I kind of stop watching....... at 5:15 into the video you measured for square, than you clamped the pieces. You should have clamp your work together than measured your diagonals for square ( you could or maybe not moved the pieces out-off square while clamping it together ). If your door will not fit the opening right or looks a little crooked at installation, don't blame your tools. Be square Wally, be square.
Thanks for the advice.
Reference Ryobi batteries, I've had excellent service from them for the last 20 years or so, from the nicads to the lithiums I have now. Built four decks and countless projects with them
Thanks Tom, that's great information to know. I believe they are good tools for the price you pay for them. I have had a very good expereince with Ryobi as well. Thanks for your comment.
Oh sorry, I put a 1/8" Rabbet on the panel. The grooves in the door are 3/8 deep so the rabbet is 1/8" by 3/8". Does that make more sense?
in the video it shows you putting a rabbit on the mdf was just wondering how of a rabbit
Hey Wally!! Great video... I am actually trying to find hinges like those... are they Blum? Would you tell me what compant they're from? Thanks so much!!!
Alicia Wilcox Hi, yes they are Blum. I believe they are called Tandem. I bought them from Home Depot. Hope that helps!
Thank you!!! I appreciate your time & effort.
you're tablesaw is all over the place....why does it move so much?
Gino Asci Great question, it is on a mobile base so it isn't very stable.
What are the dimensions of your styles/rails?
Hi, they are 2.5" rails and stiles. Does that help?
where did u buy the woods can u give me the size and kind and the cost of each panel door plz thx
Hi John, the wood I used for the rails and stiles was poplar. I bought it at Home Depot and it comes in all sizes. I used 1x3's (real size is 3/4"x 2.5") for the rails and stiles. I used 3/8" MDF for the panel because it's going to be painted. Hope that helps and thanks for the great question!
Thanks for reply but what did u use for cutting those molding in nice Angles any special tool or ..
Hi, I set up a zero clearance fence on the Miter Saw and cut the moldings on that. If you send me your email address, I'll send you some pics of how I did it.
sure plz it is johnpaktazh@gmail.com thx
my email is johnpaktazh@gmmail.com i finished making mine can u send me some picture the cutting molding plz
what thickness mdf did you use, and how big of a rabbit did you put on the mdf
I used 3/8" MDF with 1/8" Rabbet. That way I could put the groove in the rails and stiles with just a single pass of the crosscut blade(plus a second pass for fine tuning). It also left me room on top for the decorative molding. Does that help?
In the video it shows you cutting a rabbit in the mdf was just wondering how much of a rabbit
Great video though
Oh sorry, I put a very shallow 1/8" Rabbet on the panel. The grooves in the door are 3/8 deep so the rabbet is 1/8" by 3/8". Does that make more sense?
yes that helps, like the way you made the shaker style quick and easy and end result looks good
