From the farmer and I as this is the farm that I used to work at and he is still a good friend of mine we thank you for remaking this with the right information and not for trespassing on the property again as I can see that you hadn't been on this property as this property is now boarded up and cctv is now in place 24\7
Hi Ashleigh, we did not know the property was still owned until after. That’s when I did the history! But i am glad that the house has been boarded and has cctv as this way it will be kept safe! I have and always change the names to keep the property safe. I hope you & "Edward" stay safe and take care.
Hi meg and Chris I am grateful that you have documented the house before it's not safe I have tried to get him to get some of the lovely furniture and ornaments out of the house with no luck we thank you again for history on the property as there are other videos on UA-cam with the wrong information thank you for protecting their identity the cctv and the boarding up of the property has not stopped people going in someone had smashed the cctv and ripped off the boarding on the door and stole all of the clocks from the house unfortunately I wish you all the best and hope that you stay safe
Really enjoyed watching this video, thank you 🌹❤️ some beautiful trinkets, pictures and ornaments - so sad that it’s all just abandoned and not loved 💔
You two have the most calming voices. I just found your channel today and this is the 3rd video I’ve watched, in a row. You two are so respectful to the property, the items inside, and the history/previous owners. I have watched a few other channels, that look at abandon properties, and they don’t always give a full history. Thank you for all the time and effort you put in to each video.🙏🏼
I just think it shouldn't have been called the Texas chainsaw massacre house. That place has no history of a horrible thing that happened in Texarkana. But that house has big big money left behind an that ashame. One of those pitchers you showed went for over a hundred thousand dollars at a auction in New York. The dishes are also worth real big money. I'm so shocked that people have big money to be so greedy not to get that history out there through all those antiques it makes me so saddened to see that shit just deteriorate
just found your channel today and im addicted already! been watching your videos most of my day off work! i love how you add information and history on the properties you cover, as a lot of uk explorers don’t. gonna be keeping up on this channel like a new netflix series:)
Such a shame 😞. I hope this man gets some peace one day and the farm gets a new family to love it like it deserves. This home was once filled with love. Thank you for your work again you two.
I have watched many many videos like this, but nothing like how you two film which is one of a kind, you two stand out from all the rest and it’s because you care are sensitive and loyal to the folks that use to be. I have just subscribed and can’t wait to watch all your videos you both come across as wonderful human beings wow and thank you 😊 ❤️❤️
Awww what a lovely home, so sad to see it rotting away, all that beautiful furniture and wonderful photos of the family, I bet the house can tell some stories. It would be a dream house to live in, so stunning and should be saved and preserved before it's to late however, I do understand that grief affects us all in so many different ways, I know myself when losing my gran whom i was brought up by more or less, it absolutely broke my heart and shattered my world, not a day passes that i don't think or am reminded her in one way or another and it's been nearly 19 years, for myself I take comfort from memory but others it can be to painful, I just hope one day the owner could find the strength. Loved ones passed will always live on for as long as we remember them
Wow!Wow!Wow! There is SO much stuff in that farm house that I would adore to have! All the Blue Willow style dishes are every where! I'm grieving here!
What a wonderful video enjoyed it so sad how everything is decayed and left to rot lots of little niknaks and so many memories if the walls can talk what an amazing story it would be thank you for sharing love your videos ❤❤
What a sad ending for this little treasure trove of a house. I noticed a lot of willow pattern crockery and Delft earthenware which comes from the Netherlands probably collected by the lady of the house. Edward is 67 the same age as me and I feel sad that he ended up like he has. Thanks for sharing Meg and Chris. Xxx
I am 61 years old I live here in San Antonio Texas and I am enjoying your channel and hello 👋 by the way it is August 2, 2022 at 1:17 PM. I can count on one hand the folks I know of , inherited the family business and the hard work that the fathers the Papas and the mamas put into it to be dilapidated and ruined by the children they gave comfort and joy to and the inheritance and is just so disgusting, it would be nice to hear the opposite but thank you for this the legacy belongs to the father and the bad legacy belongs to the son
4. Early Piano Lamps In the early days, pianists would play in auditoriums and practice at night with the light of a candle. This posed safety risks and made it harder to read the music because of the additional glare of the flame. Eventually musicians began to use this same concept with a cover placed on the back of the candle to reduce glare and focus the light of the flame onto the music and keys. The rise of electricity took away the risk of fire, but the same glare problems developed. Covers and shades were then used to remove glare, making for more comfortable playing. Vintage piano lamps made in these styles are available for traditionalists, but they are usually much more expensive. Modern lamps are plugged in or powered by battery, and LED piano lamps often clip on to the music stand to be as unobtrusive as possible.
