Love mine, use it to play my PS5 while my wife is watching TV. Also runs many emulators in android perfect. The battery life is better than anything else on the market.
Thanks for the honest review. I might consider this for a gift for a kid, but at that price even that would be tough to justify. I have been a fan of Logitec forever, hope they at least bring the price down soon.
Got mine since 2022 and love that thing so much, I actually use it to do cloud gaming with my 4090 desktop, works amazing when you go LAN no delay at all and the battery life is so much superior than using rog ally or steam deck for cloud gaming, this is a no brainer. get one!
I do love how it feels in the hand. But only getting 60fps from your 4090 is a bit sad and the steam deck OLED or ROG Ally X do make for a great cloud gaming and streaming device but a little big and heavy.
@@nophacetech true! As i mentioned the biggest advantage of the logitech is battery life and weight! Just got my rog ally x today, we’ll see how its gone play!
I did absolutely love this thing and the ally X feels a bit heavy tho they're very close in terms of high quality. so you just stream your entire pc to g cloud? I'm tempted. does this work with any WiFi as long as laptop or pc is on and plugged in? I'd love to do that cause the way it feels is so good
I have the perfect use case for my Logitech G-Cloud. It's my media hub away from my PC and other devices. It's docked in my living room on my big screen television. I use it to pull everything in house together in one screen. When undocked, I use public WiFi, my phone's hotspot, or just android games with touch controls remapped to physical buttons, or emulators. Love my G-Cloud. Price could be lower though.
That’s a great use for this device. I really like it, but I could do everything you mentioned with my Steam Deck and more for just a bit more investment. However, the Steam Deck is bulkier by comparison, and I do appreciate the smaller size of the G Cloud.
@@nophacetech I solely choose a streaming device because I didn't want to feel pressured into upgrading hardware anytime soon outside my PC. Although if I had to pick I'd probably move on a Legion Go.
Ive had my g-cloud for a couple of months now and still use it almost daily. I actually prefer it compared to firing up my console. The bigger screen and how well it feels in the hand makes it worth the price in my opinion. It definitely shines in the cloud gaming aspect and easily emulates up to psp with no issue at all.
My deck is heavy AF. Having a lightweight console to stream my PC content onto seems fine to me. Its the pricepoint thats impossible. You want excellent controls and a good screen, so 199 is going to be hard to reach. Ive tried moonlight with phone controllers but the controllers are always ass. Im looking forward to 8bitdo's new offering coming out so I can check the reviews.
Yeah, if price wasn’t an issue, this would 100% be the best thing ever-so awesome! But price does matter, haha. The GameSir G8+ is honestly amazing; I made a video about it here: ua-cam.com/video/tbdAtp0bgx8/v-deo.html I’m sure the 8BitDo will be just as good and more affordable
@@nophacetech it's hard to get gamesir products here in mainland Europe. I have the X2 from gamesir, but i really dislike the thumbsticks and lack of grips. Ive seen the g8, but i own an 8bitdo ultimate controller and am a fan of its sticks. So im holding out for the 8bitdo ultimate phone controller. It's currently on preorder in Amazon us. Review idea? ;)
Great video. I own a g cloud. I would love to be able to use it on the go as well using a 5ghz hotspot from my phone but the device doesn't support it. Being confined to WiFi only for solid use holds it back as the display size is better than a phone with controller. I emailed customer support to see if the support would be added but I was told straight up no 😂
What phone do you have that it won't pair to? I believe I can share a hot spot from my phone and it works because it's no different than a wifi hot spot.
@nophacetech s23 ultra. I can set the 5g hotspot between 2.4 or 5ghz bands and the g cloud won't recognise the 5ghz. The 2.4ghz band isn't strong enough for a consistent use
@@andrewharry6225that's insane. I have s23 ultra and connect very old android devices to my hotspot with no problem why would this device not connect? Have you tried to usb tether it to your phone and see if you can connect that way?
Maybe I'm missing something and I'm not sure what tablets you tried with your game sir controller but android wise their WiFi is not great... unless maybe the Lenovo y700/legion tab? Even that seems to have WiFi issues and the company not caring. I think the G cloud is that expensive because it has very well optimised WiFi so cloud gaming runs very well plus the virtual button mapping felt better than on the razer kishi ultra for me. Still thinking if I should get the Legion Go cause it's so cheap compared to the Ally and probably enough for most games other than the very intense ones graphic wise.
No tablets, just my Pixel phones, and the Wi-Fi is exceptional-even playing over 5G cell service works great most of the time. The G Cloud is great too, but not better; phones are extremely dialed in, though they also cost 3-6 times as much. The Legion Go looks awesome! I haven’t used it myself, but be aware that new Legion Go models might be dropping soon, so you could be buying something right before new tech is released. I’ve been waiting to see what a Legion Go version 2 will bring, as most companies make big improvements with the second iteration. We saw this with the Steam Deck OLED - massive upgrades - and the Ally X over the original Ally. So, the Legion Go 2 could be pretty amazing.
The big reason for this over your phone.... 16x9 display. Honestly 20, 21 or 19.5 : 1 displays like on most modern phones...its rubbish. And its extra rubbish if your phone has a hole punch or notch. Which most do.
I bought the gcloud when it first released. It was $350 then. I ended up switching it for a Steamdeck and when I want a smaller device I go to a Switch Lite. Once I got the ROG Ally X the Steamdeck sits in its case, but surprisingly the Switch Lite still gets plenty of use.
The ROG Ally X is pretty awesome, but the G Cloud is a tough sell at this price point. Even an open box one at $250 makes more sense. The G Cloud has a lot of good uses, but I'd like to see a version with a better screen and more power for high-end emulation, while still keeping the price point.
I dabble in handheld gaming devices and this is comfotable and has a nice big screen BUT, it uses a fat32 file system, severely limiting games to less than 4gigs and below! I got an rp4 pro that will do almost everything including streaming. So, in its current incarnation its a hard pass for 2025.
The fact that they sent it to you already just turned me off because there's so many devices that do what this thing does....the price for this one migh as well consider a steamdeck

Great vid man perfect watch while I was driving to school
thanks for watching! i hope you weren't the driver 💀
I really do like the screen and how big it is, would be perfect for retro gaming
Yeah I really do love the size of the whole device it's very nice
I just ordered it for half retro half gamepass play. It's literally a N64, Sega Saturn, PS1, Dreamcast, Xbox Series S and Arcade archive in 1 device.

What do you mean? I think this is a good thing unless I'm misunderstanding hahah
Just picked on of these up for my son, how did you get that emulator app? Didn't see it in the play store, and didnt match anything in google.
I still want one! 😮
