Love the videos. I am seriously considering buying the Lectric XP Trike, and yes, I will use your link to do so. I am 280 pounds, so what is the weight limit. I have a golf course two miles from me, and would like to ride this to the course and use it as a golf trike. So, Will it get me there and back, and carry my 280 pounds + clubs for 18 holes, average golf course is approximately 6600 yards long (3.75 miles or 6 kilometers) ? I know they don't offer the club caddy attachment on their site, but there are several universal ones available to ad to e-scooters. I am disabled, but can still pedal some, and walk a little if needed. Also, If I am using it for golf, and don't care about width, can I use their fat tires with it? Lots of questions, but I appreciate any info you can give me. Thanks, Alan.
My wife has one she always rides it at level 5 and it's still too slow I have an XP premium with the 750 watt motor with the dual batteries. The fastest at level 5 no-pedal assistance 20 mi an hour. My friend has an off-brand same setup no-pedal assistance his bicycle 37 mi an hour
I'M DISABLED VET. AFTER A FEW REVIEWS, I ORDERED A TRIKE LAST WEEK 10 JUL 23. I'M SO GASSED, I'VE ALREADY ORDERED TURNING SIGNALS, FLASHING LED LIGHTS, AND A HELMET. FROM ALL I'VE SEEN SO FAR, I EXPECT TO ON IT IN AN HOUR OR LESS FRM UNPACKING. I LOVED THE FACT THE FACTORY COMMERCIAL BEGINS WITH DOUBLE AMPUTEE GETTIN ON AN ROLLIN OFF. HOOAH, AIRBORNE ALL THE WAY!😁😁😁😁😁😁
Too bad thats a half truth! U have to assemble handle bars, seat, battery. Then you're SUPPOSED to tighten down EVERY connection on it. Plus u gotta install the rack n front basket IF u buy it.
The pearl like reflection and depth of paint looks like a show car! I didn't car about color and was astounded by the beauty of the silver that only shows in real life.
I just ordered one two days ago, can't wait to try it out! For reference, I have the original Rad Rover, my wife has the original Rad City and two of my kids have the original Rad Runners. I also have a Luna X1. This one has me super excited to be able to transport it easier and haul more gear. I bought it for my wife as a surprise!
I sold my Rad City and bought this. That was the right thing to do. Loved the City, but it was really heavy for me, and this one also is so much nicer for taking my small dog along in a Bark Bag carrier in the back basket. She can wiggle without making me wobble, which was not possible with the Rad City. My son loves his Rad Rover and wouldn't trade it for anything. :)
Hi guys, after watching your videos, I purchased an XP Trike from Letric through your affiliate link. I received notification of my label being printed on June Ninth and my Trike arrived today, less than a week. Letric over delivered on its promise of a possible 3 to 4 week delivery. Tomorrow I w film my unboxing. I saw how 2 young guys handled an un boxinh, now you two can see how an old man does it.
Just one person's opinion I believe that the front wheel drive trikes put some kind of twist to the front fork that makes it much easier to tip. Or it just may be the direction change of the front end under power that makes it easy to lift a rear wheel.
My right back fender came bent from shipping. I was able to bend it back into shape. Lectric offered to replace my fender for free. I received the Trike a few days ago and today, the mileage shows 117 km. I went up a long steep hill and watched the battery deplete fast. I never made it to the top, before “HOT” message appeared on my display. I stopped, turned around and coasted down the hill in PAS “0”. Then off went the HOT message (did not return). The battery went right back up to FULL capacity. I wasn’t expecting that for sure. But I was able to make it back home without having to switch to my spare battery. Incidentally, I drain one battery every day and switch to my spare during my daily trips. I am out for at least three hours a day. My biggest problem is the COLD up in North Bay, Ontario. I am slowly working through ideas to overcome the COLD. Today, I got an odd ball sound out of my rear right wheel. I traced the noise problem to loose spokes. Because the spoke nipple size is an odd, 4.2; I used my smallest adjustable wrench and it worked fine. The noise went away (today, no more odd sounds). The tires are all staying at 30 psi well each day and it wasn’t a tire problem. I love my spare battery that I bought to slip in when the main battery dies off. But hey, my travels pretty well match what the manual says for expectations of your battery life. I just love my Trike and travel on it lots each day. I wished they integrated front and rear visible signal lights. I bought after-market ones. When I press the remote button, in the day-time, I can’t see if the button light is on or off. Well traffic sure react to my signal lights around me. I must recharge the rear signal light each day (not the remote button). I have been oiling my two drive-chains each day. Is that necessary? I also clean my disc rotors with 