I study architecture in a brazilian federal college. Today I found out about your exceptional videos and I'm watching them like crazy. Your didactic is fenomenal, better than many of my professors. I'm much more inspired in developing my projects. Please keep making videos like these. Thank you so much!
Wow this video is a golden nugget...I never looked at lighting the way you described. Very well done and thanks for sharing your knowledge. Now, I've a completely different perspective to lighting.
Great demonstrations of your premises, but are limited to high-end locations very modern in design. How about some ideas for your average 3 bed ranch flat?
Big fan here, but I do want to make note of something. Rod cells are light responsive not color responsive. Blue tends to stand out more in darker conditions due to the Purkinje Effect in which red will "fade first" as night progresses, leaving green and blue to stand out more. Nonetheless, great work!
Just to be a stickler, @ 4:35 you said "Degrees Kelvin", however, by convention it should just be "Kelvin" because it is an absolute temperature scale whereas the Celcius and Fahrenheit temperature scales are relatively defined by the freezing and boiling points of water, namely, 0 °C & 100 °C and 32 °F & 212 °F respectively at sealevel and standard atmospheric pressure.
Can you make a video about interior lighting? For example for room, living room, work, etc.. I don't know anything about architecture but I think a few basic tips will go a long way. Just as the 80/20 rule, that 80% of your results come from 20% of key tasks. What are those key lighting principles that I can apply to my home? :)
you might check this video for some basics: ua-cam.com/video/aVXoOuzGA0I/v-deo.html it's an older one, so more image/talking vs. the newer vids which are (i think) more engaging... i have a new lighting video for the architecture short course coming up soon...
Great, as soon as I acquire a 5 million estate home in the desert, I'll employ these tactics. In the meantime, do you have any tips for lighting a modest bungalow? That seems to be the real challenge. Lighting for simple homeowners who are not architects or outdoor luminance experts.
Ha...thats like asking a french patisserie baker to make a round of toast using mass produced white doughy bread..😮 insult to injury. That said, I am also poor however, I've noted that Eric has already given information with which one could apply his wisdom to a very broad range of domestic situations. Look, listen, think, imagine and apply... and leave Eric to offer what jewels he does, without our wingeing and complaints, please!!
+adam jad worked hard to get to 38k ...sights set on 100k...with your help liking and sharing...can't do it without viewers like you...cheers my friend!
You talk about light pollution, but what about the significant pollution from outdoor fires or fireplaces indoors? They are responsible for over 25% of fine particulate matter that we breathe in. Still, I love the video and your channel.
Another useless video with no practical info at all... Just bla bla bla ... After this video we still have no idea how lumens should be a simple lighting-fixture to light a rock.

How can the architecture student improve his patience and innovation towards his desciplin ? Since it is not easy to stay motivated in such field .
Eric, where do you pull your (great!) images from? Any royalty-free resources you can recommend?
