it's humbling to see musicians who play and tour for a living soo passionate about their gear . Goes to show they truly love what they do and deserve all the success they have.
Dustin as really talented. He is just as good of a guitarist as J.B and Brent and has even played solos on some of their albums. So the band actually has 3 killer guitarist, one of them also happens to be a good bassist as well
I like how both Brent and JB could tell you how many resisters and capacitors every one of their guitar pedals has, and Dustin is like "Yeah I turn this knob down, I don't know what it does tho I just know I want it down" lol. As a bassist, I relate
I glad he finally got his own signature Ibanez. JB is such a cool, down to earth player! A lot of people don't like Perry, but I think he's prob just nervous meeting all these cool bands!!
I love it! There are so many video on YT that are catered to the impatient. This video is nice and thorough and Perry comes off really interested and packs good questions. Excellent Video!
Am I the only person who love seeing Kemper/Axe-Fx or whatever in this show? I love it when finally there's some "progress" with 21st century technologies in the guitar rig world.
+TheZooropaBaby I do as well. People bitch about them being shitty for rig rundowns, but people aren't going back to huge back-breaking racks so you can get enjoyment from a single 10 - 30 minute video.
Blu I don't find it boring; i am more interested in how people incorporate those units to rigs; they may have some interesting pedals, interesting guitars, there are tons of other things to care about.
Most people who complain about Kemper/Axe-FX are just ''bedroom'' players, not touring musicians, who never had to organise an international tour, travelling to different countries even continents and paying a road crew.Wolf Hoffman from Accept is also using a Kemper on tour and he said in an interview:''When I'm in the studio,I use my vintage Plexis and custom shop amps. But when I'm on tour with Accept,I can't bring all this stuff with me,it's neither practical nor financially realistic.Also,9 of 10 people can't tell the difference between a Kemper or similar units and a real amp,not o mention most of the audience doesn't care in the first place about your gear, they just want a good live show.In the end of the day,all this digital stuff gets the job done and makes my life easier as a touring musician, not to mention the job of our roadies. '' Keep in mind,Wolf Hoffman is really oldschool, touring since the late 70's with Accept.
Yeah, but still what i don´t like is that you usually are no able to see which pedals give the live sound, it will be nice if they show us the programming used for different effects or sounds
Hey Premier Guitar! Suggestion: whenever modelers like Kempers and AxeFX's come up, maybe talk about what's going on with their patches, like which amp model, cab, etc.
20:10 He's right. My power supply for the EHX Magnum 44 was bad out of the box! Still running the second one for nearly 2 years now and it's been great so far. But there's an easy fix for this: Just get any other 24V DC - 3000 mA power supply. There are a ton of options here and they all seem better then the stuff the EHX comes with. But respect for actually running a bass rig through one of these lol
I’m seeing and meeting abr in august I’m so excited it’s going to be my first metal show! Love these guys until I wait for my show on the 12th I been listening and really just looking into all the band members, they seem like really great funny genuine people! Can’t wait to meet them, they already mean so much to me as they are helping me through a lot (Also love how JB has pics of his wife and cat that’s super cute)
They're SO GOOD live, it's unbelievable. Them and Parkway Drive are so tight in concert that it hurts my brain. In-ear monitors really force a band to step up their skill and technicality. I'm going next month as well, have a blast!
@@theonlyegg I can’t absolutely wait to see them! I love there music abr and parkway drive is a band I wanna see in the future if I get the chance. I’m ready for my ears to be brutally murdered in the best way possible. That’s so sick! Hope that you enjoy your show as well!
Great run-down of your instrumentation; however, I would like to see the set-up for the Hungarian Stringed Cimbalom which I believe ABR is the only band that incorporates the HSC (x-27) in a metal show! In any case ABR are masters of the Metal-2the-Core delivery!
I wouldn't think so. Just watch you don't have it in a really hot area. Just because you would have the adhesive becoming more pasty and stick to the guitar a lot.
+Nick Headlee You only need a power amp if you plan on running it to a cab. If you go direct to the board you don't have to use one. In this instance he's using one to power a 4x12.
Bass player could just talk for days about his bass.. Such a solid band each member master of his craft.
it's humbling to see musicians who play and tour for a living soo passionate about their gear . Goes to show they truly love what they do and deserve all the success they have.
Jay That's just how Dustin (Double D 😂) is; he's an awesome guy!
Jamie Cook agree, you don’t see that a lot surprisingly
Add the fact they're all super humble, they don't act like "yeah we're the best shit"
Dustin as really talented. He is just as good of a guitarist as J.B and Brent and has even played solos on some of their albums. So the band actually has 3 killer guitarist, one of them also happens to be a good bassist as well

