Longest tenured driver at my first dsp was 6 years. Longest at my second dsp was me at 8 months.
I would love to see - and would watch any hour long vods of just doing deliveries. Its very satisfying to watch how you do your job and places you see and driving. Its like those train cab videos :0 - Love the content.

We started getting the same “Adaptive cruise control unavailable until serviced” warning too this summer. A lot of times it would work in the morning and then stop working during the day. Dispatch said that a Rivian tech told them it is from the air conditioner fogging up the camera inside the dash. Seems to be it as most days that I don’t use AC, it keeps working.
Sounds like a crazy oversight on the part of Rivian. Chrysler has an exterior sensor it uses on the Pacifica for ACC, don't have any issues with it except for in super heavy rain (when you shouldnt be using CC anyway)
@@tristanb.3470 I had the cruise control stop working a few times in the last couple of weeks when I wasn’t using sure conditioning. I did a restart on the van and then it worked, so who knows. They are glitchy

this reminds me of the anime "cells at work" if yall havent watched it its the cells in our body animated and the red blood cells are the delivery people in the body
I wasn't expecting to watch this whole video when I clicked on it. I was expecting just to see a little bit, because this video was long, but somehow I watched the whole video without skipping anything, keep doing, what you're doing.❤
thanks. I'm always so skeptical making longer content for this reason. I'll be watching the analytics close
Not an Amazon driver but I love your videos. Makes me happy to see someone with positive attitude working. Thanks for the video !
Yes, Virginia, everybody can have a positive attitude as long as they ain't from rural West Virginia! God these people are terrible! 🫡
Loved the video, thank you! Yes I do like the longer videos.
Who drinks a can of soda with 2 hands 😂 26:09
Love your videos man, as long as you do these ima support.
appreciate it fam 💯
Bro your route seems pretty chill, I deliver in sandiego and it’s ghetto af. A lot of traffic, no parking anywhere all apts closed and they smell bad and lot of crazy people
Isn't it San Diego, you live there - I'm an Aussie and I know that 🤦♀️
I wonder if it's the apartment smell that's driving people crazy? Maybe it's a mold problem affecting their brain somehow? 🤔
Full range adaptive cruise control is why I LOVE my Grand Highlander!!! Nice video!!!
I really like drive the electric ⚡️ Rivian
Delivery Luxury at it's finest
You’ve got a good attitude and work ethic. You’ll go far in life my friend. Keep it up.
chris is giving the ppl what he wants
I'm here for yall
More like what we want
The joy i feel when i see Chris has uploaded a video. These videos are legit therapeutic. Keep up the good work man 🙏
thanks for watching and commenting ❤
YAY MOR RIVIAN VAN AND LONG VID Also could you do like a day in the life of you from when you wake up till you go to bed or smt
future hour long special video idea?
@@LaosHouse YAS PLS
Its so interesting to see how loadout differs from location to location. At my station NOBODY can leave their vans until everyone is parked or leave the building until every person is done loading and in their vans (Or if they take too long the traffic controllers will make them load outside so the rest of us can leave)
I just applied as a delivery driver! 🤞I get it😊
You will
I got the interview but got ghosted afterwards no response if I got denied or accepted lol
@@VietyF Ghosted, ghosted, ghosted, ghosted, ghosted, ghosted, ghosted, ghosted, ghosted. Where did they go? Nobody knows! 🤔

Nah,apply at UPS and make career money with amazing benefits!
I have been watching Amazon employee videos for a bit now, and it's interesting to see how work is like there. I love these long videos. Keep them coming, Chris!
Just got fired from Amazon yesterday…. Felt good ngl
For what lol
Bro got his unemployment check
This whole set up is a lot nicer than at our hub. The fact that you guys can driver inside and load up is awesome and those EVs look great. We've got a high volume small center so our launchpad is outside and half of our vans are Pro Masters in various states of disarray while the other half are small chevy work vans. It can be difficult sometimes.
I'm getting 170-190 stops. I've been #1 driver past 3 weeks, and still only getting 3 days = 24-27 hrs a week. No breaks allowed
Real
No breaks is bs
It makes you take a break though
@redline6871 no it doesn't
@@JPS95gti yeah it dose because i drive for them in the uk and it reminds u after every 2 hours to have a 10 to 15 min brake so stop with the bs
just found your channel. love the longer content! You make driving for amazon look fun
do you still have to pee in bottles or no
Hahaha I came here to ask the same thing!! 😂
We did when I worked there. Didn't have time to stop let alone breaks
I live by an amazon warehouse and my whole entire neighborhood is littered with piss bottles! The drivers toss them out before returning their trucks!
Bro just put the bags in the van your doing to much
Bro can not be talking💀
Your UA-cam videos are the reason why I will apply for Amazon (I am in the UK and apparently there are some rivians lurking around)
Chris bro I recently started watching your films and man, they’re relaxing and enjoyable to watch! Keep it up bro 😃
you're the freakin best Chris. I hope your next week goes amazing!!
I'm so ready to be home, staring at the clock, and I'm generally anxious and unhappy after leaving.
the smaller more roundy trucks look so cute haha
long vids are great chris. watching from Australia. thank you for the entertainment. I love looking at the surroundings to see how different your country is to mine. houses and cars are all very different, building are relatively the same i guess.... roads and yards are different. one day I will visit.
Vanlife in these will be game changing fucking love the future
Great Content Chris! I enjoy watching as a Flexer
As an Amazon Associate in the UK, its really interesting to see the drivers POV
Things don't look that much different hahaha
Hey Chris! Just saw this vid randomly suggested and man thanks for the chill 30minutes didn't expect that this is the fastest 30 minutes video that I watched. Take care! and thanks for sharing this experience!
I've only seen these and wonder if I'll ever get a chance at trying one of these vehicles. Thanks for the video!
It’s amazing to see different people delivering for Amazon!! In the UK we cannot leave parcels on doorsteps as they will just get stolen… I’m jealous of yous🤣
dang, I use Amazon every day, and I always forget what your delivery drivers go through, huge respect for you guys
Makes me appreciate my 20-25 stops and +/-100 pieces in a 8 hour day lol
I'm surprised that you don't get in trouble for taking videos while working....be safe out there Chris!
I would love to see - and would watch any hour long vods of just doing deliveries. Its very satisfying to watch how you do your job and places you see and driving. Its like those train cab videos :0 - Love the content.
My immediate reaction was to come in her and make a snarky negative comment about working for Amazon, but honestly...just gotta say thank you to all the workers that put up with this shitshow. Especially during the holiday season.
I just had my interview today and am waiting for my background check to finish. Can't wait to start delivering!
this was cool to watch especially since all these roads are familiar since I grew up in Clifton
Thank you for taking us with you loved it.
Man this thing is amazing. So organized! Loved the amazon locker opening by it self. I really thinking of sending an application!
Thank you for what you do! You are amazing! I have always wondered how an Amazon facility worked! This video really helped me learn how it worked!
Years ago I was a 24foot straight truck driver with rise and lower lift gate. I worked for a distributor for the Boars Head brand. I didnt have near as many stops but we did have was U-Boats full to the top (could be access of 800lbs rolling into a store. Then we had to stock the walk in freezers and rotate out the old, put in the new, than stock the sales floor. Each stoop was an average of 2 hours or more. Never again!!!!
Nice one Chris long video. I work work for DHL express here in Amsterdam, I do it now for 3 years and still going strong man
its been a while since I saw a DHL truck
I’m 14 rn and I feel like this would be a good job for me to start my adulthood