70% isopropyl alcohol each day and get off black deposits each day. My hydraulic brakes work beautifully. But my left parking brake takes quite a squeeze to be able to flip the small lever into place for parking. I got the Lectric end-handle mirrors. I only use my left mirror. It’s ok, but it easily and continuously, gets bumped out of position at that location. I feel, I may switch to a different mirror. I use cargo bags in the front and rear cages provided. That front cage/light was easy to install for me with Lectric’s video. Both cages are real sturdy and are holding up well. My speed at 14 mph is consistent and easy to maintain. I am 70 years old and have not gotten out of breath on my Trike. The Trike has turned me into a Superman. I’ve received many compliments from passerby people and I stop and chat with many. I am reluctant to let anyone ride my Trike, for many reasons. You seldom if ever need a reverse on the Lectric Trike as it turns on a dime really tightly. That engineering is so much appreciated by me. I use Lectric’s accessory alarm. But mainly as a horn. It’s so loud, that I press the horn button well back from people on the trails and the horn sure turns heads! I zip tied the remote alarm/ horn to my remote signal and they detach easily each time I leave my Trike. I unboxed and put together my Trike, by myself easy in about two-hours. But I was meticulous in going through checking the torque specs on everything. Lectric did a good job on torquing up my Trike to their specifications in their manual. Incidentally, I did download Lectric’s manual. Printed each page out and then bought a binder with plastic sheets, that I can insert two pages into each plastic sheet. Great ideas for keeping the manual pages clean, but accessible. I switched to a Cloud 9 seat, with a suspension post; making my long rides more comfortable as I am 260 pounds. I park my Trike in my garage each night and have a great setup to recharge all the stuff and it’s heated too. Quite fortunate, that way. Oh, I rebuilt a ramp into my garage before I got my Trike, anticipating all the traffic. To make space, I now store my winter snow blower outside under a cover. I did buy two Kryptonite U locks and cables, plus Lectric’s fold out lock. Then I bought a shroud to cover my Trike up, when I leave it in public. So 3 locks, the alarm, shroud and I feel secure with two Apple tags in place as well. 😂 Love Lectric’s LCD display. Easy to read all the time and use it fully - lots. I also, use my iPhone with Goggle maps and Sirius radio. I have hearing aids and everything goes by Bluetooth into my hearing aids. It all works fabulous - even phone calls. I did buy an additional Lazer 800 lumen light that I use all the time. I recharge that light at the end of each day. I wear EITHER a high visibility vest or high visibility parka, depending on the weather. My parka doubles as a rain coat too, with a hood. But with my helmet on, during riding, the hood becomes mute. But great to have, to warm up at stops. I did mount front and rear red/ white lights on my helmet for better traffic visibility, on roads.
WOW DONNY, I'M ONLY A FEW YEARS OLDER AND YOUR REVIEW HAS BEEN VERY WELL TAKEN AN SHOULD BE MORE VISIBLE TO OTHER eTRIKERS. I JUST ORDERD MINE BEFORE 4TH OF JULY. I HAVE ORDERED AFTR MARKET TURN SIGNALS, MOUNT UNDER SEAT, BLUE TOOTH, MAKES SOUNDS WHEN TURNING ON. AS I'M 77 I FULLY AGREE WITH WEARING MY LOUD ORANGE SHIRTS. I EVEN HAVE PAIR OF THE LOUD SHORTS. HOW DO I ORDER AN EXTRA BATTERY? ALSO I'D LIKE TO GET THE LETRIC LOCK, I'VE ONLY SEEN IT ON A FEW REVIEWS, BUT IT HAS NEVER BEEN MENTIONED WHILE THEY MEASURED THE LIFTOVER HEIGHT???? ALSO I'VE SEEN SOME SHOTS OF THE BASKETS WITH A WOODEN PLATE IN BOTTOM AND SOME WITHOUT IT. DOES IT COME WITH OR IS AVAILABLE FROM LECTRIC??? FROM ALL I'VE SEEN EVEN A 310 LB FEMALE LOVED IT. FIVE BIG PEOPLE TESTED IT, ALL LOVED IT. HOOAH, AIRBORNE ALL THE WAY1😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
@@billwynne27 the best solution is to buy bags that fit in your cage(s). I’d forget about plywood inserts. Bags, keep your stuff more secure and dry in the rain. My short motor-chain is now skipping on the back sprocket. I’ve stopped riding my Trike until July 20th when the Cycle mechanic is replacing my short motor-chain. My back PARKING brakes are not working good and there is no hold at all, on the rear parking brake. So the bike mechanic is going to upgrade and replace both front and rear discs and fix that parking brake too, July 20th. I’m going to thoroughly clean my trike before it goes to the bike mechanic. Also, I am removing the luggage cages, to make it easier for the mechanic to access the disc brakes. Changing chains and discs just looks too complicated for my poor brain to handle, so I’m getting the pros to do it. They said, they’ll do everything on my Trike BUT NO ELECTRICAL WORK. But that’s pretty darn good of them as I live a way up in north Bay, Ontario, Canada. Glad you found a signal m-device (Bluetooth) remote that