Nothing major, just some small flaws. The electric start on the raven is kind of a waste, it seems to struggle turning it over fast enough to start it sometimes, but pulls super easy so I don’t even keep a battery on it now. The 6 way wedge is hard to use because you have to clean the wood out every split or it keeps working it’s way up and off so I pretty much stick with the 4way. It has to be pretty level or it blows oil out the overflow so it’s hard to find a spot in the woods sometimes. For the price they are pretty minor and easy to work around.
Elm, it usually doesn’t split that easy but it was a tree that had just fallen and temperatures were down below zero with wind chills -20’s so it split pretty easily for being elm.
I’ve done a few 30” pieces of maple and that was the tipping point of the splitter, I had to help balance when I used the log lift. It split them no problem but it still takes a little man handling when you get rounds that big until you get them split into 4 pieces.
Be sure the watch the video ua-cam.com/video/eCBRgxk4gGo/v-deo.html getting all the logs cut up ready to split.
U keep putting out these splitting videos I’ll be here watching! Thanks

Nice setup, how big can you go with it, log size ?
