Anderson was exactly what a leader should embody. Kind, caring, and considerate when she could be, but strict, stern, and forthcoming when she needed to be. Yeah, kinda shows how crazy some people can be. Many question why they killed her so soon, and while it could be because of administrative reasons, like her going to film something else and things like that. This episode is so important for John's character, because he sees first hand what some people are capable of doing for the stupiest things, he learns that this job will not only get harder but worse emotionally, that's why in the next season he focuses so much in understanding his feelings and while not letting them control him, also not forget them. Bro I'm crackint up at Nolan's face when she is giving him hell 😂 The "no offense" "none taken..." sealed it and I giggled, Nathan is a talented actor. His tears killed me though
It is a really sad moment is the rookie series, but did anyone notice, when Noalan looked up, right before the cops came, there was no blood in the water anymore?
Me too.. i even stopped watching for nearly two week's because everytime i thought about it, it made me sick and want to cry. I have never ever had a death in a TV show hit me so hard and I don't know why hers did..
This scene is rough. It makes you believe all hope is lost and then Captain Anderson breaks her own thumbs and escapes, you believe for that 10 seconds she's going to save Nolan. She kills two henchmen and their leader Cole is running away. He was blindingly firing while escaping, you believe that they will get out of this. Unfortunately, a stray bullet, a lucky shot hits Captain Anderson in the neck and Nolan despite breaking out himself can't save her. The worst part, is when she looks at Nolan as she falls into darkness. The look of surprise and ulimate acceptance of what a veteran cop would know would be a fatal wound. She accepts it, and in those final seconds of her life she realize she was successful in saving one more life and drifts away peacefully. Amazing scene and I've yet to see a better one on this show.
This scene was one of the very first tv scenes that really got to me and made me shed a tear. I watched it as soon as it was release (uk time but I had no spoilers) and it hit me so hard. I think just how Nolan tries so hard to bring her back but she’s already gone, and the way he sits with her until the rest of the team arrives. I genuinely believe The Rookie will end with showing the future, John is now a captain and he’s sorting paperwork, a rookie walks into his office and says “I was told to introduce myself to you before roll call” and it cuts to John smiling and then it fades out, a nice way to pay respects
Omg I just realized that the ending song in this video at the very end is basically Nolan talking about Anderson “I’m gonna win for you like you want me to do”
The parts that hit me the most were, when she started to go under after being shot, and you could see the life go out of her eyes, and when Nolan grabbed her, and you could see the lifelessness in her eyes.

@@vikingpotetI think it was funny I actually laughed
Where I live, they just casually skipped this episode when playing the show on TV. It was EXTREMELY CONFUSING.
I've never actually gone and watched this until now, I'm furious they skipped over it.
That's crazy!!!
He will always be Castle to me 😊
Ha ha I thought the same 😂
I'm watching Castle and I only know him from Castle and he is just Rick Castle to me 😂

Malcolm Reynolds to me
I’d known her for 16 episodes and when she died I cried like a big baby for a good hour and maybe more
Why am I watching this right before bed, I have no idea
Same
Bro I'm crackint up at Nolan's face when she is giving him hell 😂
The "no offense" "none taken..." sealed it and I giggled, Nathan is a talented actor.
His tears killed me though
Fun fact: the actor who played Captain Anderson was leaving the show anyway so they wanted her leaving the show to make sense
Why tho didnt they have her in a full season contract like the actor for bishop?
@@karenwerner615 that I actually don't know
It is a really sad moment is the rookie series, but did anyone notice, when Noalan looked up, right before the cops came, there was no blood in the water anymore?
I’ve been looking for this since Season 1. Hated to see her go. This scene made my jaw drop, and my heart sink. Can’t wait for the next season though!
She was my favorite character, it hurts to see her go.😢💜
I couldn't believe it happened and cried for awhile. This was the saddest part of the Season and in my book for the entire series.
Me too.. i even stopped watching for nearly two week's because everytime i thought about it, it made me sick and want to cry. I have never ever had a death in a TV show hit me so hard and I don't know why hers did..
This was a heartbreaking moment for sure. Absolutely loved Capt. Andersen.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO , why the hell did I click in this video. Just why. I love Anderson soo much she is goddess.
I genuinely believe The Rookie will end with showing the future, John is now a captain and he’s sorting paperwork, a rookie walks into his office and says “I was told to introduce myself to you before roll call” and it cuts to John smiling and then it fades out, a nice way to pay respects
what is the song in the end called... im gonna win for you, song name?
Goes from a sad song TO “OHHHH IM GONNA WIN FOR YOUUU”
Omg I just realized that the ending song in this video at the very end is basically Nolan talking about Anderson
“I’m gonna win for you like you want me to do”
