Glad you enjoyed our homeland! Construction is very annoying around here considering there is only one road that stretches across the whole trail. Very proud of where I grew up and glad people from around the world can come enjoy the beauty of it as well
Im so glad you enjoyed it! For next time, I would for sure recommend going to a square dance. Super fun dance to learn and try with friends and family, and also fabulous live music too!
The time to get warm water at the beach in Nova Scotia is mid to late August into September. I travel Cape Breton quite often and a great time to go when it's not COVID-19 times in October for the Celtic Colors music festival. There are probably at least 50 live shows at locations all over the island. You get to see the fall colors like you have never seen and get to hear some music that is from Cape Breton and beyond from all over the world. You really get to see the culture up close.
Planning to visit other beautiful Nova Scotia places??? The South Shore...The awesome Annapolis Valley...etc...I'd love to see the beautiful towns and their wonderful huge houses through the lens of your camera and your awesome editing!.
Oh my goodness thank you so much for making such a beautiful video about Cape Breton ❤️ I have never seen someone capture life here so well. It has its struggles but the life here is worth struggling for. Like the bonfires every night during the summer or being surrounded by ocean so a beach is never far away. Thanks again 🙏💙
Finally a great video that captures one of my favourite places in Canada !! Love your story telling and the way you captured the whole experience. Very cinematic ! Where is the first beach you stayed in ?
Hmm, I live in coyote country, never have problems walking in the wilderness, just with livestock. Are the Cape Breton ones especially aggressive or something?
Hi Andrea! Thanks for the feedback and I definitely agree that the video could’ve been more informational. I’ll keep that in mind when working on my next video :)
You read my mind, Andrea B. Overall, it’s a great video with gorgeous photography and insightful observations. That said, make sure to include the names of the towns that you feature in your videos, especially if you enjoyed your stay. You don’t necessarily have to plug specific businesses, but, for example, that beach you visited on day #1, the one with the warm water...let us know where that was! [I was born and raised in Cape Breton, and even I didn’t recognize that spot.]. Most small towns who depend in part on tourism to survive don’t generally get the same notice as Halifax or Peggy’s Cove, so spreading worth-of-mouth in wonderful videos like yours makes a big difference! :-)
I agree! Thanks so much for the feedback! This was one of the first few videos I posted on this channel so I didn’t know any better! But hey, we learn we grow haha!

Cape Breton is one of the best kept secrets of the Maritime Provinces and possibly a good portion of the east coast.
The gem of Canada (in my opinion)

Hmm, I live in coyote country, never have problems walking in the wilderness, just with livestock. Are the Cape Breton ones especially aggressive or something?
There’s been a few severe incidences in the past that became public news so I’d say some of them could be pretty aggressive!
They are mixed breed coywolves, and they can be aggressive.
They are larger than coyotes, and fearless. Caution should be used around these critters.
A young women was attacked and eaten by coyotes in the vicinity of the Skyline Trail….for real.
Hello! Nice video, but a bit lacks information like the names of the area/places where you stayed and/or hiked/visited.
