I think you guys speedruners are missing the true route that can make the diference: Death's poker, im sure that it would be faster, you only have to make the bird fall off the cliff, dont ask me how but there is a way and if you master that trick, you will do it consistently, and having +4 upgrade from iji it's quite enough to destroy most of the early game bosses and i bet you wouldnt ever need Crystal tears for the whole game, saving a lot of time, skiping all limgrave setup, even i believe you can go straight to the magma serpent and avoid all the medallions, because this weapon is completely op. Also if the cliff trick is not viable, there is another option, maybe some holy pots and a critical attack could make the work, of course i didnt tested it but could be possible. Fact: DP +9 with magic crystal tear kills Draconic tree sentinel in two attacks, that's my point of reference.
