2007 BMW E63 M6 | Future Classic With a V10

- Today we are sitting behind the wheel of a 2007 BMW E63 M6 powered by a 5.0L naturally aspirated V10 engine, codenamed the S85. In my humble opinion, this car is a soon-to-be future classic simply due to its outrageous powerplant and drivetrain characteristics. It offers a supercar's thrills from the early to mid-2000s for just a fraction of the cost. Assuming one can look past many of the car's reliability woes and budget a few thousand for preventative maintenance, a clean and tastefully modded example of an E series BMW M6 will surely delight anyone who has the privilege of driving one at the limit.

The properly taken care of well maintained 2006-2010 M6 and M5 will be sought after. Only the real car enthusiasts appreciate these rare unique cars
My goodness, such a nice spec. Love the color and how the owner matched everything.
Currently in process of trying to buy all the clean, well speced e63 and e64 m6s in my area. Love the s85
Why?
another excellent review. keep them coming
TOP car and nice content 👍!
I have a custom hand-made exhaust on mine. The sound at 8200RPM keeps it in my inventory. Also drive 63AMG, Maserati, Lambo, R8. The S85 is astounding.
Best Car Ever, Awesome video.
Thank you for the kind words!
Awesome review! The M6 is for sure a future classic. Would love to get my hands on one of these.
Thank you! It definitely is, the car is a pleasure to rip on.
Nice review of the E63! I absolutely love mine, same year as that one- 2007/SMGIII. I have come to the conclusion after two years of ownership that it seems few take the time to really learn this car, and bash the SMGIII tranny to no end. Not me. I love it- but only after having gotten used to its high throttle sensitivity, so I can still use it plenty fine in auto mode around town as a daily.
While the engine is wicked and has a Ferrari type scream, where I really enjoy this car is on curvy roads. Any heavier and it would be too heavy for its power, imo. But it handles and steers with such good road feedback and balance through corners, you get confident with it pretty quick. There is spirited driving and then there is mayhem. Your choice in an E63.
The E63 really has that dual personality engineered in it! Gotta love how rowdy it can be to drive.

Are you prefer E63 M6 over E46 M3?
I ask this question because both of them are coupes?
Awesome video. Im looking to buy a m6 right now. Been hesitant, but I finally found one for a fair price and in great shape. Cannot wait. been wanting an M6 for years.
Good luck man, it’s a sweet car! If you’re interested, the M6 I reviewed in this video is currently for sale!
@@AutoWisdom do you have Instagram so I can DM you? I may be interested!

@@joeybrogna580 i have an E64 with a 6 speed and dont on ever selling it. one of the best cars.
Looks almost identical to mine! Except mine is stage 2 with full exhaust.
Man what a great car. You know, I hear there are a lot of nice roads up in Joshua Tree and Black mountain. Just saying.
Great suggestion, i’ll have to check them out sometime!
Woahhh you’re simply car things, is this your new channel??
Yes sir! Welcome to the new channel :)
That engine was a flawed masterpiece... had a M6 for 9 months, it was intoxicating, rapid and sounded amazing... sadly it had all sorts of issues! It would deffo leave a big grin on your face, and would pass anything bar a petrol station!
Recently swapped to a F06 M6 with the V8... totally different animal! In my opinion a much better car to drive, but i miss the noise!
I'm not a big fan of the F13 wheels, but they look sooo good in black on the E63 M6. What size tires are you running? What brand exhaust is that? I have an E-race w/oval tips, as well as the Eventuri cf intake on my 14k mile 2010 E63 M6, it sounds insane!
Btw...cool cop, he cut you some major slack! Good job keeping your poise and just telling the truth. I've gotten out of a few tickets just by being honest.
Thank you! The exhaust was a secondary cat & resonator delete paired up with a set of Valvetronic mufflers. As for tire sizes I don't remember off the top of my head but I want to say it was the factory F13 M6 tire size.
💯💯💯💯💯💯
You forgot an important detail: the S65 is based on the S85.
The closest BMW will ever get to compete with Ferrari performance
I got out of this marriage before she took everything. That doesn't mean i didn't love her.
Wow.. must have cost a lot to maintain
Not with that flawed smg and the cantankerous engine. It’s also not dry sump.
A few thousand set aside for preventative maintenance can take care of most of the car’s mechanical flaws. And while the S85 isn’t a “true” dry sump it’s oiling system operates very similarly by employing two separate oil sumps rather than having an oil pan at the bottom of the engine.
or take the brave pill and get one , or be week sauce and never know !
