    I'm partway through the video and I see the logic in using stone over a driftwood or any other type of wood as a project. My concern when contemplating doing a traditional Shari piece was water log, mold growth and deterioration..Out of everything I've seen on Bonsai, your project interests me the most because it's logical and attainable by myself..bravo..

    wow how beautiful. this is such a unique form of art, taking something natural out of nature then manipulate it in such a way that it mimics nature! kind of ironic really. an incredible art none the less.
    this work is absolutely inspiring, if this is possible the sky is the limit really.

    • @aragustin
      @aragustin 5 років тому +1

      yes, eventually, if the pathway is moist, reach the bottom of the pot, where the fertilizer would be applied. imo, kind of a long way for the top trees tho (i dunno honestly)

    • @janculek1190
      @janculek1190 5 років тому +1

      Yes, they will, the roots grows quite fast actually, because they want to reach the moister in the lower parts of the "mossy tubes".

    Why wouldn’t you make a moss ball pot around the roots?
    I do like the over all design and look though. It would be AMAZING if in 20-30 years those roots followed those trails to the water dish and you had exposed roots!!

    any reason for using sphagnum only and no keto for the eventual root highways to the pot. also didnt see him layer any akadama or an sort of planting medium directly under the root balls.

    • @janculek1190
      @janculek1190 5 років тому +1

      The sphagnum moss is fully loaded with akadama. I consider the mixture of akadama and sphagnum moss as useful and very healthy enviroment for the roots for this type of composition. But time to time I add bit keto as well. Depends of the situation.

    • @nickkellogg4155
      @nickkellogg4155 5 років тому

    Did this survive? Would have seen photos or something of it after it had time to set for like 6 months to a year to see if it actually took to the rock or if it didn't!! It looked nice but not all that helpful cause I don't know if this method truly works due to no pho tos or video of it later down the road to see it's progress. Sorry just honest opinion.
