Shrunken heads from the Amazon were actually a sort of a collectors item for British and Americans in the early to mid 1900s. One could only imagine seeing this horrible stuff in that state...
Not to mention the house had no electricity. So he lived in that state constantly. Imagine living in your house by oil lamp and walking past those items like it was a family picture. Absolutely horrible.

This is why you listen to children. Those parents were lucky he didn’t harm the kids he watched.
he loved being around his little charges! children loved being with him, he would play games with the kids. You have to understand he had the MIND OF A CHILD. Why on earth would he harm them? he may of been a mentally ill man who was severely sick in the head, who loved his hateful and cruel mother. he was not just a murderer and graverobber. their are more sides to him. Its just a tragic story.
i don’t understand how someone can dismiss their child’s claims of seeing disturbing things. the issue with people like that is they’re so quick to hand their kids over to someone else’s care and don’t even consider the possibility it could be unsafe. they just want their kids out of their hair. at least that’s my opinion.

There was a Texas Chainsaw Massacre where Leatherface was a cross dresser.
Everybody said it was trash and thought crossdressing brought the character of Leatherface to a lower level and made him both less likeable and less scary.
Turns out it was the most realistic depiction.

I did a project on Ed Gein in my Forensic Science class in high school. What drew me to him over Bundy, Kemper, and SOS was what he did with the corpses. It was insane when I read his story. Craziest ish ever. Especially when I saw the pics.
He was institutionalized in a mental hospital for the rest of his life. Which was weird, you'd think it being the 1950's and mental health not being well known that he would of been given a death sentence.

Shrunken heads from the Amazon were actually a sort of a collectors item for British and Americans in the early to mid 1900s. So much so that there was a counterfeit market of monkey, sloth, and other animal skulls passed off as shrunken human heads. It was a cover story that wouldn’t necessarily seem that unusual at the time.

My mom tried to keep me away from horror movies but one weekend when I was around 17, me and friends planned to go to the movies and the majority of my friends voted on Texas Chainsaw Massacre, so I went along with my friends and lied to my mom about which movie we were going to, I could do what I wanted at 17, I just didn't want to hear a lecture...but after that movie, I understood why she kept me from horror movies... whenever I hear a chainsaw to this day, I think of that movie and get sick to my stomach, and I'm 54 now...the things people do to others are atrocious...
