I kind of stop watching....... at 5:15 into the video you measured for square, than you clamped the pieces. You should have clamp your work together than measured your diagonals for square ( you could or maybe not moved the pieces out-off square while clamping it together ). If your door will not fit the opening right or looks a little crooked at installation, don't blame your tools. Be square Wally, be square.

Reference Ryobi batteries, I've had excellent service from them for the last 20 years or so, from the nicads to the lithiums I have now. Built four decks and countless projects with them

Thanks Tom, that's great information to know. I believe they are good tools for the price you pay for them. I have had a very good expereince with Ryobi as well. Thanks for your comment.

Oh sorry, I put a 1/8" Rabbet on the panel. The grooves in the door are 3/8 deep so the rabbet is 1/8" by 3/8". Does that make more sense?

Alicia Wilcox Hi, yes they are Blum. I believe they are called Tandem. I bought them from Home Depot. Hope that helps!

Hi John, the wood I used for the rails and stiles was poplar. I bought it at Home Depot and it comes in all sizes. I used 1x3's (real size is 3/4"x 2.5") for the rails and stiles. I used 3/8" MDF for the panel because it's going to be painted. Hope that helps and thanks for the great question!

Hi, I set up a zero clearance fence on the Miter Saw and cut the moldings on that. If you send me your email address, I'll send you some pics of how I did it.

what thickness mdf did you use, and how big of a rabbit did you put on the mdf

I used 3/8" MDF with 1/8" Rabbet. That way I could put the groove in the rails and stiles with just a single pass of the crosscut blade(plus a second pass for fine tuning). It also left me room on top for the decorative molding. Does that help?

Oh sorry, I put a very shallow 1/8" Rabbet on the panel. The grooves in the door are 3/8 deep so the rabbet is 1/8" by 3/8". Does that make more sense?