beeps. I just mounted my signal on the front handle bar stem and I can now see when my signal goes on and off. I just never use the red in the front. Oh and the signal-device sits above my front bag. One thing I found out about my powerful strobe light at night. Is the bugs ❤️ LOVE strobe lights. The bugs are absolutely intolerable at night with my strobe safety light on. Right now, I just quit night riding until the bug season is gone again. Oh one excellent thing I found, was putting a Bose Bluetooth speaker into my cup bag and hang that at the centre of my handle bars. Wow oh wow, what a fantastic sound as I travel on all my lonely trails. The sound is good for passing walkers and bikers on trails. They always know when I coming from the behind them and move to their right. Oh and they all seem to love my music 😂 I would not buy the Lectric lock and just buy the expensive New York type high security lock. The thieves can cut through the Lectric lock in seconds. I did buy one at purchase of my Trike, but use it with my other locks as a slow-down effect for the thieves.
Glad to know the trike is in production. I ordered in late April, but hadn’t seen anything except the apparent production slippage. Looking forward to getting mine! I chose this trike not only because of price, but because of the rear drive. I had a mechanical trike for years, and felt it would be an easier transition then the front-powered trikes.
I found your video after I just ordered mine! I’m so excited… I’m recently disabled and have been wanting to be able to ride a bicycle again! My car will probably be repossessed soon now that I can’t work, so having an electric trike to get around is so important. Looking forward to trying it out! They say shipping in July.
Like seemingly a lot of people in the comments, just ordered mine couple of days ago and can't wait to get it. Nervous since it's my first proper bike but I'll figure it out once I get the bike
Thanks Ryan and JT. A couple more weeks for mine to arrive (hopefully). So happy to see you guys put it together with relative ease. I also ordered the Wag-Along for my pups. Lectric sent out an email that an appropriate tow bar will be coming. That eased my mind because I assembled the pup cart and with the tow-bar and hitch provided. Looking at it, it was almost as though it would be more of a Waga-Sidecar coasting behind. I was puzzled. The new design makes far more sense with two right-angle bends.
I would like to add a couple of things. If you lock the rear wheels before folding or unfolding. It makes it even easier. And the rear will will lockup when trying to push it backwards when folded. Making it very difficult to to get into or out of a storage space or elevator. If when folded if you balance it on the front and rear right tires. Than the left rear will be lifted off the ground. And it will roll backwards. And please add a rearview mirror on the left side so to view traffic behind you and people making right hand turns if you are in a bike lane or sidewalk.
I saw this older guy on UA-cam he got a large plastic tote from a store and he folded his trike and leaned the tote over and slowly pulled the tote closer to the trike and bingo it was in then he had a ramp that led up to the back of his van and he pushed the tote in and I was so happy because now I can put my trike in without any help
I ordered an XP Trike yesterday for my wife who has health issues but wants to join my daily rides. We have watched numerous videos on this trike and she is totally sold. Much better for her than my tadpole recumbent ebike.
A very good unboxing video. I enjoyed watching and you both spoked very clearly, The Manual link you put in the description was great and I look forward to browsing your online store.
I had a Lectric bicycle which I could no longer operate for medical reasons. I ordered the trike 3 weeks ago and the first ride put a permanent smile on my face. My only concern is that thin cardboard box doesn't offer good protection and the beautiful metal fenders were badly bent. It's not worth the damage just to claim no assembly required and the trike should be shipped without them attached. Now, back in the saddle for a 14mph ride off into the sunset.
I ordered my trike a little over a month ago. Your video answered a lot of questions I had concerns about. I own two of the first year (2019 model) Lectric bikes that are still going strong on the beach in Port Aransas, Texas.
Thanks for your videos! I ordered one for my wife as a surprise birthday gift. It’s due to ship in June. It will be our first e-bike. I’m seriously thinking about getting the Lectric XPremium for myself.
@@EbikeEscape yes everything is plugged in tight, the display comes on for a second after tapping the battery, then shuts off again. I gather the connection going into the battery box is loose and I have no way of tightening it, I'm waiting for a response via email because they do not take phone calls, Its very frustrating. Thank you for your response.
