All superb in sound and looks, you have an excellent eye for detail and symmetry, some real beautiful grain, i like the grain change on the headstock. The blue with the Earth Moon soundholes is a true jem and all played like they deserve to be, great stuff Michael.

Hey Rick, sorry just seen your message. I usually use a 1 x 2 , with a 6'' head stock, ( but that's a preference thing really ) and the length will vary depending on the box length and if I'm doing a through the body design or not.

I really wish i capt the 3 string cigar box guitar you sent me i had order one from facebook market ho ever i order it from put it together when I was a kit i was sopost to build it ho ever build it did a shite job so i have to cut a yeard stick and glue it on
I recall someone on u-tube made either an electric guitar or a bass out of an old shovel. Talk about inexpensive materials! That might be cheaper than your cigar boxes! I don't remember how the thing sounded, but it cracked me up. A shovel! Really? The other thing was since your style of guitar playing is picking and grinning, shit the bass should be a piece of cake for you. Anyway, just a little idea for you. I think the dog bowl sounds better than the paint lid. Better tone
Ive seen the shovel guitars, very cool. I may have to make one some day. I'm not sure which I like better the dog bowl or the paint can lid, they both sound a little different.
