For 2003 when this system debuted it was actually really good. You could've went with OEM NBT Evo system, it has wireless carplay
If you remove screen protector, maybe reflection problem may improve. But at the end of the day if you can install id5-6 from newer vehicles it will be perfect

There is a setting in the factory menu of the Android system that can fix the idrive controller so that it does not skip. The m6 is lovely tho can't wait for the exhaust video 👌🏻

I have a bmw E63 650i and I upgraded the Apple CarPlay to a Xtrons 12.6 inch screen and it really made it look modern.
Aziz, this is why when searching for a BMW E60/E63 I tried desperately to keep it 2010 only. Sadly the only year of the modern I-drive that came on the E60 cars.
Those aftermarket screens are nothing but problems. Plus they are fully invisible when you are wearing a good pair of polarized glasses… you will be disappointed

@@sditybehaver Ehrlich gseit erst zwei Mal gmacht. A mim eigene C63 und a de A-Klasse. Bi mim Auto hani no zuesätzlich Rückfahrkamera nachgrüstet und im NTG4.0 aktiviert. Jedoch han ich d‘Kamera direkt ad Carplay-Box agschlosse und nöd a NTG4.0 da die Carplaybox no dinamischi Iparklinie hät sowie Parksensore bzw Distanz direkt uf em Bildschirm zeigt was original nöd eso isch👍🏼
bro ask a proper bmw retrofir shop if they can retrofit idrive 6 nbt evo and you never ever regret it. I did that on my 2015 f10 5 series and it's the best thing i've ever done to it. more expensive than android screens, but worth it.
Personally I don’t like the shiny screen, touch is also not a great solution. But if carplay works and you can listen to decent music, you can enjoy it

CIC with apple car play will sound better and won't have these problems, and the menu doesn't look too old or too new(flashy), but it will be more expensive, at least where I live.
Why didn't you just buy Mr12Volt?
C'mon man that screen looks shitty and does not have a proper anti glare effect it looks really cheap. A better solution would be an upgrade to a facelifted CIC system which actually does not look bad and install a CarPlay box from MR12 volts, this way everything will look stock and on better screen also you will not lose audio quality as that box sends audio signal through optic cable which basically replaces your CD changer. Keep in mind that for CIC upgrade you will need a new wood trim on your dash because CIC has just one CD slot not two as CCC.
That steering wheel is the only thing that makes me dislike the interiour. Looks like a steering wheel from a toy car 😅