I guess my biggest frustration is now that the bikes are being delivered they have shut down their customer service call center, this is my second day of waiting via email for a response.
Ordered one for my wife. Enjoyed you video, it was very informative. Glad I chose the e bike. She is elderly and some balance issues. I think I made the right choice.
Omg. Love you guys. Thanks so much for all the great info. I’m the consumer that Lectric should be targeting. I’m a lawyer, with a doggie, not a senior but also don’t go to the gym every day and love the outdoors. Help them figure out ti make money. Because I believe in you both and the company. Good job guys.
Thanks for the video! Between my desire to cut retirement overhead by no longer owning cars, not even renewing my driver's license as I live in a city with pubic transportation, ride share, food and grocery delivery, etc, I've really been researching purchasing one of these to get around on MY schedule and with bad knees, my old recumbent is a painful endeavor and can only carry a bag of two of groceries. One thing most of the reviews I've watched never mention that some people may want to pay heed to laws in their own state. For example, here in Iowa, Electric bikes are required to be UNDER 750w continuous AND only have a top speed of 20 mph, although there is some confusion regarding top speed allowed for Class 3 units, (this is one of the longer battery range units that fits those wattage and mph requirements) to be operated without a driver's license. The authority that regulates the vast paved bike trail system here ALSO limits ebike use to the same wattage/mph ratings. Although many streets downtown have bike lanes, there's a lot of stupid people driving cars on those same streets! Lol I do like the backrest seat option for my lower back issues plus the cargo space for running for groceries is outstanding! Hoping to order mine this summer, this video when combined with others has sold me on this unit! Thanks again!
Great video! I just got mine today (8/14/23). It took me a little over an hour to set up. The front basket was a bit of a challenge because of the headlight but it's all good. My first ride was awesome! Again great video!
I got mine! Very cool. I had a glitch, but they were right on it. Ha! You're the only ones who didn't open the box with a knife and swearing. BTW, I'm really glad they protected the rear brake rotor since your initial review. But boy, did they make it hard to clean. Anyone who doesn't think so, didn't do it. But ya gotta do it. Now Lectric needs to make (or find) a tool to help us out.
Best video I have seen about this trike, I bought my wife one and it arrived today and hopefully tomorrow will have time to ride some, I have my own two wheel ebike.
I am definitely going to get this trike and I can’t wait. I do have questions about the battery however. I’m hoping they will be covered in the manual. My questions would be about EMP and how it would affect this bike and battery? Great review guys.
Really good video. I have some questions about theft-protection? Is any built it? Is there a Find My Trike feature, like the iPhone? This is becoming more and more important as you must know? What other options are there for theft prevention? Locks, etc? Can the front wheel be removed or what could be removed to prevent theft? Is there a really good protective cover that is secure or can be secured for this bike or similar? Who would be able to provide maintenance/fix these trikes if needed? Shipping somewhere would not be a viable option? For instance, I live 40 miles out from Denver, CO in Longmont? Any ideas who could do this work or how to find out. Thank you very much.
They need to make one all terrain with front suspension and dark color for hunting and off-road applications!! How well do yal think this would do offroad on dry rarely muddy terrain?
But I love your frame design real heavy duty on the three-wheeler as well as the ex premium e-bike. And you really can't beat the price. For myself I'm kind of an extremist type of dude I always love challenges with my buy and ride toys. My wife loves her three-wheeler hopefully in the future they build an upgraded version bigger motor bigger tires and rims as well as a front fork suspension? I believe that would be a winner for entertaining off-road.
Their suspension seat gives it a great ride. Not missing front for suspension at all - especially since it goes 14-15 mph, so easy to slow a bit before big bumps.
@@Horselings I ordered one from Switzerland for my XP premium e-bike it's a real gel seat with dual springs and they're adjustable and come with another set it depends on your weight. But it's a very very quality see with three different springs you can change out light medium and hard. It's pricey but what's the price when it comes to comfort I say when I ride these things I put a lot of miles on them.
My friend bought a used e-bike the LED screen on the handlebars was damaged. He bought a replacement off the internet his bike has dual batteries like the XP premium. His bike does 37 mph. It blows my ex premium bicycle off the road.