one of the best metalcore bands out there - great guitar work
Unearth will be top of the list, i guess
@@glowskullsmedia1499 Hahah yeah no way. August blows Unearth out of the water 😂 although I love unearth, still.
I think Perry does the best job of Rig Rundowns for sure!
+BrandonofRedemption Yeah he is always so stoked, and knows his stuff.
+BrandonofRedemption Rebecca Dirks was better.
@@bertall1ca Not really
@@poopsteroncrack6696 That's like your opinion, man.
Watch the Killswitch Engage rundown. Perry was clearly on coke
The Digitech Drop is absolutely incredible.
I have the whammy version and it's my favorite pedal.
This rig rundown was flawlessly executed 10/10
I love ABR more than words can articulate. I also love gear and PG's Rig Rundowns. This video is a dream come true. I see ABR April 2nd!!! Can't wait!
ABR are masters of composition. One of the most skilled bands out there.
hes not wearing flip flops, what is this blasphemy
I’m shocked!!!
Super nice to have an actual guitarist interview a guitarist.
I glad he finally got his own signature Ibanez. JB is such a cool, down to earth player! A lot of people don't like Perry, but I think he's prob just nervous meeting all these cool bands!!
Dustin is so excited! Could listen to him all day haha :D
I love Dustin's energy. Great guy
I'm not a fan of this band but the bassist seems really cool. Everything I've seen him do and talk about seems really genuine.
Thank you for going through the bass rig.
These guys seem really cool, really nice. And obviously know their stuff too, very cool.
The coolest dudes ever. I've met them a few times and every time they are amazingly nice. They are great live, too.
I think you guys should hit up Parkway next!
Don't fall into the trap of gear war.
Be like August burns Red.
Kemper and Axe-Fx in one Band
Take it a step further, get a kemper for amping and an axe fx exclusively as a pedalboard
Parkway Drive pleaseee
Very tempted to get that Digitech Drop now!
I love it! There are so many video on YT that are catered to the impatient. This video is nice and thorough and Perry comes off really interested and packs good questions. Excellent Video!
Saw these guys last night and it was the most surprisingly awesome show i've ever been to ever
they're using simple digital setup, but they know their stuff and that's makes this interview interesting! 😊
6:21 JB not wearing flip flops? MIND BLOWN
Kemper makes some beautiful looking gear.
+Jason Eckard They look like mobile ECG's, but sound great anyway ;D

Nice to meet the guy behind the guitar sound. Fan of yours from the first listen. Thank you JB.
It seems the bass player is so obsessed with his gear. Nerding out with him must be fun!
I know I like it when it is gear talk I can spend hours days even lol
Hippo campus rig rundown!!! Best up and coming indie band in my opinion. Also from Minneapolis(my home town).
That's awesome knowing he uses the drop petal. I just got one and it helps so much. I'm in an easycore band that plays in drop a#
I'm so so hoping you'll do a rig rundown with Thrice some day
+Justin Robson You and all of us too man!
Yo, they put one up!
I want to see a Thrice rundown from the Artist in the Ambulance days
known about you guys for a long time. but I just subbed cuz of this rundown! favorite band!
JB sounds like a less exaggerated version of Napoleon Dynamite.
Daddario strings are great, Ibanez too.
Hey Premier Guitar! Suggestion: whenever modelers like Kempers and AxeFX's come up, maybe talk about what's going on with their patches, like which amp model, cab, etc.
JB said which patch he used...
I wish that Ibanez still made RGAs. Beautiful guitars.
they have an iron label model
You're right. Looks like most places aren't carrying them at the moment, though.

