I see the stock barrel coils. Which of the MSD Coils would you recommend also? Seen a few of the other builds have them. Wasn't sure which you use though also?
It’s common knowledge across most platforms that Oem coils are the go to for even the wildest builds. They might look nice in the engine bay with the fancy ones, but most perform best with Oem.
With arp studded bottom end 317 heads what would be conservative goal hp and boost wise to live long. Also have all other arp bolts and aftermarket balncer??????
A 383 stroker is like a big block. At least the old school 383 strokers with a big old 4barrel carb na of course. Back when they only have 5 wires on the whole motor.

$6500 most ppl can't afford?? This is the 6500 package with added oring which I doubt adds much cost. I feel like that is a very obtainable short block
95% of the people that want 1000 HP don’t even need much more than 1/2 of that. 600rwhp in a fox, on the street is Wwaaayyy more than enough HP. So many people want to use Dyno numbers to justify how fast there car goes. A SBE LS will live a long happy life at 600 to the tire with a 7875 turbo provided it’s turned properly.
If u can make 600 -700 whp with a old gm stock steel sbc style crank. shouldn't have a problem with ls Keep revs 6000 to 6500 won't ever hurt it. Dunno why guys turn these v8s 7500-8500 rpm dont need to.

I don't really race I just like fast street cars on slicks so I can't just buy everything @ once

I get LS engines are cheap but I don't why Chevy guys get all butt hurt when coyotes can make high HP stock boosted. LS engines can make high HP on boost but it isn't just stock they need some support. Even with support mods yes it would be cheaper then a coyote swap. But coyote engines are getting cheaper and cheaper.

My motor is a gen4 iron block, eagle 4340 forged crankshaft and H beam rods, mahle powerpak pistons 11.1 compression, 317 heads cnc ported with btr valve train/ls7 lifters/chromoly push rods ect. 6 bolt main caps , 4 bolt heads, all arp bolts through the entire motor, E85 pump gas id like to make 1200-1300hp turned all the way up. Is that doable?
