  • This weekend I had a couple winter preservation projects to complete before garden season begins, along with some freezer meal prep and as always, from scratch cooking. I had some pressure canning to do, some sprouting potatoes to deal with and some items to prep in this homemade kitchen restock.
Below are some of my very favorite gluten free recipes and gluten free sourdough recipes from Kelci at Heritage Home And Hearth. I earn no commission from sharing, just love all that Kelci shares and I'm positive you will love her recipes as much as I do!

Great video 🫶🏽 What's the benefit of cooking the potatoes for 2min before freezing? Can't they be frozen raw?

Thank you! Blanching will stop enzyme action. Prevents discoloration when frozen and results in better texture when you go to cook them

Thank you for such great recipes. I will be making the sausage patties this weekend!! I was wondering about your utensil crock. Is it just a fermentation crock? Like a 1 gallon? I’ve been looking for one but am having a hard time finding one. Hope you are well 😘

Thank you for watching! Im sure you'll love them. Yes it is just a fermentation crock, I think 1 gallon. Antique stores often have them but more pricey typically from them. Have you checked Facebook marketplace/thrift stores?

@abbey is the cast iron Dutch oven supposed to be hot previously to put the bread?

How long does mayo last before going bad?
This is the reason I am hesitant about making it.

You really shouldn’t mix things on your scale. It will mess up the calibration of it.

      Yes that's a good point, I don't normally.