Do u guys think u could do a rig rundown of blink 182?
+Andy Ake If they tour and hit Nashville we will definitely try and do a RR with them!
+Premier Guitar k thx
+Andy Ake Without Tom?
+Premier Guitar you should try to do one with FIDLAR
+Andy Ake blink 182 are shit though
Please do a rig rundown of Eddie Perez and Raul Malo of The Mavericks.
Ive been seriously considering that digitech pedal, it must be legit if hes touring with it. Save me thousands of $ on multiple guitars and setups.
Phil Smith Did you buy it yet? I‘m about to get it and i need opinions.
@@flowryan5829 it's a great pedal. I use it at home for jams, so I don't have to change the guitar's tuning often.
Kieran Healy i‘ve got it myself now 😅
Good rundown guys.
Love these guys
The bass player is my cousin lol
Here after I just saw them at aftershock in Sacramento CA 2021
I miss spaz Perry. Loved his energy in this era.
this interviewer always wears the best band shirts, first tradgedy now american nightmare guys got gud taste
+1 for modeller through a real live guitar cab...this guys gets its
the most wholesome pedal board
No rig rundown for the vocalist?
rockphil94 😂
I hope that was a joke
24:30 holy mother of tops

Jb from a distance looks like Bellamy from the 100.

Where's Matt?!
did he say August burn with red? 0:42
nah
I love how excited dustin is over his gear haha
Gotcha!

Still waiting for a Metallica rig rundown :D
James: His signature guitar(s) into a Mesa Dual Rectifier
Kirk: His signature guitar(s) into his signature Randall amp
I'm sure a proper rig rundown would go into more detail though
+metalmusician6798 James hasn't used a Dual recto since like 2002.
+metalmusician6798 they're not even using amps now, they're using axefx i believe. at least, they use axefx live
Their entire rig is just a wah pedal
Can you guys do a rig rundown of the GazettE during their U.S. Tour?
I would love if you guys would do this for underoath on their upcoming tour
Please
soooo awesome love abr!
Such fine, young, talented gents. The only Christian band out there who truly fuckin rocks!
YEEEESSSS!!!! I LOVE ABR! ROCK ON!
By the way, great video Premier Guitar!
Please make a Modest Mouse rig rundown, it would be super intereseting to see. And btw love these rig rundowns!
For some reason I'm craving bacon right now.
sick look guitar
I met JB at their show in Cape Town South Africa , weird that they look tall on video but in real life the whole band is extremely short
I’m 6’1 and Jake was literally shoulder tall to me when I got to hang after a show a few years back 😂
I watched this entire video and I don't even play an instrument
Was this shot at the El Corazone in Seattle
You should do a RR with Underoath on their Rebirth tour.
Great run-down of your instrumentation; however, I would like to see the set-up for the Hungarian Stringed Cimbalom which I believe ABR is the only band that incorporates the HSC (x-27) in a metal show! In any case ABR are masters of the Metal-2the-Core delivery!
The drop pedal is dope
please do Architects!!!
Really gota scoop those mids with emgs cuz they be like bwaaaah
Please, Please, Please a Rig Rundown of AC/DC!!!!! That would be the ultimate.
These guys are so great but I wonder if they get a lot of trim on the road. They seem too nice but I just, idk... I just wonder for some reason.
Never seen a wah that does that. Neato.
Can you try to do one with the guys of Carnifex?
+Nunuv yorbiznes No then?
What's the name of the Song at the start of the video?? :o
+10 points for the American Nightmare shirt!
Awesome Vid! Good Job
Converge please?
Hate that green guitar ay
Would you guys be able to do a rundown of mark tremonti?
There's a rig tour of alter bridge (tremonti's main band) and it's the same setup as tremonti's solo project
Is that connected to August and everything after?
Cool dudes
Kempers sound more real when they go through guitar speakers because they breakup unlike linear PA speakers. IMHO
So if you were to make a design on the guitar with electrical tape on the guitar (only that), would it damage the finish?
I wouldn't think so. Just watch you don't have it in a really hot area. Just because you would have the adhesive becoming more pasty and stick to the guitar a lot.
Schecter Guitar as profile pic? nice!
Are Phillies are your favorite baseball team?
“YES THATS RIGHT”
What song is the intro?
Is Perry wearing an American Nightmare t-shirt?
+Greencheese333 Why yes, yes he is! Now, and since always :)
so can you use the axe fx unit as a head? i heard you need a power amp if anyone could give me an answer that'd be cool
+Nick Headlee He's running it through a Carvin power amp
+Nick Headlee You only need a power amp if you plan on running it to a cab. If you go direct to the board you don't have to use one. In this instance he's using one to power a 4x12.
one of fightstar/busted/mcfly would be cool
FInally!
25:25 his laugh cracked me up
Where's the drums?
