Superb Chris 👍 Try a layer of mince and Sauce at the bottom of the pan , it acts as a barrier for the pasta . Looking forward to the next vid 😊

If you drink enough beer while cooking doesn't matter how it turns out still good. Cheers Steve from Aus.

Fantastic work buddy and thank you for the shout out. Really liked your take on it. I'm definitely going to try the addition of the sausage. Adding great layers of flavours.
    Super work. 👍

Looks lovely. I make a similar take on it by using Ramen Noodles instead of the processed Lasagna Noodles. It tends to be less liquid and gives it more of an oven baked texture. That said, yours sure did look good 👍. I could almost smell it cooking! Love TRANGIA STORMCOOKER cooking.

Just a tip, you never put the pasta as a first layer, that's why it burned. Loved the idea, I am going and try this too.

That looked blooming lovely. I look forward to trying this. I would be tempted to cook it for a shorter period and let it finish with the pan wrapped in a cloth. It would soon solidify as it cools and the taste will improve. Thanks for sharing 👍

Dood!, I like your thinking.. Nice one 👍.... And I bet that tastes bloody good.... Just an observation,... When layering.. Place a layer of meat sauce (liquid) first then the dried pasta sheets and continue.... That way, it's less sticky on the bottom when it comes to serve.
.... You got my vote.. Subscribed 👍..

Hey. I’m new to Trangia. Looking for recipes. Your lasagna looks delish. The Italians are probably picketing, but hey it’s camp cooking. Try putting a layer of sauce down first to stop pasta sticking. You could also put a circle of baking paper in first? Love the ideas of using aluminium spacers. 🤓⛺️🍳🇦🇺

Thanks for the info, I would normally put sauce first, but you know when the camera goes on sometimes it all goes to pot lol, let me know if you give it a go or if there is a food challenge you'd like me to do in a trangia. Thanks for commenting 🙂 😀

The stove started slowly because it was over-filled. Not a problem, you might have needed the extra fuel for your lasagna.

Good that you cooked this in the hard anodised pots, I don't think it's safe to do this in the normal ultralight pots. At least Trangia recommend not to cook acidic foods in them

You will kill your anti stick layer if you put it over high/medium high heat without stuff in it besides of spacers.

Could you use a silicone egg ring as a spacer.

Mad recipe and everything looks unreal. Trangia cook sets are hard at the best of times. The scraping at the end was expected with some sticky pasta.... Just got to be real about it. The meal looked amazing anyway

Yes its very tasty and one of my go to meals if I have time always happy with thr results and always try adding different bits to see how it turns out, yes the sticky pasta I think if I had put some sauce in first it might not of been sticky, but to be fair it wasn't that bad, glad you enjoyed the vid and let me know how you get on with with it, appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment its very much appreciated 👍 🙏

You don't drain off the grease from the ground beef?

    • @wildernessnomad3785
      @wildernessnomad3785  Рік тому

Hi there, no as it was a lean steak mince, so virtually no oil to drain, you can see from the video it wasn't runny in a oily sence, especially when I served it up, if the mince had a higher fat content then yes i would 👍, thanks for watching and appreciate your time in commenting 👍