GREAT REVIEW. I ORDERED ONE 4TH OF JULY. AS I LOOK AT MORE AND MORE REVIEWS OF THE LECTRIC eTRIKE, FEEL THAT I HAVE MADE AND EXCELLENT CHOICE FOR FIRST eTRIKE. I RODE FROM 12 TO 72, THEN VERTIGO HIT HARD. I FEEL LIKE A 12 YEAR OLD ON CHRISTMAS EVE. I'M GOING TO 'PAINT SHOP' AND HAVE MY NAME, IN LECTRIC FONT PUT ON THE SIDE. MY TRIKE!! ALSO DONNY, SCROLL DOWN, GAVE A SUPER GREAT EVALUATION THAT ALL SHOULD READ, LOTS OF GREAT INFORMATION. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 I LIKE ALL YOUR REVIEWS AND AM A SUBSCRIBER. HOOAH, AIRBORNE ALL THE WAY
Did yours come undamaged? Mine came with the left rear wheel out of round and the axle bent. FedEx delivered it on the side despite the box having large THIS SIDE UP printing with arrows pointing up. I was home when the replacement came. FedEx driver opened the door of the truck and the box was on its side. The fender was bent so I refused delivery. The third one came and the box was right side up on the truck but the driver was just going to drop it off the back when I said "don't drop it, I'll help you!" the left rear wheel wobbles a little but I can live with it. There is no clearance between the box and rear wheels so if anything hits the side, or the box gets laid on its side, the wheels will be damaged. If they're going to ship with FedEx, they need to package this trike better.
Mine arrived damaged with bent fender braces & one bent rear wheel. Tried to contact Letricebikes but never got back to me. I removed the wheel & got the wheel so at least it turns within the fender & straightened the fender braces also. It's pretty tipsy so must be careful when going faster. Deluxe seat with backrest pretty much sucks. Other than these issues I've enjoyed using it to cruise around the neighborhood & at car shows.
Muchas Gracias ... The only question I have is ... When the trike arrives, is the battery ready to go, or you have to charge it for 7 hours before you use it? Greetings from Woodstock, NY. So excited. The Trike arrived yesterday (Memorial Day Weekend 2023). It is Sunday Morning and the BBQ preparations have to wait until I unbox and try The Trike. You guys did a wonderful job on your video. Now I am ready to open the box, and begin a new era of my biking life ...
Mine was 75% charged. However -- the instructions say it's best to give it a full charge before taking it out. We rode ours for a few minutes, and then charged to full. Yesterday we went on an eight mile ride, using throttle a LOT, and the battery still shows as full, not even down one bar. Great longevity on battery. (Don't forget to change settings to faster and more power after you get a little used to trike riding. Instructions in manual.)
Your trike looks better than mine. The fenders look and fit properly. The rear wheels don't need any truing and there is no rubbing or ticking noise from the rear. Good for you.
Got our trike rear fenders bent bad wheels not turning. Told by lectric to remove fenders.NOT EASY change design. Provide tools to remove these fenders. So you 2 bike guys love your videos. Give some tips of how to fix a few issues like this rear fenders problems.
Hi great reviews. Unfortunately, don't see the trikes in Europe. Uaed to have an ICE Adventure, great bike but had to sell due to poor health. Are the tested bikes imported out of China?
Just bought one if these, Does the P8 setting do anything with top speed like the other Lectric’s bikes. Factory is set to 20 be nice to know the secret settings they don’t want you to know to get some more power.
I absolutely love both of your videos on this trike (Many Thanks!!!) but I have a make/break question before buying. How steep a hill can it climb with a person about 280 lbs and maybe 20 or 30 lbs of cargo? Your hill test was with 145 lbs and that's about half what I need to see :-) I live in a fairly hilly area and the ride I'd like to do includes some steep climbs. My Liberty Trike can't handle the hills and it makes me nervous about laying down cash on another trike.
None of the basket accessories come with the trike any longer. I have a lit of streets to cross that require walking all bikes. At 90 lb it can be a hard push. Does this have a walk-along assist?
I have a horrible back. Most days I can't walk but if I do its only from one room to another. I wonder if this would help me to get outside and is it able to get out in the winter if there is no snow on the ground? I may have to save my pennies for one, if its something that will work for me.

My trike while trying to ride pulls to the left when moving straight ahead. On the neck of the handle the bar faces to the right. Is this correct position. HELP!!!!
@@EbikeEscape Wow! Thank you gentlemen, I hate the shifting stuff hanging down on the other trikes I've viewed. How very smart. That peek at 13:09 was really nice. I still dream of a tadpole upright trike but I just may pick one of these up while waiting for the rest of the trike world to catch on. Will Etnnic ever find it's way to our shores?
Put 750 w motor on it and I'll pay the price. I'm 250 lbs. @ 6' 4", I need the extra power. Been looking forever for an affordable rear or mid drive trike. Bought a Rad and gave it away, then got a Pedego and sold it back to the dealer. Found that front drive trikes can be extremely dangerous in wet and slippery conditions.
