Super excited for the next “whelp-a-long”! As someone who is an aspiring dog breeder (I have a 15-20 year plan to learn as much as possible about pedigrees, training, whelping, breeding; raising a litter and all that important stuff) I find your videos very helpful and informative!
I love these videos about Whelping. Very informative and helpful. I’ve watching the one with the live whelping and the videos of that litter growing each week. It’s very helpful to see what your routine is with litters. Edit to add: I am now actually watching the video lol, and I’m so excited you will be doing a series again on this litter and the process. Again, it’s super helpful to have this information out there. Thank you!
What an experience. I didn’t know if I wanted to watch this but I am so glad that did. The nurse/trainer was so helpful n the process. Wow. Carry on the good work. Thanks.
Thanks a lot for this very informative video about preparing a litter! Greetings from Bavaria South Germany. I appreciate your channel and work /dogtraining a lot 👍
Kat- you rock! Love your videos on whelping- so very helpful. Thank you for creating this awesome puppy tracking form. I just ordered it in your website. My girl will be delivering her pups in a few weeks. First time for the both of us! Yikes!
Wait, so it's an hour for each puppy to come out? Oh boy, I'm going to have to watch more videos, I'm confused but excited to help my girl have her puppies! Thanks for the info
We've never had a female go past 63 days gestation from their ovulation wave. However, if you don't pull progesterone you may not know their exact 63 day whelp date. I would reach out to your vet for further advice!
Heyy!!! I absolutely love your videos! I have a question, you said in this video that you initially saw 5 puppies which led you to believe you were having a large litter? We saw five pups in my labs 30 day scan. Does this mean we should expect a large litter or did you mean you were expecting a small litter? Because 5 pups for labs and pointers is a small litter isn't it? Xx thanks for all the great advice
Watching your videos to get prepared for my aussie collie to have her first labor. Worried cause the dad is an english bulldog. Should i have a c-section?
Hi Kat. I've enjoyed watching a number of your videos on whelping pups - very helpful indeed. Our Dutch Malinois (2.5 years old), first and only litter, delivered FIFTEEN healthy pups...OMG. Thanks to you I was aware of the Esbilac replacement formula - we went through a large can every day for a while. This was a planned breeding and homes for a "normal" litter were pre-arranged prior to mating. Sadly, we still need homes for 8 of the little darlings. Any suggestions?
My Border collie is expecting but it has been a week since she started to dig holes in die ground but usually she just lays inside my flat behind My couch during day times and night times she sleeps behind the Jojo tank. She is not very active.. I thought that she'd be having her pups by now, but still nothing

@ 7 healthy German shepherd pups. The mom did great and is still very healthy!
Great video. If 63 days is typical, how many days of gestation is getting too late?
