- Took a look at this Foundation Beta TKL by Snomo (axol studio) and I was pretty wowed! I really loved the sound profile from all the variants he let me try and quite frankly, I would say that this was an impressive TKL!

I dont tend to like higher pitched boards but many of yours have been very nice and some of my personal favourite sounding boards to date!

For keyboards to check out I would recommend The Boston. It is an open source fullsize keyboard with an extra f1 row (CHONKY). RNDKBD just ran just finished his second round. Looking forward to getting mine. Fullsize lovers dont get a lot of love.....so this is end game!

i think a major problem in this hobby is just availability. once you really get deep into this hobby, everything you really want is not available or 5x the price in aftermarket. my dream board is a KC 2/65, but id have a better chance winning the loto then getting one of those without paying 2k minimum
what is it about the 2/65 that makes it your dream board?
@@mrb-btw the machining and build quality are super premium and unique, and the sound profile is super good on the 2/65. and i guess you could say just the name and reputation of KC holds alot of weight as well.

I really love this community, but I am glad to see it slightly calm down. I think the keycap and keyboard market got oversaturated with a lot of very similar products. I am happy that the growth of the community has led to the adoption of more affordable keyboards as well as keycap manus though. GMK is great but I'm really happy with the affordability and quality of MW in recent months. I am excited to see how things are going to move forward though for the keeb community:)

I’ve definitely noticed a decline but I think it’s due to a multitude of answers. With a lot of quarantine hobbyists slowly returning to their normal lives, Tfue kids got their NK boards and cant/won’t buy another. More affluent buyers scalped up all the KC’s and TGR’s on the aftermarket and have their flex for the next 2 years, and with changes from manufactures as to what constitutes a premium board, occurring while so many GB’s hadn’t been fulfilled yet due to the virus, people started to receive high dollar boards with 2 year old manufacturing practices while newer cheaper in stock options started to flood the market. I think the scene is shifting towards a more stable release schedule as long term/life long hobbyists find it. Companies will adjust expectations and design choice for the demographic of buyers that stick around. I’m hoping this means alot more 350-700$ boards for enthusiasts since the rest of the market will be covered by budget options, instock boards from KBD or NK, or overpriced after market. People joining GBs will be just that, GB people, and I’m here for it.

there needs to be less gmk gbs. the 2 year wait for them is dumb. make the moq higher. there are also like a new keyboard gb every other day. it for sure needs to slow down. i am for sure guilty of buying in to a lot of silly GBs. i think i have 22 keybards currently. but that has been collected over years. but the market is without a doubt highly oversaturated. there are too many jwk type recolor switches. they are all the same to the point where different switces are not even different anymore. i have just gone back to cherry blacks cause all the new switches are boring.
Inflation is killing us here in the states with groceries and fuel going up. People are watching there money a little better. But I think it’s here to stay especially if we have you and the community doing these streams and UA-cam videos.