@@EbikeEscape I live in a very rural and small town, the 500 w would be ok for around town but to go anywhere else I run into hills. Would that peak get 250 lbs. up a 7% grade?
@@paulgruddell The answer is YES. I just got mine and I weigh 330 lb which is the max rated rider weight. I can make it up a 9% grade. In PAS 5 my speed is only 4 mph @ 20 amps with NO pedaling, but it can make it. The hill is "S" shaped and about 500 ft long. The peak grade of 9% lasts about 100 feet. I was going around a 1/2 mile flat loop (except for the dip down another hill and up this hill with no pedaling. After the 3rd time up that hill I got a "HOT" warning but it kept going. Any hill requiring 20 amps will eventually over heat things if the hill is long enough. I plan to figure that part out, but now it's Winter here.
I ordered one and it’s supposed to be delivered in June, I need it more than I want it because my knees and back is giving out on me and it will make it easier for me to get around ❤🎉❤
It was very difficult to unfold by myself. I had to get behind it, to tip it on the wheels, and begin tounfold, then went around to the front to complete the unfolding. Very stiff; because it's new, of course.
I think this might be the first trike out there that doesn't have the motor in the front wheel. Makes the bike more usable having the motor in the back powering the 2 rear wheels. If I bought a trike, the Lectric would be the one I'd go with for sure.
OK, I have but one question. Who delivered that near pristine box? I know it wasn’t FedEx that usually delivers them. They mutilate the box. So, did you pick it up at Lectric, or did you have a personal shipping company bring it by in a limo. Honestly, that box is in too good a condition for FedEx or even UPS.
They make it look A LOT easier to unbox and unfold. I recommend having a young, strong, able-bodied person do it for you. There are NO directions included. It took me over an hour to put it together just so I could move it out of my front yard where the delivery truck dropped the box off.
Maximum rider weight is 330 lb and 415 lb total for cargo plus rider. Front basket is 35 lb and rear is 75 lb. Max total is 415 lb not 440 (330 + 35 + 75 = 440)
We need a 6ft plus and over 200 lbs with hunting gear and a trailer with a climbing stand on it. Real world situation in the woods. Im 6,4 and 250 and want one for hunting. How strong is it really? Thank you for your videos also
Hunting? Are you thinking of off road usage? It not really made for off road. Smooth hard packed trails maybe. Max loading is 35 lb front cargo, 75 lb rear cargo and 330lb rider with 415 lb max total (not 440).
Hey all, I have a Radwagon and an incoming rad rover for myself. But I'm looking to get a bike for my (very active) soon to be 80 year old dad. Not sure how much use it would get so the price point (and color) of the lectric is appealing compared rad trike. Curious if anyone knows what drives the cost difference? Don't want to get him a p.o.s. either obviously.
My current daily driver is a 1 gear regular trike. I’m trying to choose between an electric trike or a gas scooter/moped. Would yall recommend this for everyday use as opposed to something else?
We are electric bike proponents, so we may be a bit biased 😉. You are already used to riding a normal trike so an electric trike wouldn't be too difficult of a transition.

Bought one for my wife and ships in June, can't wait to ride together! Bought this coz my wife doesn't know how to bike, and this is the solution! 😊
I just wished they came in different colors. But that's not a big deal. The fact it comes already assembled is a huge plus for me.
I was afraid I wouldn't like the color, but it's actually a gorgeous platinum silver that's much prettier than it appears online.
Too bad thats a half truth! U have to assemble handle bars, seat, battery. Then you're SUPPOSED to tighten down EVERY connection on it. Plus u gotta install the rack n front basket IF u buy it.
@@laurelglass9326You know you can ALWAYS hire someone to do all of that if you aren't able to or don't want to do any of it.
The pearl like reflection and depth of paint looks like a show car! I didn't car about color and was astounded by the beauty of the silver that only shows in real life.
The lack of color options is why I went with Heybike instead of Lectric. Otherwise I would have purchased this instead.
I'M GOING TO PURCHASE A REGULAR LECTRIC BIKE FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO ROLL WITH ME! ORDERED LAST WEEK AND DYING TO GIT IT.🤩🤩🤩🤩
@@billwynne27Were you stationed at FTCKY? If so, when?
Hi guys, after watching your videos, I purchased an XP Trike from Letric through your affiliate link. I received notification of my label being printed on June Ninth and my Trike arrived today, less than a week. Letric over delivered on its promise of a possible 3 to 4 week delivery. Tomorrow I w film my unboxing. I saw how 2 young guys handled an un boxinh, now you two can see how an old man does it.
