You KNOW we all felt that sigh at 0:11. I felt that in my bones 🤣 I have no idea why I finished my route today and I'm still on YT watching other people get ready for theirs. I need to go to bed.
I get so many Amazon packages delivered during a year and I never think of the actual process that gets my packages to my house. Thank you and to every delivery drivers who do this! Y'all are not having it easy but the packages are always pristine and I extremely respect that.
Huge process from handling process to semi truck driver moving your package from fulfillment warehouse to delivery center then delivery driver to your front door 😬😬.
I came across a FedEx employee today while delivering and we compared vans and the work load. He only had 128 stops and none were grouped. I had 180 stops, all of which were grouped with over 400 packages. I’m applying for FedEx immediately. FedEx may have packages up to 150 pounds but it’s rare. Amazon isn’t unionized and doesn’t care about the employees at all.
Haven't tuned into your stuff since I stopped delivering myself. BUT I got to say VERY IMPRESSIVE B-roll footage with the drone shots in the beginning. Trying to give props to your effort with this comment. Keep it up!
@@LaosHouse Chris, I truly don't mean this to be rude, but your channel was pretty much built on day in the life of an Amazon Driver. If you quit, I do think you're going to lose a lot of the subs. Obviously, that's kinda unfair as you don't want to be "stuck" at a single job, but I hope you have some back up plan for this channel.
The hardest thing about peak for me is just the time of year. It’s cold, it dark earlier, it’s the holidays, and you’re out busting your ass into the night to make sure everyone gets their stuff. It was gratifying but in most industries (other than retail and maybe food) stuff pretty much shuts down for the holidays and everyone understands it’s going to be a slower period from thanksgiving to Christmas. So going from chilling around the holidays to having my hardest days be right during the holidays, just mentally took it out of me. It made me actually enjoy my holidays less, I was dreading them the closer they got because the pace just kept going up. Glad I don’t deliver anymore honestly 😅
2 weeks in, and I already took the next job that offered me to work for them. My DSP gave me 400+ packages on day 2 and hasn’t gone down the entire time I worked for them. I received a job offer as a dog training apprenticeship in the middle of my route. I hopped back in my van, drove back to the DSP and told them I quit.
Never understand why Amazon won’t build themselves a scanner for couriers to use instead of those junk cell phones that are cracked and worse don’t even work properly half the time when on your route .
Man love your videos bro, I’m also a dsp for Amazon, out in Dallas Texas in coppell, we handle XL packages, the most stops you will get is like in the 60”s, and only 60 packages at times , doing 4 work days and 3 days off , so far I can honestly say , it’s definitely in better shape far as cardio goes , by man keep up the good work bro , peak season is a pain , I jus learn to get thru it , jus remember this is just a stepping stone to what you wana do in your life goals man, I don’t see my self as a dsp for the long run, this is job for me is jus for convenience, be safe out there bro , and hope you don’t run into any Karen’s out there man haha
i don't like rescues at all!!! i don't know why people can't finish the job , i always get my job done and nobody come to rescue me and the dispatcher says if you refuse it can be a write up!!! that's really sucks.
Bro because of you I decided to apply at Amazon and got hired! Sadly it’s a seasonal job and warehouse instead of a driver but have liked it and work in the delivery station!
Here is a good tip for when the work phone dies!! Put the phone to charge and turn off the screen, then log in to a different phone and switch over the new phone. (Keep the work phone screen turned off). That way you can still use the navigation screen on. 😊😊
I am NOT looking forward to your leaving Amazon and/or no vids BUT I understand. I really really do not need another water bottle but I might order one anyway although I usually do not respond to any merch I see on UA-cam vids. You're an exception all the way.
I work for a dsp in Jacksonville. I had 151 stops today. Honestly brother you could save time by loading your overflow by 0’s, U’s,100’s, 200’s etc. also I don’t clock out for a 30, I eat in between stops and clock out on my drive back to the station. Another thing is I unload the current tote that I’m pulling from and put it in my passenger seat and sort the envelopes by number. I never pull from a tote. I’m number 3 driver for the month so I don’t cut corners I just work smart. Keep it up tho brother. I love your content.
I started working as an Amazon driver a month and a half ago. This is my second week off nursery routes and my average stop count has been 170-180 with 350 packages. My DSP is small and we don’t have enough vans so half the time they’re putting us in Uhaul trucks.
Lately, whenever I order something on Amazon, I've been choosing the "low carbon option" or "no rush" shipping methods. Hopefully that alleviated some of the difficulties for the drivers in my area.
With the magsafe on the waterbottle, people could use the cup holder in their cars as a stand for navigation purposes. They could also use the magsafe stand to facetime people with a steady camera frame
Yeah peak season has been draining this year for me, my DSP almost every route is pushing 180-200 stops daily almost 400 packages at times. 3rd year and it’s draining as is, but thank you for the content
I live in an apartment. It always feels good when you meet the driver at the bottom of the stairs, and if they need ID have it ready in your hand to show them. I usually need to tell them my ID will play funny with their app because I'm 25 (24 or 26 is fine lol)... Ye, I don't envy Amazon drivers this time of year.
First peak. Your content got me to start (lmao). I’m kinda lucky this year. We’ve had mad ups and downs. 120-140 stops (250-300 packages) in the neighbourhood I work in. To all the other drivers, stay safe and keep it up!

Same I’m in FedEx ground. I’m chilling here rather do 130 stops than 190 and rescue afterwards. They all look at me strange because I don’t stress on peak season I always show up last and one of the first ones to come back 😂
Yep he doesn’t work for FedEx Express…9:15 am you are already out on the road or still in the sort. You’re getting up at 3:45 am and the sort starts at 5 am.
I wish I ONLY had 200 stops a day during peak…that’s mad crazy low. I had a mid shift route at express and that was a low count during the summer when things were suppose to be slow. During peak they are splitting routes in halves or thirds because they get so big and you still end up with well over 200…
Wait, finishing at 8:00pm is “early”??? Jesus man, you guys have it rough. Also I really love the idea of sitting out some snacks frito bags in front of one of those first houses! I’d love to do something like that. Is that, like, a good/appreciated thing to do this time of year?
depends on the amazon DSP. early for my company regularly is 4-6pm which is when our faster more competent drivers usually end up finishing. 11am start
Good stuff Chris couldn’t help but smile when you talked about your bottle woulda been so useful at my 1 year tenure at Amazon . Those vans are Amazon property , most of the drivers and their dispatchers are a contracted out delivery service which is why they are called Delivery Service Partner.... if those vans get damaged in any way then Amazon would charge the DSP for repairs and replacement plus they would get rid of the DSP for damaging their vehicles.
Don't forget to check out my bottles(get some for friends for Christmas!) Stay strong and bless everyone. Don't let peak beat you 🔥

Love the dispatcher telling everyone to be safe with the vans 😂 not be safe with yourselves but look after the van
Hey Chris does the 64 oz fit in the Amazon van cup holder?
no they are too big. good for travel and sports though
