Lectric XP Trike Unboxing - It Arrived Early!

- I unbox the Lectric XP Trike after receiving the surprise of having the package arriving a month earlier than expected. The box was pretty beat up on one side and I kept my fingers crossed that the precious cargo arrived intact as I opened the box.
There are some important tips to keep in mind when extracting the e-trike from its packaging. Even though it comes fully assembled, there's quite a bit to do.

Glad you have help! I'm preparing a second video that should be released tomorrow morning. It will cover things you may need to tighten and check before taking off on your first ride. I found some things that needed attending to before taking off on my maiden voyage.
This box looks great compared to mine. Both rear wheels were bent and wobbled. However, Lectric made it right. Great customer service.

I was watching this when my trike showed up :). My fenders were a little bent, too, but I just bended them back by hand. All good! Waiting for the battery to charge !

Friend got theirs yesterday. Box trashed, rear fender dented, support for fenders bent, rim bent.
They need to find a better way to ship these. Seen many vids, comments on this ongoing problem.
Hopefully the company will send replacement parts.
Yes mine came in with bent fenders too and everybody that I seen has the benvender so they need to address that

I want a trike too, because I hurt my back as well and don't want to risk putting stress on my back, from trying to balance or of I had to brake quicly.

I agree on replacing light bracket. Can you tell me what you replaced it with and where to get it. I might like to add additional brighter lights, at some point, if I am not happy with provided ones.

Do you know where one can get insurance that is not too expensive.
I think color if okay but wish (with there being so many around that I could have a color to easily identify my trike.
Nice video, i received mine last week and the box was dropped off at my home during my absence, the box was laying on it's side not right side up as indicated by the arrows, although that I could tell that the box had been on many of it's sides it wasn't beat up like yours. both fenders brackets were bent like yours and both wheels are slightly bent, not spinning true. the bike though is not doing so well, i have a lot of noise coming from the rear axle mostly when I turn left, something must have broke when they dropped the box. i am in contact with Lectric customer service now and hope to have this issue resolved soon. the rest of the trike was in good order. Just like you,I bought the bike for my wife that is also short and has severe osteroporosis, so we wanted something more stable than a regular bicycle for her safety.
Could you please make a video turning left and right using the pedals alone and one using the PAS 1 level, I would like to compare it to mine and hear if any noises comes from the rear axle. Thanks.
Sorry to hear about the damage! Hopefully Lectric takes care of you. I can tell you that our Trike is super quiet when turning in both directions. If your wheels are bent then the rear drivetrain likely suffered a large side impact and subsequent damage.
Thanks for your reply. After contacting Letric eBikes and making a video of the issue for them, they agreed with me that it had to be a defective differential or bent axles since both wheels are wobblying pretty bad, so they will replace the trike with a new one 😊 ironically i had already destroyed the box so confident i was (still am) of their bike; well they are sending me a brand new box for free with packing instructions… i can’t wait to get that 2nd bike and will let you know how that will go.

@@LectricGohello again, just to let you know that Lectric eBikes company were fantastic they replaced the trike with a different new trike 😊and that 2nd trike is problem free. Prior to receiving the replacement trike they also sent me a shipping box (since i had destroyed mine) free of charge to return the damaged trike… i was impressed of their support… anyway i wanted to share that with you since you sent me some encouraging comments before…

Just got my bike and was having trouble with swinging up that part that the handlebars slide into. Your video is the only one of about 10 that mentioned that. I was afraid to force it but after watching you I put some muscle into it and it went right up. Thank you so much for being so thorough with the unboxing. And my fender is the next problem, need to get someone to come bend it back. Also will tell Lectric. New subscriber now.
I just want to say that when my Lectric Trike arrived by Fedex the box was banged up very badly. In unboxing, the rear fenders were digging into the tires so badly that you couldn't turn the wheels. I think that both rear wheels rims may be bent out of round by looking at the spokes.
Hopefully Lectric can make it right! Packaging design needs to be improved to protect it from Fedex drop kicking it!
Same with mine! Right rear fender. After prying the fender off the tire it had a bad wobble. Needed a major spoke adjustment!
The seat is crap. I love the Lectric company and their bikes. My mom bought one of these trikes, she loves it! it is pretty awesome!But my mom ordered this seat with her trike for the back support. And the back support is pretty cool, but the seat itself is nearly as hard as plywood. She was very disappointed. Cost $ 45.00 in shipping to return. Cloud 9 with a zoom seatpost is the most comfortable I have found so far, but always looking to improve. I would not suggest getting this seat though. Garbage!
Lots of different seat preferences. One man's horrible seat can feel pretty good to another. We'll ride this for a bit and see how it goes. I'll check out your suggested combo if needed.
My trikes back fenders were bent so badly the tires can’t move.
Check for trapped pieces of foam between tire and fender as well. I missed a couple at first.
Mine also arrived early with no notice. The box was damaged, both rear fenders were bent - so much so the wheels were rubbing - and one fender was scratched. Had to email customer service- why no phone support? - that it took 3 days for an answer. The answer has been for me to pull out the fenders myself (they did send paint so I can fix the scratch) which I have tried for over a month. Every time I pull the right fender out, it goes right back into the bent position. Additionally, where the heck is the directions on installing the cargo package????!!!!! This seems like unless I live with a bike-xpert (which I don't) I have to now load up the bike in my car (heavy!), drive to bike shop, PAY to have it corrected and while I'm there have the cargo package installed. This doesn't seem right considering the fenders were damaged in transit. Any suggestions anyone can offer would be of get help! Oh yeah - this is the 1st time I've ever been on UA-cam (Yes, I'm an old lady!!!) so please take that into consideration with your reply.
In some cases I've heard of Lectric offering to pay for some or all of the cost of a bike shop to carry out repairs. I would ask about that option.
How do u adjust the hydraulic disc brakes when they become spongy
This procedure should work for the XP Trike brakes: ua-cam.com/video/pW_jwFDmFxk/v-deo.html The bleed bolt on the caliper is in a different location but it is easy to find because it is the star shaped torque head screw. A simpler thing you can try is to simply pump the brakes and leave the parking brake on over night. Leaving pressure in the system could help any air bubbles to move up to the reservoir. Storing the bike with the handlebars folded may also be causing any air bubles to move down towards the caliper. Try to store with handlebars in the upright position.
You can also just get a threaded funnel designed for bleeding bike brakes and start by burping at the top: ua-cam.com/users/shortsE4flQGp0UaI?feature=share

Does anyone know how this bike is shipped(carrier) and the approximate size of the box. Living in an apartment I cannot have it delivered here. Any thoughts?
Fedex delivered and the box is pretty large. Add at least 6 inches in every direction to the folded bike dimensions for an estimate.

Maybe 42" x 34" x 34"?... a few inches more than folded trike. I no longer have the box.
How long of a wait after you ordered it did it take for you to get your email and for it to ship too you?
Ordered April 19th, received email it was shipped on May 22nd, arrived May 26th.

Mine arrived 1st week in May 2023, total messed up. The trike took enough force and impact that bent steel front/rear fenders, bent the spoke rear wheels and seat post total scrapped up movement is 2”-3” either direction. Sent them proof they want to send me parts, next week will be a month this pos arrive, no parts yet. But, I told them it will be a rebuilt reconditioned trike, I purchased a NEW TRIKE. I want a new trike. They will pay $60 to change out the tire out locally. But I have no way to get the damaged trike to a repair shop. BUYER BEWARE… DEEPLY REGRET THIS PURCHASE.
That is very unfortunate! Sounds like there is enough damage that Lectric, UPS, or Fedex should be responsible to make it right!