If I were to get a trike, this would be the one. It seems to be far and above better than the others.
It is. I have one. :)
Just one person's opinion I believe that the front wheel drive trikes put some kind of twist to the front fork that makes it much easier to tip. Or it just may be the direction change of the front end under power that makes it easy to lift a rear wheel.
@@timbuckingham6734 the XP-Trike is a rear wheel drive, right?
@@marciagilbert3996 yes it's rear wheel drive with a differential
I’m thinking about buying a trike next year I hope they come out with more colors like hot pink 😂
Love Lectric’s LCD display.
Awesome post!
Oh and they all seem to love my music 😂
I would not buy the Lectric lock and just buy the expensive New York type high security lock.
Imagine having wheel hub motors on all 3 wheels. oh man that would be sweet!!
Not a problem. We hope you, and your pup) enjoy it when you get it.
I know this post is a year old. Just wanted to thank you for posting it. I just got my trike a week ago. This helped me a lot. Thanks.
Thanks!
Thanks Rachel, that was very nice of you.
I had a fender issue on my new XP. I called support and they said they are sending a whole new fender assembly!!
Got one coming I hope in May. Thanks for the unboxing video. Can't wait
I already have one on order ... my first eBike! 😁
Can't start mine after charging?
Is the display plugged in?
@@EbikeEscape yes everything is plugged in tight, the display comes on for a second after tapping the battery, then shuts off again. I gather the connection going into the battery box is loose and I have no way of tightening it, I'm waiting for a response via email because they do not take phone calls, Its very frustrating. Thank you for your response.
I guess my biggest frustration is now that the bikes are being delivered they have shut down their customer service call center, this is my second day of waiting via email for a response.
You just need to push the button on the battery to reset it. It's in sleep mode.
Just got mine yesterday. Rode it for the time yesterday. Going to love it as I get used all the extra's on it.
Enjoy it!
Ordered one for my wife. Enjoyed you video, it was very informative. Glad I chose the e bike. She is elderly and some balance issues. I think I made the right choice.
Nice bike for the money. When i did first ride impressions i was having a hard time with turning and wanting to lean in on my turns.
There is a bit of a learning curve that has to be gotten over. But once you are used to how to turn and such, it is a fun thing to ride.
We just got ours. We also got the saddle seat. I am having trouble though locking the seat in place.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you guys so much. You did a great job showing us and feeding us with so much info. Great video!
Great video! I just got mine today (8/14/23). It took me a little over an hour to set up. The front basket was a bit of a challenge because of the headlight but it's all good. My first ride was awesome! Again great video!
Thank you so much for the info on folding and specifically with the front basket!
I got mine!
Any problems with batteries catching on fire?
I ordered mine on May 10th. I am looking oh so forward to it. Lectric said it shall ship late June🚲 Thank you for the tips☮️
SO excited for this electric trikes.........I have been waiting for a more perfect e trike, american made. thank you guys
I tried it out today. It's amazing! I can't wait to bring it to work tomarrow.
Great job guys , we just ordered one.
I would like to see a trike with two wheels up front and one wheel in the back.
I believe it would Feel more natural & make it a little more stable.
Sixthrezero has a pretty nice one….called the Tad trike.
I got mine almost a week ago I’m so happy , I zipped around the neighborhood like a pro ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉
Im considering one,,,,but the brearings falling apart really bothers me.....HELP
My friend bought a used e-bike the LED screen on the handlebars was damaged. He bought a replacement off the internet his bike has dual batteries like the XP premium. His bike does 37 mph. It blows my ex premium bicycle off the road.
wish you could buy one with a second seat..... ?
HOOAH, AIRBORNE ALL THE WAY
Great video, so helpful. Wish I had seen before I ordered mine so I could’ve used your link 🤦🏻♀️. Can’t wait to get mine
I have been thinking about buying one and you guys have sold me.
Thank goodness I found the video on how to put the trike together.
Great review guys. Helps me to make an informed decision
Fed X was crappy for us too! I hate them because this is not the first time we got something big and they dumped it at the bottom of our driveway.
Excellent! Best look yet at this trike. I'm old, I'm fat and I'm going for it.
Nice! Appreciate it if you use our link before you buy.
Just got one. Packing sucks back fenders were bent against the tires
Bummer, I've heard that before. Hopefully easy to bend back.
Excellent help, I just received my Trike XP, do you happen to know of a Trailer Hitch Mount Cargo Carrier for this trike
Yes, see our video on the Hollywood trike adapter.