Beautiful house and contents. A very sad story behind it all. The son must have been heartbroken after losing his parents, poor man. I wonder if he still lives in the caravan? Absolutely beautiful house and antique furniture. They must have travelled a lot and collected something from each place. It would have been a very up class home in it's day. It was nice to see a comment from a family friend. I have only seen one other video from you, but yours are made more special by finding out the history. Thank you.
This is a real time capsule. Such a shame about Edward. He probably couldn’t cope with running the farm after the loss of his parents. It’s sad that it is now abandoned and full of lovely items. A great video guys.
Oh what a wonderful house, such a shame to be left even with the son still alive. 67 is not old in this day and age how could he leave it so many memories. Wonderful video Meg and chris thank you so much for all you do ❤
I know people handle grief in different ways and it can be overwhelming but the most important items in the house would have to be the photo's. Family history is priceless. It's too bad the photo's weren't saved and restored to give to Edward for a cherished memory. That would be a gift, never forgotten. Love the respect you have for the people and property you explore and the background history. Love watching your historical entertainment.
Thanks again for an informative walk thru of a lovely old home. The flower shaped wicker item which you asked about is a rug beater. Before vaccuums that was used to knock dust etc out of rugs hung outside.
Those old English or German beer mugs are worth some money it's crazy to see some of the antiques that are just left behind. They should have someone who knows what they are looking at come in and gather what is salvageable and sell it. There is big money in some of that stuff I know a lady who does that and she is loaded and I mean loaded all from things people have discarded as junk
As I have said to Ms. Gardner, If someone really gives a damn they would salvage the artwork, furniture, mementos and treasures of a time and lives gone by. It astounds me how many urbex videos I watch where beauty, memories and history is left to rot. Whether forgotten or not! I love the tours you take me on but sometimes it just pisses me off and or makes me sad. If I were young again (and not decrepid 🕳) I’d start a salvage company… Sorry, Just had to put that out there. 🙏🏼☮️🌎. 💖. 😁😎 ✨🇺🇸✨
This really was a lovely home with some beautiful antique furniture. The kitchen was creepy as hell though 💀 thanks for sharing your adventures once again, always be safe, as I see you are. 👍☮️🇺🇲
Again thank you for the history of the place at the beginning of the video. It provides us with a glimpse into the lives of those who lived there.. this home was decorated and lived in with love. So sad what happened with the son. The hanging of the pig skins is difficult…. All abandoned homes have a sewing machine.. lol….a true time capsule…. Someone loved dishes…
Iv just watched your video... Sometimes i wish you guys would try and save some of the older vintage things. Even if it is stolen that would be worth it. Other then it being wrecked. But thank you for taking your time and showing the older things in your videos
YOU GUYS NEED TO START BRINGING A MOVING VAN TO THESE PLACES!!!!!!! There's furniture like dressers, beds and fireplace mantels in that place that will put your kids through college!!! You could open a shop with the stuff you find!!! Why leave it behind to get destroyed or thrown into a dump site???
Hi Meg and Chris! Lovely place. Shame about this place. Probably very sad memories for Edward coming back to the farm after being charged with animal neglect and such. You can tell they loved the place but at the end maybe Edward couldn’t handle it by himself. So sad! Thanks for sharing.
This is a beautiful old house, minus the hanging pig skins in the other room. I'm an actual person from Texas. I'd actually like to go find the real house (if it still exists) and check it out. Thx for sharing. I enjoy your. narrative. I also couldn't miss the old medicine bottles on various shelves. Probably for the animals. Some of those furniture pieces, and some of the cans and bottles were probably worth something. That was really well researched. Thanks from a new subscriber. This house was a beauty in its day.
They sell a hand held electronic temperature reader about thirteen pounds on ebay you point it at an object and it tells you its temperature, good for finding draughts in a room, you get them from cracked plaster around windows, between skirting boards and floors, light switches, ceiling light fittings and from electric sockets, in old houses.
The glass bottles arent decanters, there for condiments at the dining table, oils, vinegars mustard etc, when mustard only came in powder form and you mixed it yourself at the table.

I love the Phantom of the Opera! Have seen twice in the theater live and several times on dvd. I have a collection of it.
At 4:27 that is a Castor Set-iThe bottles would hold Oil, Vinegar,Salt & Pepper. At 6;45 the box is a Tea Caddy meant to hold Tea.
Please someone rescue that furniture! I can’t believe the owner is just leaving it all there to rot!
20:30 Yeah we had a similar hall stand, with couple of metal boxes at the bottom for the water from umbrellas and the top box for gloves.
The Pfaff 180 Sewing Machine is vintage ,founded in 1862 by Georg Pfaff , not quite sure what its worth though
Everyone as their reasons for doing things and we have to respect the owner of this home for his reasons now.

The wooden box was for tea.The space in the middle was for a bowl to mix the tea from the boxes in either sides when tea was very expensive.