Also if you misplace the keys how easy or hard is it to get new jets for it and how you buy a charger for it is it expensive
Yes! I'm 260lbs and would use it for hunting WMA sand and hills is where it would be. We need a off-road test with a big Man on it
So, do all e-bikes ship to my door folded up and packaged in a box?
Next thought. Do they regenerate for braking or recharging?
Start motion without peddling..allowed in supermarkets?
None of the basket accessories come with the trike any longer. I have a lit of streets to cross that require walking all bikes. At 90 lb it can be a hard push. Does this have a walk-along assist?
Are they good on the beach did they fix there wheel bearing problems?
I have a horrible back. Most days I can't walk but if I do its only from one room to another. I wonder if this would help me to get outside and is it able to get out in the winter if there is no snow on the ground? I may have to save my pennies for one, if its something that will work for me.
I need to know the dimensions as I live in a disabled apartment. I know the XP 30 would fit but my balance is bad due to a stroke.
We ordered one, can’t wait to get it.
Hope you enjoy it Diana!
Love the videos. I am seriously considering buying the Lectric XP Trike, and yes, I will use your link to do so. I am 280 pounds, so what is the weight limit. I have a golf course two mile from me, and would like to ride this to the course and use it as a golf trike.
Don't forget to buy good locks and tracker if you're going to leave it parked while playing golf.
My trike while trying to ride pulls to the left when moving straight ahead. On the neck of the handle the bar faces to the right. Is this correct position. HELP!!!!
How does the drive system work? No shifter?
It's a single speed
@@EbikeEscape Wow! Thank you gentlemen, I hate the shifting stuff hanging down on the other trikes I've viewed. How very smart. That peek at 13:09 was really nice. I still dream of a tadpole upright trike but I just may pick one of these up while waiting for the rest of the trike world to catch on. Will Etnnic ever find it's way to our shores?
Thanks guys, that was awesome 🤗👏👏👏
Thank you!
Do you think the 1092W peak wattage would be enough?
I plan to figure that part out, but now it's Winter here.
how do I adjust the rear fender that arrived pressed against the rear right tire?
I ordered one and it’s supposed to be delivered in June, I need it more than I want it because my knees and back is giving out on me and it will make it easier for me to get around ❤🎉❤
It was very difficult to unfold by myself. I had to get behind it, to tip it on the wheels, and begin tounfold, then went around to the front to complete the unfolding. Very stiff; because it's new, of course.
Is the battery removable for charging?
Does the front light comes on
How do straighten out the rear fenders? After unpackaging?
I think this might be the first trike out there that doesn't have the motor in the front wheel. Makes the bike more usable having the motor in the back powering the 2 rear wheels. If I bought a trike, the Lectric would be the one I'd go with for sure.
OK, I have but one question. Who delivered that near pristine box? I know it wasn’t FedEx that usually delivers them. They mutilate the box. So, did you pick it up at Lectric, or did you have a personal shipping company bring it by in a limo. Honestly, that box is in too good a condition for FedEx or even UPS.
Ha, it was indeed FedEx. Arrived in excellent condition
what is the height when folded , with the seat removed ? thanks great videos
The front tire seems to be straight, but the front fender is a bit askew. Any suggestions for straightening it?
They make it look A LOT easier to unbox and unfold. I recommend having a young, strong, able-bodied person do it for you. There are NO directions included. It took me over an hour to put it together just so I could move it out of my front yard where the delivery truck dropped the box off.
Great job guys I just ordered one for my wife.
Awesome electric trike, I’m in the market for buying one does this trike comes with fat tires like 4.0” or 4.9”
Would you happen to know what the handle bar diameter is?
HOW MUCH WEIGHT DOES IT TAKE FOR A PERSON
Maximum rider weight is 330 lb and 415 lb total for cargo plus rider. Front basket is 35 lb and rear is 75 lb. Max total is 415 lb not 440 (330 + 35 + 75 = 440)
Do you need a drivers licence in PA
How can I get one delivered to PR 00795?
Does a light come with the Trike or is that an accessory?
My current daily driver is a 1 gear regular trike. I’m trying to choose between an electric trike or a gas scooter/moped. Would yall recommend this for everyday use as opposed to something else?
We are electric bike proponents, so we may be a bit biased 😉. You are already used to riding a normal trike so an electric trike wouldn't be too difficult of a transition.
GOT THE BATTERY IN PLACE, PUSHED THE BUTTON TO UNSLEEP IT. PUSH THE ON BUTTON, SCREEN WON’T COME ON. HELP
